Portugal is one of the safest countrys in the whole world. That is a fact. But please bear in mind, like in any other country you will find bad people trying to get advantage of tourists (mainly in the big city and usually not from locals... not being racists just another fact). My advice to you if you are struggling with this in Portugal: ask for help to any local person or Police. Portuguese people are super friendly and helpful and they will be pleased to help you. Once of the things Portuguese people are proud of is: being honest, helpful and friendly. Any local will defend you against any type of scams or agressive behaviours. You can trust them. Also, most of Portuguese people know how to speak english. You will not be left alone.

I had an amazing trip to Lisbon this summer. Such an awesome place and amazing people. However, I got caught up in a bad situation with gypsies when someone in my group sampled their fake drugs and then refused to buy it. We were suddenly surrounded by 30 of these guys threatening us demanding we give them cash. During your interactions with them in this video, there was very likely way more of them around you than you realized based on my experience. Don't talk to these guys at all. Great vid though haha

Telling people you sell drugs and then scamming them in itself should be a crime.... They always walk straight up to you and have 0 shame in openly trying to sell you fake drugs. Visit Lisbon around March 2019. Didn't see that many of them. One night, me and the bois decided to go out and buy some in a rainy night, we smelt people smoking on the street. Tried to approach and ask them for some but they always said no. We walk around for maybe 2 hours, before catching a taxi and give up. But then guess what? We told the story to the taxi driver and turns out, he was actually the one who got something for us. That was like a small happy-ending fairy tale for us.
