I think part of it could be also that in 3.0 at least the first half of it or so they came up with cool getaway plans that made it fun also. Right now at least, there’s no excitement or adrenaline robbing because there’s no setup or plan to make it fun. They can just escape before cops even show up.
The maze bank heist is boring as fuck. You literally just do it and dip, no cops and chase. Back then there used to be set ups and that when Yuno usually hang out with the crew. Now he just meet up to do the heist and then leave.

@@constancea8050 Once any crew presses the button and the vault doors open, they have 3 mins until the PD comes. If they don't hit the vault door and just do the barred doors, it's a completely silent heist as long as nobody sees them or snitches them out.
In comparison to 3.0 everything in 4.0 is more complicated. Don’t get me wrong some of the new mechanics are super cool but it also makes doing a lot of things much harder. Also for Yuno to be fair he went to jail on his very first day in the city lol. At that point he had nothing to lose and said we ball. Personally I’m loving Yuno becoming more independent.
everything in 4.0 is designed to make roleplayers use up their time on mundane mechanics, to make them stay in the server longer in order to just exist, instead of letting them use their time to create story/rp.

In 3.0 you have little bit grind and then you have a lot of free time to do other things that not rely on mechanic.

My personal favorite 3.0 heist was the VAR Room with all the guards and the hacks. After the first few completes it got old but the process getting there was intense.

Based on the no reward thing its only because they havent fully successfully done it yet but the success they have done they got money. They dont even do it enough to start getting money in pocket as well as the fact that people can just go in not pay a dime an expect to get something without at least breaking even
No it's just more so the fact that OB keep all heist money for reinvesting into crew. Hes done a number of heists and hasn't gotten paid back for mats acquired or from doing it

They should just make it that they can get paid a bit more than what is spent in a heist but make it much harder. Also another idea would be to see if each heist can be made "personal" meaning that not two jobs are alike so that there is no meta, they all have to put actual work into it to solve the heist and in the end the prize is enough money to pay out to all members excluding the cost. if anything at least half investment back would maybe help because the money put into the heist is an investment and should be accepted that they will not see that again. They should have to fund said heists doing either working civilian jobs or doing the other illegal stuff. Would be nice if they can make it auto pay, meaning depending how far they get into the heist or if it completed, using the chips they have each member signed into the job get paid out for the job automatically. The money or loot they get from the job itself is a % of what was used to do the job plus hidden blueprints etc which could be tied to how fast they finish a heist or a hacker rating etc. Now if they just want heists to have heists and not put in the time or work... that's a different story than saying there is a problem with how heists are run.
the heists in 3.0 only needed you to convert to crypto for the vpn and laptops... unfortunately, it got to the point where banks were hit on cool down and they needed to severely limit the number of banks that were accessible, then made the puzzles even more complex, requiring more pieces and more skill... it was around that time that ratio of payout to material cost made them not worth it... and that's carried over into 4.0
The issue is honestly less the server and more the crew he's in. The heists could have triple the payout but if Lang Gang decides he doesn't want to pay the crew and keeps juicing the farm (despite not needing to at this point) ultimately it makes the payout meaningless.
Hot-take; everyone with old connections should've gradually worked their way into the crew. I.e. Larry, Martin & Yuno all were "invited into the crew" and got a staple position without any "work" i.e. donny, Vito, Clark etc. all had to put in weeks of effort; rolling with the crew etc. before being invited in.. They were already "part of the crew" once they got the invite. Like there's a balance between being independent, doing your own thing and proactive but also "being part of the crew" VS "being In the crew, but never part of the crew".. And I feel like that's becoming a more common for them, lots of names, no cohesion between them.. Tbf the characters should hammer down some structure and tell the other members, but i def feel that the streamers are really enjoying the chaos of it all.
