Using an item at the start to potentially breakaway at the beginning is such a smart idea. But as you mentioned, one mistake can definitely snowball. Unfortunately experienced that in the final 6. Despite the stress, I agree that this game mode can be fun every once in a while! GG's!
35:29 Troy picks up a mega while in a bullet, but hitting a second bullet right afterwards cancels the mega. Such a random and unique interaction. I doubt the people programming this ever expected this to come up lol.

I really like how chill the gradual elimination gps are. Every race just feels stressful from a viewer standpoint, I can only imagine as a racer

You guys should really do like a random/mashup GP or KO, like for instance 200cc no item on the first, 150cc item rain the second, 99999cc the third, then karts only, etc.

It's a shame retros are gradually getting removed from CTGP, but we have Retro Rewind if we want to experience the best the main series has to offer, and it opens the door for crazy new custom tracks from new creators!
