The "guy" is not just playing the piano, the guy composed the song . His name is Igor Krutoy and is known internationally as a music producer and composer mogul. When he heard Dimash a few years back, he came out of retirement to collaborate with him and this song is one of those.

Brother, I Loved your reaction. Thank You!❤ But, if I may share some of the things I have read, the "pianist" is not his pianist. That is Maestro Igor Krutoy, who I believe composed this piece and came out of retirement to perform it on stage with Dimash. This gentleman is TOP of his game. Also, the guy with the "violin", that is not a violin, it is a "kobyz", a traditional Kazakh folk instrument. Dimash chose to add the kobyz to the song after hearing the melody, feeling that it would fit perfectly. It is a Kazakh instrument, I believe I read, that it was invented by the guy playing it on stage for Dimash, and of course he is the top player in Kazakh. Please, anybody, check me on these assertions, but I have been IMMERSED in Dimash since I first discovered him about a year ago, having seen thousands of reactions and performance. I have read SO much, and I believe I am correctly quoting, if my memory serves me, but I could be wrong. I truly believe that Dimash is the BEST Vocalist on the Earth, and MAY be for ALL time! You should also check out, "Sinful Passion". The guys on the stage with him are from the original group who performed that song, so this is a "cover" for Dimash. The guy on the piano WROTE it. Their original lead singer passed away. They allowed Dimash to sing it as a tribute to the dead singer, which explains the ritualistic chant like yodeling section of the song, which is a Kazakh funeral tradition. There are entire stories behind Dimash performances and the stage compliments sharing the performances with him. I am absolutely AMAZED with everything I see from Dimash and his collaborators. Instrumentalists, background singers, ALL are UTTER PERFECTION!
Such performances and stories easily bring me to tears, and I say that as a grown man. ;-) and a proud Dimash "Dear" for LIFE!!! 🥰🧘‍♂🙏
Also, ALL of the voice from the low to the high is Dimash! Those ladies are ONLY providing background. Dimash perform ALL of the lead.
    CORRECTION:
The kobyz is considered to be very ancient, and some say it may have originated even earlier than the 8th and 9th centuries.
According to a popular Kazakh legend, the kobyz was invented by Korkyt Ata, a folk singer and philosopher from the 9th century. The legend says that Korkyt Ata made the first kobyz from shirgai wood.

Yes. Dimash has many voices, and here he uses them to represent - to tell the story of - the plight of the ever increasing numbers of displaced peoples around the world. Men, women and children, young and old, forced out of their homes due to various wars or other crises. Fleeing, often with nothing, only the clothes on their back, and forced to start again, to make new lives as Strangers in Strange Lands. { That is, the lucky ones who can find another country to take them in.}. Dimash often has humanitarian and anti-war messages in his music.
    >
    # That instrument has a very special sound that reaches deep. Dimash insisted that it be part of the composition of the song as it adds a powerful and mysterious character. He was Right! EVERYONE sits up and immediately asks; "What is THAT!?!" It is the Kazakh KOBYZ, and is one of a family of similar instruments found across that region, very ancient instruments tHat are the ancestors of the more modern instruments we are more familiar with today, such as the violin or cello. It is carved from a single piece of local wood and has two strings of horse hair. In ancient times the sound of the Kobyz was believed to have the power to drive away evi..l spirits and heal the sick, and because of this power it was only to be played by Shamans or Medicine Men.
Once again, Dimash, through his music is trying to make the world a better place. He not only is a special talent, but is a special person. Keep enjoying and sharing Dimash! 🥰🤩

He doesn't have different voices, he uses different singing techniques and a range of octaves. Dimash is fully trained in many different techniques and this allows him to work in multiple genres unlike most singers who find a genre they are comfortable with and stay in it.
Dimash is constantly learning and evolving as an artist.
I would recommend his version of Ikanaide where you can watch him close up work through multiple vocal techniques.

Olzhas Qurmanbek plays the kobyz, magnificent performer!! Dimash had the great idea of including this ancient Kazakh instrument in the song composed by Igor Krutoy. (Another of his successes was including a sybyzgy in the cover of "Hello" by L Richie in "I am a Singer", China, 2018). In addition to singing like no one else, he is also a very good arranger.

Close your eyes and you think there ar 4-5 singers on the stage. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway, but it does happen sometimes😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers. His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe.
The thing with the flowers has something to to with the cultur in Russia. The audience listen quiet and carefully to the artist and in the end they shower him with flowers and gifts. That's the norm there. He then always donates the flowers to hospitals, retirement homes or similar institutions.
He is so awesome, isn’t he? Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it. I love these mythical sounds. You will immediately be transported into an oriental adventure film. The instrument used here is the Qobyz and it was a great idea by Dimash to use that here.
The Qobyz is a very old two stringed Kazakh folk instrument and it’s wide spread among Kazakhs. The man who often is playing the Qobyz in Dimash’s performance (also here in Stranger) is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. You often can hear this instrument when Dimash sings in his native tongue like Samaltau, Qairan Elim or Òmir Òter. He performed this song on the same show as Ave Maria, just not on the same day.
As a Kazakh he speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently. He sang Stranger for the first time at New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international competition for young artists, founded in 2002 by Igor Krutoy. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy, like so many other masterpieces, wrote this song specifically for Dimash and his incredible vocal range (in this song alone he sings 5 octaves F1-F6 I think). And the last note he held for 20 seconds. The way he switchs so affortlessly between the different registers and octaves in one song is so mesmerizing and unbelievable.
As already mentioned before, Stranger was written by the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. His and Dimash's collaboration created true masterpieces. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
Please react to Olimpico or also Ogni Pietra from his Arnau concert in 2019 next. In this song he sings in Italian. You can find it on Igor Krutoy‘s Channel.
Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills (like so many others). It was written for the 2nd European Games 2019 in Minsk, Belarus and also won an award for Best Song of the Year in Russia in this year. The text is therefore very motivating.
This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements.
I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭 (and apparently many cameramen think so too, because in many close-ups of his performances only his hands can be seen. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. That's really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. Wow, he looks so commanding😱.
In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. Without subtitles, if you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and motivating his army to fight a losing battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤. Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯

At the beginning in Stranger it sounds an old Turkic stringed instrument called Kobys. It is probably the oldest bowed stringed instrument in the world and it spread to became the prototype of all European string instruments as violin an chello. That and the use of the fa minor key in the composition gives the vibe of Middle East /oriental/ exotic sound.
Think he´s singing to migrants in general: "New ground far as I can see, new ground underneath my feet, Stranger in a stranger land, new chance to see who I am if I have the strength to begin again"
Reminds me also to the Old Testament; Exodus 2:22 Moses, “And she bore him a son, and he called his name Gershom [that is, A stranger there]; for he said, “I have been a stranger in a strange land.”

👉 Here is playing the best Kobys player in the world, Dimash’s friend Olzhas Qurmanbek.
This bowl-neck lute played with a bow is is an old Turkic stringed instrument and called Kobys, Qobyz or Kylkobyz in Kazakhstan. The Kyrgyz variant, for example, is called the kyl-kyyak.
The Kobys is the oldest string instrument in the world and according to a German scientist, it spread beyond the borders of the nomadic area of Central Asia and became the mother (prototype) of all European string instruments.
(Turkic means: The Turkic peoples are a collection of ethnic groups from Central, East, North and West Asia as well as parts of Europe and North Africa who speak Turkic languages. Difference between Turkic and Turkish - ruclips.net/video/PqxhtBecVeg/видео.html )
A legend about Kobyz says that this instrument was created by the great steppe narrator Korkyt-Ata, who lived in the 10th century and that the tool is charged with magical and even mystical properties and sounds like animal voices. In addition, the Kazakh people believed that the spirits of their ancestors spoke to them through this music.
The old outlook and piety towards their instruments and music was constantly preserved in traditional Kazakh society and ensured the highest spiritual level of musical art and a special respectful attitude towards musical instruments. Simple people, for example, did not dare to touch the shaman's Kobyz. It is said: The balance between the courses of life and death on earth can be maintained by playing the Kobyz.

    8/19/2021 KABUL AIRPORT
    8/20/2021 STRANGER🇦🇫 ✈️
Could have been the anthem of the people trying to flee Afghanistan 🇦🇫🛫
Love the stumble🕺🏻he takes into the new land and looks 👀 around
    Not very subtle
    choreography Dimash !😂
He then chooses to change and VOCALIZE the 2nd verse with the sounds of the “Voice’s of Afghanistan”🇦🇫🥺😲😮😯
    (Kabul, Men, Women & Children)?
    Last💨🎤🎶 over ⏱20 seconds
    Dimash & Igor 🎼🎹🎶
    Brilliant as ever! 💕
That week 8/20,24,26/2021 Dimash was JUDGING the New Wave competition in Sochi Russia. He sang 3 NEW ORIGINAL songs‼️
    “STRANGER” 🇬🇧

    “FLY AWAY “ 🇬🇧
    ruclips.net/video/4p2qOIt9hdM/видео.html
    “AVE MARIA” 🎶

Whether or not it was intentional to be in such synchronization with the crisis in Afghanistan is beyond me 🤔🇦🇫
Maybe it’s further proof he’s from another world 🪐 with ⏰ travel
    Matching the music too events‼️

Dimash has a range between 7 and 8 octaves. The lows and the highs are all his, no female singer.
