The Martian ComicHunter I did a how to video a couple of years ago that will show you all the materials I used. It’s fairly easy and straightforward in my opinion.
Tim Canadian Comic Hunter the accrual of all the items took the longest by far. Setting up the room took a few hours lol. Getting the display cabinets put together and lit took a bit. The comic walls weren’t as complicated as you’d think. Measure twice and drill once lol. I’d say it took me a weekend or so to set it all up.

@@ClassicCarsComics I bought a bunch when they were closing down the web site for just $50 each. I must have bought 15 of them. Each year I sell one to buy a new Arcade1up machine. I think I still have four cowls left. I think they are reaching almost $600 a mask now.
So I collect Golden and Silver Age comics when I can find (and afford)them, but I've heard that even artificial lighting can be bad for display books. Have you noticed any issues with fading and the like, or am I just being paranoid?
That’s a great question that I’m not sure I have an answer for other than what I can see. I’ve heard that there’s UV sheets or something you can protect your graded comics with and Mylar blocks out a ton of harmful rays. My room is pitch black 98% of the time. I pretty much play games or watch shows in the dark. The only time my room has the lights on is to enter/exit or clean.
+Classic Cars & Comics...You're right about graded books, the slabs are supposed to have UV protection. I think most fading is probably caused by direct sunlight over time(months and years). Probably just collector's paranoia on my part :) Thanks for the reply, you have a great collection.
@@henrybemis3439 NO! No slab to date, not from CGC, CBCS, or PGX, protects against UV rays. You need UV protection provided by the mylar, add-on sheets, etc., if you expect significant exposure to UV source.
