The clear film is used for your metal plate. You put the clear film on your phone first where ever you want your metal plate to go, then stick the metal plate on top of the clear film. It keeps it from scratching your phone plus remove it easily when needed.

Yes , you can put both plates in your case if it will fit. Keep in mind you cannot have any metal plates on the back of your phone if you want to use wireless charging.

I bought this for my car and put it in today. The hardest part was finding a spot where I could see it and it was not in the way of any displays or controls. I taped the metal plate inside my case like you did and took it out for a test run. It fell off twice. I just pulled it out and put it on the outside of my case. I will test it later, but it should have better grip.
It will depend on how heavy your phone and case are. It has less holding power with the metal plate inside your case, if the case is thick it wont hold very well. I had the best result with the plate on the outside of the case.
@@HighTechCheck I put it on the outside of the case and the metal part and the plastic sticker both came off and the phone fell. I think it has to do with the texture of the case. It is a rubber like material with a texture. This time I removed the plastic sticker part and used some super glue to glue the metal directly to the back of the cover. So far it is holding.
The adhesive on the mount has worn off. Any remedies?
Did you use the clear plastic sticker that you put down first? Do you move it from place to place? Mine has not moved since the day I made the video. You can try using a strong double sided sticky tape? just make sure to remove all of the old sticker and clean it very well.
Doesn't the magnet that you taped in your phone case erase credit cards if you forget to keep your wallet or purse, that contains you credit, card away from your phone?
Can you put your phone near credit cards w/o erasing them?
The magnet is on your dash and there is only a metal plate on the back of your phone that is not magnetic so you shouldn't have to worry.
