Great vid. At the end of last season I did a Sea Foam treatment on my 96 Merc Force 75 and it helped TREMENDOUSLY. It starts better and idles better, for sure. Going to do another one at the end of this season. I also add Sea Foam to each tank of gas I run. Thanks!
Sorry to be offtopic but does someone know a trick to log back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot my password. I appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Atticus Colten i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
#seafoam is the best! I run it throughout the year quite often so I dont have issues and dont have to replace injectors etc. It keeps my engine running clean and strong all year long.
I just filled my yamaha 90hp 2 stroke with 30 gallons. Im looking for an additive to start using just as preventive maintenance. Would using just one can do anything at all?
@SeaFoamOfficial thank you for the quick reply. I'll buy 2 cans, and dump one in today and another can when I'm at like 5 gallons or so. can I use this everytime I fill as well? Does it help with moisture by any chance?
Question: The email about this says for outboard motors. I have a Mercury MerCruiser I/O. Can this be used in this type of engine as well or is there another product I should use? Thanks!
Nothing to do. Should be fine. Once you start using the boat again wait till you're down to less than a gallon to add a can or two, then run it a bit before adding fuel. Hope this helps!
I live in the south and probably have another month or so before I put my boat up. I've been using Sea Foam Marine Pro all year and my 2003, carbureted Tohatsu 40 hp (2 stroke) is running like a top. Your saying that I can use it to keep my fuel stabilized over our winter, Dec thru mid Feb?
Hey Steve - yes, it'll stabilize fuel up to 2 years. Glad the boat is running great! For winter storage: if you're confident you've got at least 1+oz of Marine Pro per gallon of fuel in your tank currently, that will work great to stabilize through the winter. Nothing else to do. If you don't have Marine Pro in there at the moment, add a can to a low tank of fuel and run it. You want to avoid having untreated fuel anywhere in the system, so just make sure it's been run long enough to get the Marine Pro through the whole thing. Hope that helps!
@@SeaFoamOfficial Thanks for the fast reply. I've been keeping Marine Pro in it all year. A double shot early this spring, then a maintenance dose, equivalent to the amount of added fuel, at each fill up. Thanks again for the reply and great product!
No not at all if it's a 2 stroke it's supposed to burn oil through the fuel if it's a 4 stroke, it's not supposed to smoke at at but maybe sometimes when you first start it in the spring but no more then that but if you want to stop oil consumption on a 4 stroke is to use a thicker oil like if your supposed to run 10w 30 maybe run 15w 30 or if you run 5w 30 then try 10w 30
Thx for the question. Not the same thing at all. Sea Foam is great at liquefying suspended fuel gums and varnish residues that cause rough-running engines.
How much of this is enough to put in a tank, can you over do it??? Didn't read the instructions last time and added the whole can, but I see you adding 2 cans!?!?
Fuel up to the mid 1970s fuel sitting for YEARS and properly stored never turned yellow\orange. You see videos of Barn Finds where vehicles sitting for several decades will (except battery charging) start right right up. SO NOW government requires fuel system destructive properties be added to gasoline. Problem here is the Gov has taken charge and mandated this destructive fuel and if your system is damaged, they're not responsible. like-DUAH???!!!
Hi Andy. Virtually every marine OEM recommends their treatment products...That's true. What they never claim is that you can't use another product... That would be illegal. [See Magnuson-Moss Act.] Another thing is, Evinrude doesn't offer fuel treatments.
Ok... lets give this a shot. Can you please tell me what is different about marine version vs regular seafoam??? I want to know, what INGREDIENT or INGREDIENT(S) are in the marine version, that are not in the regular version???? Please don't reply with the standard textbook company sentence of "great for marine engines, cleans injectors, reduces corrosion, lubricates, stabilizes fuel, etc... etc..." That tells me nothing. Your entire video, literally every sentence you said, could have been made holding up a bottle of original seafoam, right???Regular Seafoam makes the same claims does it not? So what makes this product DIFFERENT? PLEASE... just say what is chemically different/added to the marine version from an ingredient standpoint???? Or, is there no difference other than writing on the can "marine forumulated"?

Love it! Thanks for sharing, Ron - keep after it!

@Atticus Colten it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thanks so much, you really help me out !
I seafoam everything!! Truck, boat, tractor, zero turn, chainsaws.
I need to do this.
Thank you very much I as well live in Minnesota thank you
Minnesota!! Me too

No smoke coming from that engine? Mine smokes like crazy with seafoam in it.

Yes, but add a full can when the tank is low to create a higher cleaning concentration.

Thank you going try this hope it works,
Let us know if we can help! Feel free to ask questions...
Which one would be best to use in a bush hog ???
I have a 2010 2 stroke yamaha 25hp. What should use as a mixture to clean the carb out?
Add a couple cans to a very low tank of fuel, run it ... Don't add fuel until after the engine sits a bit. Overnight, at least.
Question: The email about this says for outboard motors. I have a Mercury MerCruiser I/O. Can this be used in this type of engine as well or is there another product I should use? Thanks!
Email? For any gas marine engine, so 2-stroke, 4-stroke, inboard, outboard.
Can the samething be done with you car or truck.?
Great question. Yes, same concept for any gas or diesel engine!
May be worth mentioning that this engine mixes oil automatically. Premixed may take a bit different process to avoid damage.
I have a 98 Evinrude 115, it's a 50:1 mixture in tank, so what would be the different process you speak of?
Hi Terry. The outboard in the video is a 4-stroke. Either way, there is no concern when adding Sea Foam or Marine PRO to 2-stroke fuel.
Thank you. Will it be safe to use it on Suzuki 4-stroke engine?
Yes, will work great!
Will it help clean injectors also
Yes, works to clean fuel injectors!
Like it
Is there any difference between regular seafoam vs the marine pro???
Yes, they have similar formulations but Marine PRO will work better in a marine engine.
Great video. Question, my boat has been sitting for about 3 months with 5 gallons of gas in a 6 gallon tank. What should I do??
Nothing to do. Should be fine. Once you start using the boat again wait till you're down to less than a gallon to add a can or two, then run it a bit before adding fuel. Hope this helps!

What is the difference in the Marine Pro and standard Sea Foam?
Both are similar. Marine PRO is formulated in favor of upper engine lubricity and corrosion protection.
do i need seafoam or searfoam marine pro???
Either. For a boat engine specifically, Marine PRO has an edge.
Can this stuff(SeaFoam)(Stop or slow down) oil burning?
No not at all if it's a 2 stroke it's supposed to burn oil through the fuel if it's a 4 stroke, it's not supposed to smoke at at but maybe sometimes when you first start it in the spring but no more then that but if you want to stop oil consumption on a 4 stroke is to use a thicker oil like if your supposed to run 10w 30 maybe run 15w 30 or if you run 5w 30 then try 10w 30
Is Marine Pro comparable to, or a replacement for Yamaha’s Yamalube Ring Free?
Thx for the question. Not the same thing at all. Sea Foam is great at liquefying suspended fuel gums and varnish residues that cause rough-running engines.
Also a lubricant!
@@SeaFoamOfficial Thank you. Is it OK to use them in conjunction with one another? Yamaha recommends the ring free for the 200 HPDI we run.
@@SD-unlimited Yes, OK to do!
Been looking around. So is seafoam a substitute sulution instead on buying premix oil or you run both at the same time?
It is not a substitute. If you have a 2-stroke engine that requires pre-mixed oil, you ALWAYS need to add oil to the fuel. Hope this helps!
How much of this is enough to put in a tank, can you over do it??? Didn't read the instructions last time and added the whole can, but I see you adding 2 cans!?!?
You cannot add too much to fuel.
I mix my gas and oil then whatever is left at the end of the season goes for the chainsaws.

Evinrude owners beware of this. Evinrude says the ONLY engine "additive" to be used on an E-tec is their 2+4 Fuel Conditioner.

1-4 gallons on a 250hp will not run for 20-30 minutes if you run it at high rpm
Hi Gary: Can you rephrase your comment or question?
