Get familiar with how whatever animal you're playing as turns and maneuvers and learn how to manage stamina on that creature. Other than that it's just learning the specifics for whatever dino/ptero you're on. Also, if you must go AFK and you're on something larger, go to a cave or just log. Bushes don't really hide you for various reasons. Also learn the environment and how you can use it to evade/defend yourself, like a tall dino standing in water to fend off a pack of smaller attackers. Never be afraid to nope out of a fight if running is an option. Playing as small and fast dinos/flyers is great for exploring and observing other players. The best place to grow is the north part of the map like Savanna, Rockfall and Rainbow Hills. Easy quests and somewhat less likely to run into aggro players. Also plenty of carcasses for carnivores. Check shorelines for washed up sharks. I know of at least 5. Of course, don't run if you can't see what's in front of you. If you're on the edge of a cliff, use precise movement to back away.
The good thing about pot is that most of the time you don’t have to start back at square one after you die, unlike in the isle. You can play the same dinosaur at a few bars of growth back. Because of that, I recommend getting into fights anytime you want to.
Honestly if you ever have a ability that gives you turn radius you need it no matter what, it helps you with dodging, tail riding, and fighting in general, like spino.. get traction you mighta been able to kill the black and red spino if you had traction. EDIT: unless its like a tail ability and it's only 15 % turn get tail attack
Also don’t rely on bushes for cover, even when you’re not a big thing like Spino. Depending on the other players foliage settings, bushes can be in entirely different places than they are on your screen. Best places to hide to go afk are w/ groups or in caves.
The best thing you can do in PoT is find a good server with rules you like, so that things like that mixpacking team of 4 ganging up on you doesn’t happen again. Granted, unless you wanna mix pack with people, which is pretty fun bc you can befriend anyone you meet that way
Or you can just learn how to survive properly. Having good situational awareness is key, also learning how to read the room. These two things help a lot.
Tips: Use precise movement, its the most powerful thing in this game. If you know how to turn and bait out long cooldown attacks and bite them at a weak point, you rule the game. You just need to learn, what each dinosaur can do and what its weak points are. For example spinos have a incredibly slow precise movement, but theyre very well armed from all sides. The goal when attacking a spino is, to get on it from behind, when youve baited the tail attack and made sure hhe cant use the stomp, because he isnt standing still or doesnt have stam or its on cooldown. The combat in this game is pretty overwhelming and the first step to learn it, is to try out different dinos, that way youll learn about them the best and have an advantage when fighting them.
I used to play the Iowa a lot and evreama combat is very overwhelming. I think Palatine has the second easiest combat other than beast of Bermuda, The are you in my opinion has the most complicated combat. Probably because it’s so fast. To me at least be super moon has the perfect speed and simplicity to its combat. Well path of titans has way more long drawn out combat.
Best thing to do in pot is to treat it as you would the isle in terms of players. Avoid them like the plague and assume everyone is in a murderous group
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned but on a lot of community servers you can change your abilities just by sleeping. No need for a home cave in most of them other than for resting and turning in trophies.
okay from somebody whos played path of titans for almost a year now: 1: never trust randoms 2: always buy your abilities before you buy a skin, better to fight and live then to die and look pretty 3: branches can be found next to dead or bare branch trees when in an arid area 4: try to avoid running when you dont have a ton of stam especially when there are other dinos in the area 5: if you can back yourself up against a rock or a cliff (not a cliffs edge. dont do that) whenever youre in PVP when your a big dino its easier to face tank certain dinos 6: know your limits dont start a fight if you cant finish it. 7: have fun!

I do t have a pc I have a Xbox and mobile tablet I both have path of titans on them but they SUCK so if you have a pc and want to play this game I recommend you just buy the game on your pc
Unfortunately, people in POTplay like it's a roleplay or a Scalie character creator hangout. The second you attempt to play the game as it is intended you're put essentially on a bounty by a group that has no business being together. It's a big reason I'll never get into it as I've seen just how lame the players can be from friends and RUclipsrs I've watched. Also, be cautious of community servers as they are plagued with petty admins who abuse their powers, broken unbalanced modded creatures, and rules that'll make you pull your hair.
@@TylerKolaits one of the best you could pick. I also recommend the new server from another content creator pesky, named sastrei island, because that one is a NA server and you might get a better connection there.
@@SebastianTuscanojust cuz the isle has near perfect graphics doesnt mean pot has bad graphics tf 💀 1 of the biggest issues on the isle is the graphics cuz most of the community cant even play the game with the graphics
The graphics for both are fine, and look good if you have a high end device. Path of titans looks horrible on mobile and switch by comparison, but on pc especially with the new unreal engine update it looks great. The isle however may look nice but let's remember just how long it took to get it running decently, and the min device specs are that much higher for the isle. It's a matter of opinion but I also prefer the animations and textures of PoT, but to each their own.
The isle: unreal engine (the thing that makes games look good) 5 Path of Titans: unreal engine 5.3. Just because RUclips suppresses a lot of videos doesn’t mean it’s bad looking. About “you pick up sticks to grow” it’s better than waiting for 2 hours to be adult, just to die 3 carnos in 5 seconds. Maybe play the game before judging.

Do you like realism servers
Bro if you want someone to play this game with hit me up
Watching you drain your stam every 5 min is hard to watch 50 stam = 0 stam
Play the isle legacy
He was playing on Veloccis Realm, I personally quite like that server. It has good admins. He managed to pick a good server
Yeah in like the 2 videos of this game I’ve watched they say that’s a good one so I joined it and so far it’s not bad
@@TylerKolaits one of the best you could pick. I also recommend the new server from another content creator pesky, named sastrei island, because that one is a NA server and you might get a better connection there.
Sounds like you just perfectly described the Isle.
That’s literally just the isle
pot is like the isle but bad graphics and you pick up sticks to grow
Pot has great graphics
@@SD_VREAL not compared to the isle
This game looks shit compared to
The isle
Just because a game looks "less realistic" doesn't make it shit lol. Stylization is a thing
I agree I think it looks great for what the game is supposed to be
the isle is better
💀
At least we don't have Dondi to deal with :)
@@derpy_j keep crying
@@dorian7558 What a mature response.
@@derpy_j what a salty kid come to responde a inmature response. Get out of here boy i don't care any of your opinion, and if you don't like my coment just dislike it. Simple i don't have time to coments like this.
I’m a full blown spino on official server and so is my friend! (I’m fairly new) but my codes 889/701/767
That goes for anyone!
the isle is better
