This song released when I was a teenager, and thanks to my angsty-self at the time, this song helped me to see Jesus in the way that I needed Him. I was desperate and I needed Him. Much appreciation for this song! Thanks so much for covering this song!

Red uses strings the best out of any rock band I've heard. Pieces, Already Over and Never Be The Same are some of my favs.

I agree with Red using the strings better. Skillet did good with their song Comatose, but Red blows them out of the water with using the strings every time and it doesn't matter if Red goes heavy or soft, they know how to make it work in their favor.

Feed the Machine by Red is a must if you like rock/metal. And the official video is a straight up 7 minute short film.

Red, I'll never be the same. My mom said no way this is Christian when we saw them. I bought a cd and let her read the lyrics. Different lures for different fish 🐟

Hey brother, just found your channel and im enjoying your reactions. GREAT WORK! I saw that you've reacted to a couple Flyleaf songs already but definitely check out their song "Cassie". Its one of their lesser known tracks but their best song IMO. Also, if you're looking for more awesome christian rock. Check out Pillar, Falling up, Kutless and 12 Stones. I know they're pretty main stream but P.O.D. have great songs too.

This is _the_ song that put them on the map. For the longest time "Breathe Into Me" was their closer recently supplanted by fan favorite "A.I."
Yeah, I've been agitating for Red for months now. There's so many good, interesting songs to react to. "Cauterize" is up there as one of the more musically interesting tracks they've released . "Sever" is a straight forward rocker. Of course, "If I Break" is my favorite. Along those lines "The Evening Hate (Alternative Version)" is also powerful in its stillness as the original is in its raw power.
    Looking forward to many more.

@@KoachOfGaal True. "As You Go (Recalibrated)", "Of These Chains", "Pieces", along with the two I mentioned certainly make Red that much more a complete band.

I heard Breathe Into Me as a teen, but it was too heavy for me back then. Fast forward to probably 19, but I could have been 20 when I kept seeing Red's song Death of Me on a 30 minute Christian hard rock music show. That was the only song I ever liked on there, since everything else was totally screaming 100% and gave me a headache. Red's song Death of Me got me into them and was the gateway into the harder Christian rock, but nothing with screaming the whole song, but balanced with actual singing. I recommend Death of Me next. It's another fan favorite and has a special place in my heart.

U should check out breaking Benjamin's very christian like songs. Its never overt, but its clear he's either a Christian or searching. Plus one of his bandmates is red's band member too. They're my all time favorite band as red is my favorite Christian band. Very similar in style. Even before bb changed out members.

    I really like Red.
But there is something just a little too "produced" ( i think that's the term) about them or maybe just the instrumental side. Sometimes the vocal emotion and the instruments don't really mesh.
    But, that's just a quibble.
For me, a more relatable emotional expression is something like Me Against Me by Project 86.

    • @swilkins2524
      @swilkins2524 3 года назад

Yes...highly produced. But I feel nothing wrong with that.
With their fourth album, the lead singer says with vocal training he finally reached his potential as a singer.
When their first album came out I was hooked. Their music to me was the hybrid of screamo/emo.
Some songs are ballads, some are hard.
On my Spotify, have their complete catalog. Listen to it almost every day!👍

@@swilkins2524 i really like Red. Like i said: just a quibble.
My Will Be a Dead Man is terrific. But, i was thinking of a song where the instruments and the voice were both rawly emotional.
