We have our four Playoff teams, which also means that we have the teams that didn't make the cut. So what happened, what went wrong, and what goes on next. In this episode, we take a look at four teams who didn't go to the knockouts - the Chennai Super Kings, the Gujarat Titans, the Delhi Capitals and the Lucknow Super Giants.

Just a question on the analytics: Your overall score is a mean of the score on all six dimensions - hence the actual score for most teams is not very different. Would be good to see the correlation between the scores in each phase vs the actual win/loss impact to determine the weights. For example this IPL may show that matches were won and lost in PP batting - so that dimension should get most weight (for this season at least).

Just a question how do you make such team maps?
I have been thinking about it for a very long time

He probably gives score according to how many runs a particular team make in each phase also taking account how many wickets they lost and how many runs they concede in each phase taking account with how many wickets they took
He avg out all teams performance in those regards and make it par (score 1) then compare this to each individual teams and gave them score

Can you do the analysis on the teams that qualified too.. I'm fan of RR and their current situation is not ideal.. analysis of these team's whole season may put things in perspective than the recency bias we're all suffering from..

He only does these analysis after a team is out of the competition, so you won't see the analysis of Rajasthan until it's too late.
