I found a program to do it a while back. It does a certain amount at a time unless you pay for it. Completely forgot the name now.
But I never found a macro to do it.

Which version of Excel are you using? I don't have a problem in Excel 2013 or 2016.

You say "Excel file" but this saves only the current worksheet!!! If there were more worksheets they will be not saved!
