One of the best ways I've seen of constructing the cube. I've just tried soldering up a 3x3 cube using the LED legs, as per the instructions, and the result isn't cube shaped (the anode legs aren't long enough) and it's basically an abomination. Himanshu Suthar executing is much easier than planing, design and programming that kind of project. It's like building Lego model from a instruction manual: you don't have to know why, just follow the images and you will succeed. But creating your own model with the same quality and complexity from scratch: much harder.

Himanshu Suthar then find people who do the programming for you. Build a team, you present the ideas and convince them. If it is good they will come up with that they need for the software to work and you provide that (with hardware schematics, prototypes). That's what engineer teams are about.

I hope you are still reviewing and replying to comments. Thanks in advance. I really liked your design and I followed pretty closely only made one change on how the vertical wires connected. I did a circle with this wire just like you did with the horizontal wires. I am having one issue, Column 13 (D0) doesn't have enough voltage to light the LED when the other 15 columns are on. Column 12 (D1) is slightly lighter. Voltages on the Columns 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15 are at 2.65v. Column 12 is at 2.6v and Column 13 is at 2.4v. I have ordered some smaller resisters, I am going to try a 75 ohm first and if that doesn't help I will try a 62 ohm next. If I change the code to turn on all LEDs on any one level, column 13 will not light and column 12 is slightly less bright than the other 14 columns. Has anyone seen this same behavior? I am running this with a Nano. As long as I don't try to turn on too many LEDs per level the design works well. If I do, column 13 (D0) doesn't work. Thanks for your design, I enjoy working on projects like this.
How did you do those lines of solder at 7:03 in the video? Did you just use solder all the way up or did you put a tiny piece of wire in each hole leading up to it and then soldered that? This part is unclear but everything else is pretty clear.
Nice work! You connect 16 wires to control by 64 led's. One wire for 4 led's. But in your presentation every single led works separately. How it works?
