This song is available as a bonus track on the Japan Import edition of the album "On My One". Another bonus track on it is the original non-duet version of the song "Waiting".
DayStarPoet I actually like that version better than the one with Noah Cyrus. The piano music sounds way too upbeat and cheery for the rather somber lyrics. As for this one, “Never Mind” could’ve easily been one of the main tracks of the album along with “Never Wanna Dance” and “Love, Hope and Misery”. The songwriting is just incredible and the music more akin to his first album. I understand that “On My One” was mostly about experimentation and trying new styles, but in my opinion this worked rather unfavorably in most cases (like “Ain’t No Rhyme”).
@ALM Animation Late reply from me as well. Habits didn't make it. But I'm glad at least Scene made it. I loved both of them when they were first played live.
@@crechecreepy4190 I think he said in an interview that Waiting didn't make it on the album because the producer kept procrastinating on him and he just couldn't wait any longer. He said it was ironic that the song was called Waiting. I liked the Bonus version alright. But it felt unfinished to me. The final duet version is a bit over-produced, but that's what the mainstream likes.
@ALM Animation Sony Music is trying to push out as many records for each of their artists these days. Miley released her LIVE album twice in a span of a few weeks. They're now releasing a 10th-anniversary version of Jake's first album for him. I'm already looking at ordering both the CD and the Vinyl. There are going to be some previously unreleased songs, but only two I've never heard before, Pretty Colours and War. Are you familiar with any of these two?
Awesome track. Why are the best ones always left off the albums?
Beautiful song ❤️💕
Simply amazing.
This is fucking great
Saw Jake in utrecht he was great ❤
I adore Jake, but how was this not on 'On My One'? Never Mind is way better than most songs on the album?
