I know this is a random comment but I’m British and I moved to NZ about 6 years ago now. The car culture here is easily one of the things that ive fallen in love with most. Kiwis love engines and ripping on their cars and they love rotaries 🤙

That's how it is here NZ incuding the entire globe 🌍 it's all about a passion for machines that over time brings the right people into your life with the same goal as yours.
I had a lot of rotas in my teens but switched to blown v8s, turbos and 18 speed trucks once I hit my 20s. Still love my cars and bikes but theres nothing I like more than a 18 speed with the Jake's clapping while floating 🔥🔥

I used to work for a desiel mechanic in the early 90s in NZ. I was 18 and my mate was a 17 Yo country boy. He was rough as guts but could get anything going as he'd worked on tractors and motor bikes. We bridge ported our first 13b into a 323 hatch but couldn't get it started. One of our boss's was a world renowned Caterpillar mechanic his name was Rudy(earth moving machenery). So we had Rudy and two other A grade mechanics and they couldn't get our piece of shit chook cooker started so they said. They go back to their Happy Hour beers and long story short my mate brings over the slave batteries, flicks it over to 24 volts fires her up and hallelujah. Don't know what damage we did and we didn't care, we were up and running with a brap brap lol.
Our Boss's allowed us to work on our cars as long as we wanted after work as long as we locked up set the alarm, weren't late the next day and worked hard. It was a deal we couldn't refuse.
PS. We did skids and swung Os in the yard just like this vid.

Wow that's where pimpnlow7 seven got to. Last time I seen this was in the mount years ago with its new owner. As the og owner wanted to take it to aussie with him. But heard it was a hassle so he sold it on down south island where he was living & it ended up here in the north island. I wanted to buy it. But didn't have near what owner wanted. I know it sold for under 30k as I remember under the hood needed repainting as it caught on fire. But the 2000 look is why I wanted it bad. I would of kept it exactly as it was. Just 100% nostalgic
