I think the reason that Advent was surprised by Liz's impressions was possibly because they thought they were sound clips from previous streams. At least, it's the best theory I could come up with.
The Brittish are not the only ones that call fries "chips", but I believe they inveted the term.

It’s not just the people submitting clips for you but the clippers in general seem to LOVE Raora. I kind of understand it because even though Liz had the best debut I’ve ever seen it’s Raora’s streams that I find myself chilling in. It also helps that she normally streams early in the morning for me so I have it on while I’m going to work

To be fair to Cece, the 1080Ti outperformed the majority of the 20 series and all of the "low end" 30 series. It's absolutely usable for many recent games.
Yes. I had the base model, the 1080, between early 2018 and summer last year (still have the same pc, upgraded the SSD and RAM) and it was a decent GPU for medium settings. Only reason I bought a second hand 2080TI 8a VERY good card, tbh) was that I had issues running Baldur's Gate 3 properly without the PC going near meltdown, GPU included.
The 1080ti was the best GPU for price to performance and longevity that I can recall in the last 25 years.
Raora having an issue with pineapple on pizza while her favourite is with fries on top hurts my brain.

First of all, thanks for saying that you like the german language, even though it always feels really off to me when Kiara speaks german. And second, we also call chips the same way you Americans do, but fries are called Pommes (Pommes-frites)

As a Frenchmen, I can confirm Fries are in fact not French, they are Belgian. I think the misunderstanding comes from the fact that Belgians speak our language and thus people probably thought they were French but unfortunately it's to late and asking people to change now isn't easy lol. I just feel bad for the Belgians cuz they made one of the most common foods in the modern world but don't get credit for it.
Also Brits and Australians call Fries "Chips" and Chips "Crisps" to my knowledge. I can give calling chips "crisps" a pass because they are crispy so it makes sense. Idk why they call Fries "chips" tho. Even in French we call them Frites which directly translates to Fries because that's how they're cooked.

The thin cut are often still called fries but the more traditional thick cut are called chips. Also British accents change when you are 10 minutes up the road from each other

As a British person myself, Elizabeth is the first hololive member i can relate with lol, Things she says i understand it but with the American vtubers when they talk about stuff it goes over my head, I do understand what Americans mean sometimes cause of being online meeting American friends, If they say chips i know that is crisps and fries to me is chips lol
A bit with me listening to LatAM Vtubers... so much of what they say doesn't connect with my experience. Few from Spain tho.

I learned basic English in school but it really took of when I started reading/watching manga, anime and game of thrones in English as the German translations tended to be slower and I was annoyed at having to wait. I pretty much got to a level where I'm fluent and going by instinct rather than knowing the actual grammar rules and I think I get it correct most of the time.

French fries are dutch (I think) in origin, but they are cut with a French cut. They are Frenched and fried potatoes, or french fries for short.
Fries on pizza is actually unironically really really good! My college made some and it was way better than I expected.
I have a GTX 1080, I play modern games on it just fine.

It really depends. America has the Mid-Atlantic or Transatlantic accent, which is more posh than SOME British accents/dialects, at least.
