i'd welcome just about any collab since that would indicate Epic Seven still being popular enough, and well known enough, with other game developers, to be considered a partner for one such event. if there's none for september, i hope they at least redo midnight lilias arena, or another fun gamemode since we're clearly in need of something fun to carry us until the last quarter of the year.
Roy Mustang, my one totga for collab, I always go all in in every collab units, sadly, I didn't get everyone but Roy's banner has my most heartache, I was 10 pulls away (miscalculated the days). Completed Aespa, completed Slime, completed ReZero, completed Overlord and wasn't interested in GG aside from Baiken. Soo.. remembering it now, my wounds are open up once again for Roy! XD
this is why I keep telling other players usually newbies/casuals to never skip collab heroes. because smilegate dont own collab ip and there is a high chance of them not returning ever again. Any original limited characters of e7 like landy,SSB is guaranteed to rerun since epic seven owns the right to them and can easily rerun them anytime that means some players can skip them for someone they really need, like example byblis and blidica can be skipped since they wont help progress your account towards the endgame.

kill la kill would be an amazing collab for e7 in grand summoners they have a rerun right now so yeah if e7 collabed with kill la kill i woulde be in 100% in and hyped. but i do hope we get the side story of young senya and alencia that they showed in the"Would you dance with me? | Update Preview video" hopefully with a young senya unit as well that also pretty hyped if they dident cancel it of course. maybe they saved it for anniversary:)

Also, in summoners war there have been several collabs that excluded the china server (not completely sure why, I believe licencing issues). The china server simply revieved the non-collab versions of the units right away.
I was thinking this as well, they change the art and name of the character but keep the skills the same and they put it in a special currency shop which would honestly be perfect just copied and pasted in E7

I wish I would’ve got Edward when he came out but when I found out it was too late coming back to epic7 I watched fullmetal alchemist brotherhood during a haaaaaaard time in my life and he kept me going so that’s why I’ve been adamantly texting the developers to please re-release the collaboration the show means soooo much to me I’ve rewatched it about a total of 85 times no anime has come close to my heart as much as full metal bleach came after but the manga were way ahead I preferred the action in the anime instead of reading just me but it sucks it really sucks I would love to get Edward I’ve even asked people that have him on their account if they’d be willing to part with it idc how much I would have to grind on the account either Smdh but at least thank you for giving me insight on how the collabs work wulf

Then S2 is return by death in some capacity. Maybe similar to an Arby s2 but he gives team evasion buff to symbolize learning his enemies patterns. God he would be broken lmao
100% agree, the problem is that SW has very simple and bad looking units with really bad and simple animations so they can easily make these replacement units, e7 they would have to do an entirely new high quality sprite with an animation etc...

I’d love to see Sword Art Online. They have no reason to collab with E7 given their own successful mobile games. But there’s a lot of great characters that would make for stellar units and fit the E7 world well.
I certainly don't think we can lean on precedent. They clearly have to constantly adjust and adapt to their current circumstances... Which are always changing year to year. Be it revenues, staffing changes, and whatever crazy community drama is going on. Considering everything is pretty fluid you can really predict or project super accurately outside of the obvious stuff we know is coming?
This is the inherent issue with a pvp game that has collab units that may never come back. They could indeed just create a new unit that is basically the same kit, but just visually different, but even then there are some issues with that, that makes Smilegate not want to go for it. Either way, since we have no choice in the matter, this is why you should always pull for at least one copy of each collab unit if possible, and one of the artifacts each as well. And in regards to the China server issue ... we already know what SG's choice is when it comes to sucking up to China's playerbase with the recent fiasco regarding Taiwan. They'll always suck up to China due to the income possibility there is just way greater than global, Korea, and Japan combined.
I'd still want Dragon Maid or Shield Hero as a collab...Though honestly a collab I'd want the most would be Uma Musume....which actually, Uma Musume is releasing a party game on steam in a few days and Global is finally getting their gacha game soon as well...so it's not impossible but I don't think Uma Musume collabs with anything outside of Cygames.
when talking about making new units, they shouldnt take and old 3star or and give them a ml or retrain 5 star that mimics collab characters. It would be perfect to take one of the fist characters and make them like karina, or just make a unit in zero defects universe thats like her.

The issue with having an identical hero as a collab hero is that it makes the collab hero no longer interesting. It completely takes away the uniqueness of it being a collab hero. Not a fan of that idea, I genuinely like how it is already. My solution would be once a year or so epic seven gives out 1 free custom selection that includes collab heros and their artifacts. Similarly to how there is the custom ML 5 head hunt event but with collab heros. Imprints can always be gotten via potions and transmits. (Most likely said the wrong item name)
