We have a lot of underrated players in Brazil, and this is the best of them. Internationally he deserves much more attention than he get (although the top players and experts know him well).
I’ve been calling him the best since 2006.
He is a South Brazilian Genius .Paco de lucia got up to applaud him at a concert
se fosse do norte seria norte brasileiro? 🤦♂
@@JoseNeto-hl2qesim?
Haha he’s not really new. He has dozens of albums & has been releasing them for decades. He’s been playing since he was 7. 😆 But he is godlike indeed. Insanely talented, & I love his musical sensibilities (Spanish romantic era classical guitar & churo are some of my favorites, so the way he blends those kinds of sounds is just splendid).
Watch "samba pro Rapha" by Yamandu if you want to be impressed
The song is called Porro, from the Suíte Colombiana nº2, by Gentil Montaña
No sabía, gracias
Well, the Porro is the base..... He threw a lot in there that is not in the piece. Probably 25%-50% he is making up as he is playing.
O melhor que nós temos é ele gênio demais 😮
Temos vários...
He is the brazilian GOAT, playing for so many years, u will find a lot of old material from him
Salve Yamandu Costa do Brasil!!!
nosso grande Yamandu Costa, orgulho brasileiro
Yamandu is a genius!
He's the best guitar player in the world by far, no one can even get close!
Only Paco de Lucia, but unfortunately he passed away!
He's definitely not new. I discovered him when I was 18 and I'm now in my late 30's and I'm from the US. Awesome to see him getting some appreciation. Great vid.
With regard to the video title - All due respect but Yamandu has been winning awards since the mid-1990s. YOU are new to this, but we've been appreciating his art in Brazil for a long, long time.
This is the cultural equivalent of someone first hearing about coldplay now and saying "New pop rock band?" lmao
Facts!
Brazilian musicians are in another dimension, this guy is literally a five star constellation. I’ve seen lots of musicians from around the world, brilliant ones but I’ve never seen better Yamandu Costa. My Brazilian heart ❤️🇧🇷
Every Brazilian is from Earth.
Yamandu is Brazilian
BUT
Yamandu is NOT from Earth.
I just thought this when I heard "Sarara" the other day. That is not any genre that I know of. Yamandu's music is from his own world.
In fact, Yamandu Costa normally likes to switch notes on light speed!!! This video is absolutely beautiful, but for anyone who has already watched these light speed videos, he seems on vacation here, having a drink under the sun light!!! Regards.
Brazilian God right here. Basically a prodigy and basically a guy guitarists will talk about 200 years from now
Yah-Man-Doo The entire Brazilian scene is world class.
If you could drop some names, that would be great
he is not new. he is very well known world wide filling up theaters all over the world for 15 years. Even Paco Lucia wrnt to watch him play. Yamandu Costa isban extremely amazing musician
" Colombian Rhythm "...fantastic..
Brazilian pride... Please react to "Samba pro Rapha". You will love it !
take a look at "choro loco" and "samba pro rapha"... mind blow stuff!
A LEGEND. ABSOLUTO FENÔMENO!
samba pro rafa is a song that yamandu made in honor of another incredible Brazilian guitarist, rafael rabelo, who unfortunately died at just 30 years old due to heart problems, it's really worth making a reaction to Rafael rabelo's videos
"He is realy good", bro, Yamandu is GOAT on strings
Show esse vídeo!
yamandu Costa, is the best on the guitar
Fera demais!!
"New"
Guy has been around for almost 30 years
...baaaarrbaridade tchê !!!!🫢🫢🫢
Very good!!!
Just to add here, hoping @EvilcorkinReacts will see it one day...
If you want to REALLY see what a concert from him looks like, and how the separation between pieces and the tuning... Have a look at his video Live Yamandu Costa - International Jazz Day. Everything flows, and it's rather hypnotic. So, his musicianship is way beyond that of a simple guitar player. Then go to his channel to watch him playing with symphonic orchestras. It's a list without an end.
He also has a friend called Alessandro Penezzi (suggestion for your channel)
Yamandu, he take you to a trip when he plays his guitar.
Here in Brazil things are so difficult and we are so emotional that our greatest are the best of world for us. But, is a fact, he is one of them
Here in Brazil Yamandú is a legend. 🙂
The music is Porro, from the colombian composer Gentil Montaña. Yamandu makes a free interpretation
there are a lot of great brazilian guitarists. would definetely recommend dilermando reis and marcelo bonfá (specially the album introspection by bonfá)
Ele maestro de lá guitarra !!
It's funny for me to see Yamandu associated with the adjective "new". He has been quite well known in Brazil since the late 90s and is considered to be a genius, a sucessor of another great Brazilian guitarist, Raphael Rabello.
Yamandu é extraordinário 🇧🇷
The Best
With all due respect to fingerstyle, Yamandu is way beyond it
Cuelguen todos sus guitarras, siéntense y escuchen
Yamandú is the Brazilian master of the 7 strings guitar
The colombian's sexy song in a brazilian version, he is The best
he have a beatiful show in japan, i recomend.
"This is raw talent, this isn't learned" Nope, this is 100% hard work. If you learn his story, you'll understand.
another great Brazilian talent musician....I suggest you react a video interpreting in Guitar the Argentinian Piazzola most famous song;
he isn't just good.... hahaha... he is the best
National treasure!
Mestre do violão 7 cordas
Eu sou brasileiro .... escutem Raphael Rabello.... best Brazilian guitar
The best of Yamandu Costa is "Samba Para Rafa".
Veja: Samba pro Rapha
He's the Brazilian GOAT on guitar.. before was Raphael Rabello.. :( RIP
look for SAMBA PRO RAPHA Yamandú Costa
Brasil :)
listen to another of his songs "Samba pro rafa" ...please be seated when you listen to it
You need to make some research on Brazilian Guitar style playing.
There are lots of guitarists playing the VIOLÃO (how the classical guitar is known in Brasil), with nylon strings and finger style with nails.
Many, as Yamandu, play the 7 string model.
Pls react this preforming "choro loco" of Yamandu Costa
Yamandu e brasileiro vocês tem que engolir!!!!!!
???
Listen Samba pro Rapha (yamandu Costa)
ELE É BRASILEIRO GAÚCHO.
Look for "Samba pro Rapha"
"interprets Colombian rhythm" 😊
Yamandú Costa is extraordinary! Alessandro Penezzi, Robson Miguel and Fabio Lima also play their instruments with excellence. I particularly like the way Fabio Lima plays the guitar!
Some of the greatest Brazilian guitarists were Dilermando Reis, Baden Powell and Aníbal Augusto Sardinha, but the greatest was Raphael Rabello.
Outlfworld
Tab please.
Well, let me give you another Brazilian guitarist playing an Argentinian song, obviously worth to list here among the others: Lucas Imbiriba, (but Raphael Rabello was also an amazing one, sadly passed away)
ruclips.net/video/BnyVtP7YQi0/видео.html
React gabriel henrique
Earth Song
Lead the way
Saiving all my love for you
Feeling good
And more 🙂😉
Reaja a Raphael Rabelo
Well, if you want the best guitarists please react to Lucas Imbiriba playing Malageña... really man... just do it
Oh yeh. What country is he from? How good we talkin?
@@EvilcorkinReacts Both Yamandu and Imbiriba are from Brazil. How good? You will start believing that Imbiriba is the best guitar player in the world.
I know how ridiculous this statement sound, believe me. But what Imbiriba does is just absurd.
React first to Malageña, then to Sultans of Swing and then to Hotel California.
Just do it man, really... I promise you will not regret.
@@EvilcorkinReacts duuude you're gonna be blown away by this dude too
Must be kidding 😊
"NEW"... Dude, he's been around for at least the last 20 years... And he's world famous for at least the last 15!!!
And c'mon... That is not "fingerstyle"... That is just normal nylon guitar playing (that he can bring to another level, of course). Also, he has many other songs that are WAAAAYYYY more interesting, both musically and technically. That is one of the easiest ones he play!!!
Please, listen to more things from him...
I'm. done.... I'll never consider trying to play guitar again.... If I can't do that I'm selling my guitars.... I don't even want them around to remind me I can't do that
Nice one... this rithm is from Colombia. If you wanna see him playing a southern brazilian rithm you should try "Sarara"! Is just much better than this one!
well, i prefer sarara over this one too, but you can't say it's "better" it's just an opinion thing, in terms of skill, in this song he presents more of his skills than in sarara
why cover his right hand ?
New?!
Bring Raphael Rabello!
suggestions for doing reacts:
João Bosco and Hamilton de Holanda
ruclips.net/video/3Y9KF11wPl0/видео.html
João Bosco, Yamandú Costa

John Bosco
ruclips.net/video/Jki55Yn4-mg/видео.html
He does a better one!
if you liked yamandu, look for raphael rabello, another guitar brazilian genius
Luckily it is not a beautycontest!
Reacciona a Matías arriazu y verás!!!! Es de argentina!!
Wow I didn't knew this guy. He is like the argentinian version of Yamandu lol, glad I discovered him through your comment
And from indonesia alip ba ta
Yamandu is not from planet Earth
I don't understand the point listening to our beloved Yamandú having you repeating the same thing over and over. We know Yamandú Costa being a very professional violão player. Why do we need having you disturbing talking nonsense saying how good he is. We know it already...maybe you didn't. Useless talk!
Nothing "new". He has been around for many years.
Just makin noise !!! !
Literally every musician ever
Ah, I already know.... another mere score parrot, probably an erudite who thinks that only what he does is correct, know that many times he only exposes his limitations and the inability to recognize and understand different "musical proposals" and styles approach.
Não curto, e n vejo graça
