- In Gabby's latest series, Gabby (a high school golfer) takes on elite Division 1 golfers many different places across the nation. 9 holes 1 V 1 Matchplay at Arroyo Trabuco! Her next match is agianst Amber Davalos, representing Cal State Fullerton. Gabby traveled all the way to Southern California from South Florida to play this match. And it got intense, Gabby almost made a hole-in-one!
Amber's got in to golf at the age of 14. Despite a later introduction to the game, she has successfully played Division 1 College Golf. A testament to her commitment!

Man, this was so enjoyable to watch. Kudos to Gabby playing a totally different terrain and different grass than we have in Florida. Wonderful conversations, polite, sweet, and informative. Unlike some of the other so called influencer girls.

Golf courses are nature, even though they’re groomed and stuff. Gabby: “I don’t do well with wildlife!!” Cracks me up. By the way, always carry a club when you’re searching for balls, especially when you know there are snakes and other creatures that might be around. Amber was fun, and I like how you two got along. Where I live here in Australia, the ratio of men to women that play golf is about 90% to 10%, and even fewer young women. It's great that you're promoting golf within this demographic. Excellent work!

Buy her clubs, sign her up for a team, take her to the range , chip on the back lawn. You can't get kids interested in youtube golf until they understand the game. ( my theory, has been put into practice. We will see how this spring goes) Good luck!
She has to see how fun golf is to EXPERIENCE for the golf bug to bite. The more positive things associated with it, the better. And then when she realizes how hard it is, encourage her that it's about the journey and the experience and that's worth it.
Excitement comes with competence too - a few lessons with a suitable coach will make a world of difference. My son is addicted to the game and is currently off 3.9 at 13 years old. He has always desperately wanted his sister to get into it. When she was about 8, we got her a few lessons with an amazing lady who coaches the Australian junior team, and in a short time, had our little girl looking like a mini-pro! She loved it.
However, in her case, her other sports - swimming, tennis, cross-country etc. have taken centre stage, but now she can confidently address the ball and hit it well, and who knows!
Good luck my friend - let's hope your granddaughter is bitten by the bug!!

Gabby I absolutely love this challenge, what a brilliant idea. D1 golfers , I'm not sure exactly what that means, but after watching this I know it means quality golf at a high standard. Amber such a lovely young lady with some wonderful golf skills to boot. I don't know but your golf has gone up a notch. On a new course for you and you nailed it. That almost hole in one was exciting, I felt like Amber said you were robbed of a hole in 1. Your swing looks more confident and the putting was almost perfect. A few birdies and a great score. @@jerryuma Division 2 and 3 are lower divisions again because of enrollment. The more people the bigger pool of better athletes to choose from.

As with most all spiders, tarantulas keep to themselves when it comes to humans. They like to make their holes slightly under a rock. I moved a rock once and there was about a dime sized hole. I was watering a tree and some water splashed in or near the hole. Out popped an 8 inch diameter tarantula. The problem with spiders other than they can bite you if you accidentally force them to, is they will greatly multiply and then be all over your house. They are great for a while because they take care of other bugs for you, but then they multiply. Especially black widows.
Mountain Lions will see you and usually you won't see them at all. They are normally a bit spooked of humans, so they will stay away unless an circumstance such as hunger from a bad winter, etc... drives them to stalk you. They are much more active at night too, so I doubt you would see one in daylight on a golf course.
I really enjoyed this one Gabby! You guys really hit it off and it was super fun to watch! I have got to get my two granddaughters to watch your vids!

Gabby love the video. But just a little advice. If you do more. Help us to get to know the girl with some questions. I know it’s about mainly golf. But I think it would be great if you sprinkle in “what music are you listening to”. “have you seen any good movies lately” and “favorite fast food”… Just so we can get to know the person you are playing a little bit. But great video. And I’ll definitely be following the path of this D1 player. 🔥

Gabby great video like always , an observation on hole 6 you stepped on her line while checking your putt. That’s something you have to be aware of when playing with another person. Specially in a tournament.
