Thank you. I don’t like to through things out. Besides the new shark has a shorter cord and doesn’t clean as well. Bless you from someone who has 3 dogs 😊
@@DATT Oh my gosh, really? I totally pegged you as being from NFLD. I think it was when you said it was chowdered lol. It was fixable thanks! The spinner brush had melted, so it was a bit tougher to get it out, but it's working fine now. :)
Thank you! Super helpful for a not so easy brush replacement. Star key kit was absolutely necessary on my UV330 Shark rocket, which works great other than having worn out brushes. My vacuum guy gave me a hard time so feeling good I did this on my own!
Thank you for this! I have 2 shark Rockets and both have busted rollers... mine is hair infused with plastic on my blue one and my orange one is just not moving at all. I have the tools to do what you have done. Kind of hoping I can take one part from one and fix the other ..... we will see lol
I have the same problem with my Shark HV302 Rocket Pet Corded Stick Vacuum; however, I don't have the tools required to fix it. Should I take it to my local vacuum store? It was bought at amazon in 2021, but it seems Shark vacuums have a bad reputation when it's time to replace things or simply fix them. By the way, could you please list what tools you use to see if I can buy only the ones needed for this job? Anyhow, thank you for your informative video.
Oh my. What sucks is that these are the kinds of things that are typically cheaper to replace than repair if you can't do it yourself. That was the case with this one. My friend was just going to throw it out if I couldn't fix it on the cheap. I discuss the tools needed in the video. There are captions when I discuss them that tell you the model spec of the screwdriver you need. All I remember off the top of my head is that it uses security torx bits.
@@Jack_80 Well, the bits aren't particularly hard to get nor expensive these days. Assuming you're ordering the part off amazon already, might as well throw the bits or screwdrivers you need into the cart.
@@DATT i just ordered the deluxe pro on amazon and they sent me a pro plus, a cheaper model. i thought i was getting a deal but instead got one i could have gotten $30 cheaper from other sellers. weasels!!!
@@Whatbih2 Oh, the one on the non belt side, yeah that just popped right off. Probably cause that side of the roller was broken. I would likely use the same technique, yes.
I dont' know much about actually USING this vacuum as it was not mine. I was repairing it for someone else. You could loose spin if it got badly jammed and seized up much like this one.
The biggest problems with vacuum cleaners is people don't take care of them. You have to clean them out and dump the collectors and clean the filters. And it's a machine that you have to understand a little about it. Hell we all change the oil in our cars. Even cars have air filters. You can't just sit on your fist and lean back on your thumb.
Oh idk, I haven't got first hand experience with one, but the fast that I was able to find the part and replace it myself seems pretty good. I used to have a dyson, had the same issue. Hair getting stuck in the joint was going to wreak it, but I inspected it every so often and caught to problem before it got too bad.
Warning- buy a new head. This is the hardest job I have ever done and I have done a lot. This guy makes it easy but it ia not. I broke mine by tryinh to follow his instructions. Nothing can make that thing pop off. DO NOT DO IT!!!!
This is a terrible design. The brush should just be able to pop out and pop back in. Like every other vacuum I have ever owned. Guess I won’t be changing the brush after all.
Jumping up and down in joy that you made this video on the exact model that I have. Instructions are concise and rather fun to watch. Thank-you!
Your Welcome !

You're Welcome ! With that much dog hair, I'd inspect the roller frequently.
Thank you, I wouldn't be able to do it without your thorough instructions and demo! You are a gem.
Nice!, You're welcome!
So helpful! Same model as mine, which decided to spontaneously combust. Love the accent, makes me miss the east coast!
Oh wow, was it fixable ? Hah, I'm not even on the east.

Your vacuum guy gave you a hard time ? Was there a reason ?
You lost me at 5:41 😭 🤣 Seriously, thanks for putting this video together though 😁

Lifesaver! I got up to "screw a lever into the bearing" on my own but I'd own a pile of wreckage without you
Ahh, you found yourself trying to figure out how to get that part out ?
You sir are a gentleman and a scholar! Thank you!

Great job. Appreciate the effort you put into cleaning as you go.😊
Thanks! Pretty standard procedure to me.
Thank you so much for this video. My vacuum definitely needs a clean out. So I’ll be doing this today! Thank you!❤️

Just wanted to replace my beater brush. Wow, I'll have go to Menards to get those T15H and T10H tools if my boss doesn't have one's he can loan me
Yeah, they throw you a curve ball with the security screws, but it's an otherwise simple job.
Terrific video. Thanks.
No thank you, and your welcome.
Thanks for the assist!

How do you get the white piece on the opposite end off? I noticed yours was already off.
Is it not the part I explained at 5:21 ?

I have a shark vacuum and the spin brush dont spin 😔😔
Are you pushing the switch twice? The first is for hard woods so it doesn’t spin. Gotta click it twice.

Yeah, I almost ruined my old Dyson I had because I didn't realize you needed to inspect and clean the sweepers for the very reason seen in this video.
This is why bagged is better
Not only are we never going to buy another shark again but we're going to return the one we just bought
Well, fair enough.
Holy shit! I’ll never buy Shark again. This is ridiculous!

Thanks. My point is that they go out of their way so I can’t replace the roller brush. So I will spend my dollars elsewhere. Great video by the way.
@@dbaxxxxx Oh cause the screws ? Ah, idk, those are common these days.
Different size torx screws. Then having to pry it off after the screws are removed.
@@dbaxxxxx Ah idk, I tinker with a lot of stuff, it's all par for the course to me. The pry bit isn't bad, it means the part had a good fit.
You do not have to remove the wheels.
Yeah I figured that out later.
I have another vid of me working on this where I did not.
Hot tip: you do not need to remove the 2 wheels to perform this repair.
Yeah I figured that out in the next video I made about it. The vacuum came back into the shop, this time with a bad lower hose.
I'll never buy another Shark product. NO special screwdrivers should be required.
Yeah, that does seem to be some peoples take away on this.

This is a terrible design. The brush should just be able to pop out and pop back in. Like every other vacuum I have ever owned. Guess I won’t be changing the brush after all.
Yeah eh, I guess many vacuums do that that feature now. I suppose they'd "have to charge more" if it had that feature.
