What's negative about the Peter principle? It seems like its just getting people to do the most complex tasks they can handle, meaning you aren't losing good workers to menial tasks. Or am I missing something?
My understanding is that once they get to a position that they aren't able to handle, there is a stigma against getting demoted back to a position that they were good at, and so these talented people just stay in positions that they're bad at. While they may have been an amazing manager, they weren't really ready for their new position as VP, but they stay a VP even though they are incompetent at that because they don't get demoted back down.
is it possible to know where the information is from I would like to use it in an essay I am writing but need to refrence it
Me too, did you ever find out?
Glad I’m learning about this and not something relevant to medicine *rolls eyes*
Doctors frequently work either in or with organizations. This is relevant to everything and everybody.
Thanks
