Eu amo o Brasil negro. A cultura, a música, as mulheres, o estilo de vida inteira. Pelo menos no Brasil eles ainda sabem o seu património Africano, nós negros nos EUA não sabem as nossas raízes Africano.
I saw this documentary years ago and this Sister's voice has haunted me since then. I would really like to purchase some of her music, especially the song she did in this video. If anyone know how I can obtain it, please reach out.
Can someone give me a list of authentic, non-appropriated Afro-Brazilian (real) samba? I don't want to be a like somebody looking for reggae and being given UB40 LOL. I'm on a search for roots. Thanks!
well.. i dont know all but here are some artists: cartola, leci brandão(from the video), martinho da vila, mart'nalia, bezerra da silva, os originais do samba, etc... u will find many more if u look up those
Zorgoon Trollstones check out Sister Saloma De Bahia's version of another star (Outro Lugar) is the name, and Tomento de Amor will put you in the black Brazil mind. The story of the sisters and brothers is the same every where, peace!
In Brazil Bossa Nova is just a slow version of Samba, and also a sub genre of samba. And if you like samba / bossa nova I recommend you listen to one of the greatest Brazilian and black singers in Brazil (Cartola). Look for Cartola - Alvorada, Cartola - Preciso me encontrar.
Leci Brandao as an artist, hit the limelight, became a legend. today she is one of the best brazilian singers and politicized sambista alive.

Do you have the Nigerian 80's Video . Roots of Music ?
That beginning of that music, you have to remove it, it makes no sense, other than that, I love the real samba music video clip.
