- How much money (profit) do I make selling firewood bundles. In this video I go over my costs to produce firewood bundles that I sell primarily to OA campground.
If the bills are paid and food is on the table then you are doing it good.
I know im randomly asking but does any of you know of a way to get back into an Instagram account??
I somehow forgot my account password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me
Dang you aren’t making shit for the amount of labor you’re doing. At $3 a bundle that’s way too cheap.
I made this video in 2018. I’ve raised prices since then and they’re going up again next year
@@JoesFirewoodVideos what r u going up to. I generally see them 5-8 a bundle around me. Bundles r 5 maybe 6 pieces
How do you sell them now
@@JoesFirewoodVideoswell that’s disgusting lol
WOW....that's a lot you did 4 years ago.
$200 bundles and your only grossing $600 so your bundles sale for $3 dollars a piece. I was in Stater Brothers today buying bundles of firewood for $6 a piece. you should really consider raising your prices or double your prices for that matter. maybe come up with your own Firestarter put it in a sandwich bag and staple it to the side of every bundle and change your name to Joe's fire and Flint service. oh and also you should look into shrink wrap. I think it would hold the bundles together better and it would be faster than cutting all those strings and tying all those knots. thanks for the video sir
Giant, $8 for a tiny bundle!!! Hiaghhahagagagahighway robbery
Forget bundles stack them on pallets I get $100 a pallet which is a little under a third of a chord works out to about $60 an hour
You're selling too cheap
This was made 3+ years ago, I have increased my prices since then.
So in Joe's pro experience, Since I am a new wood seller would you say bundles aren't a full time way to make good money but in the summer since it is slower for selling cords. Is having some suppliers like campgrounds a necessity to have to keep a income year round?
I’ve raised my price since this video was made. It’s good steady summer business for me. I actually sell more wood in the summer than the winter
@@JoesFirewoodVideos Thanks Joe that's awesome news. Store wants to sell them at $5 a piece and i am offering to sell to them at 2.50 each so we both make profit. Any thoughts?
Very fair deal. Definetly not gttin' rich. Keep up your vids. I do enjoy them. Is rebel ever gonna cut that treedown on a vid. Its all in the filing on chains. Keep it up boss .
It takes a few hours, but doing nothing won't get you cash. I guess the bulk sales gives you more money.
That is true.
Do you know anyone in the Tuscola county area that cuts fire wood from the tops after. Doing a timber sale its red oak/ maple I can't handle that much fire wood.
I’m in SW Michigan and only know a few people around here
Good Job budd keep up the great work!
Giant $8 for a tiny bundle, lol highway robbery
$30 for 3 hours!?????
Hey what websites do you sell your firewood at sir thanx
My fb page: Joe's Premium Firewood

I love Gull lake and have boated and water skied on this lake! Miss this lake!
Yeah I grew up it. Thankful that my friend uses her boat and I still can get out there in the summer.
Am I the only one wondering why Gary only gets $20?
Not bad for hour and half of work. He's $10/hr tops guy.
Not bad for an hour and a half? This isn't 1985 anymore love ya tho bud
I remember watching this don’t seem like 3 years.
Time flies Will
Hey joe were is ash at she dose nice work
Get a faster splitter.
👍👍👍
Rich yet? If no, keep me.
Not yet.
Your margins are to low and your labor costs are to high. Try and find ways to reduce those two and you actually make a profit. Right now your lucky to break even, so your working for less than minimum wedge.
You need to automate. Bigger splitter and conveyor would by my advise.
OMG, not another one.
@@JoesFirewoodVideos yep, can't understand why you would put your financial info on the internet. You do realize that people who work for the IRS could watch your video & decided it was time to audit you if your previous tax returns don't match up with what you're putting out there for everyone to see.
@@JoesFirewoodVideos just trying to pass along some advice. Don't want to see anyone get screwed up with them.
Joe, your willingness to work at a lower profit should translate to higher volume sold, even if you went up on price by 25 or 50 cent a bundle, you are still lots cheaper than most of the bundle fire wood out there,, and you are using real log split wood, not a by product of the furniture mfg, or housing mfg, just saw some bundled wood for sale, it was ALL 2x2's ,2x4's , not one split round in the whole bundle, it was still 6 bucks for it.
Hey Joe, don’t think your getting enough $ out of that.
There are other indirect expenses that should go into it, like insurance, truck repairs & maint., cost of saw, splitter and their repair & maint., and things like that. It all adds up and comes out of your pocket.
CaptainJoe9 , you could try tacking on a delivery fee ($40-50). And see if they can take a double order (134 bundles) . Hook up a small trailer to your truck to haul the additional bundles.
Who is he kidding? I'm wondering what he charges 'per bundle" Around here buying a bundle is $5 or $6 that for .75 cu ft. Something just doesn't seem "Kosher" but can't figure out what it is.
@@Chuck88keys He said he has 200 bundles stacked and he's selling it for $600. It makes $3 per bundle.
That’s cheap I sell mine for 5 bucks at a stand
Way to fast with camera
i have firewood the wood i sell is doring boom firewood i look to sell the firewood
Waste of time
I've raised price since then.
so why on earth are you doing it then? You are invading nature for 14 bucks an hour if your lucky.
Beats me why you bother. Your not even earning much on this video. So go do something more productive. Or stop moaning
Sometimes I make $50 per hour
