I like that you told us it can take an hour or so to level it.
@@tsveno72 yeah it does take some time. In my year 3 video. It was quicker, so I’m thinking it gets quicker each year.
You did exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for this video
Awesome! You got it! Glad it could help.
Thank you for sharing this video. I'm currently in the process of year 2 ground prepping for our 15' pool as well. I did ok last year, but any time I thought "it's not perfect, but it will do for now" the pool quickly showed me otherwise. Now after removing several pesky old tree roots, I'm ready to re-level again. It's reassuring to see other's using the same methods and getting nice results. Thanks again!
Oh yes! It’s a learning experience for sure. I plan on making ours for this year soon as well. Thank you.
Glad the little people got to help and didn’t riot!
I know. Thank goodness! Haha
For our 18 foot pool, we built a 20 X 20 Frame, using 6 X 6 boards, and made sure the entire frame was level. Because the yard was going downhill a little, the frame required more lumber on one end to make it level. Then just filled up the frame with sand. Then we built about a 22 foot board that we used to level the sand, going across the frame. We used a tamper to make the sand more compact, and just kept going over the frame with the 22 foot board until it was just right. The pool was perfectly level and the frame, filled with sand, was used every year.
That’s a great idea. I might need to try that next time. Thank you.
I'm attempting a 24×12 rectangle pool. Ground isn't to bad but needs leveled I wonder if this would work for me?
@@vizionsablurr4134 I think it would.
Good tips and agreed, prep work is key! I believe in taking the time and doing the job right. Lol the kiddos were staring you down taking their sand, but solid negation skills getting a pool out of it. 👍
Haha. Thanks! Yeah they weren’t too happy. But the ended up enjoying the trade.
Good idea to try to divert the rainwater runoff from your hill! Looks great!
Thanks. I hope it works!
Very helpful
Awesome. Glad it helped!
Great ideas! Thx
You got it! Thanks for watching!
Looks good! Let us know if the extra garden edge works to keep the water away!
Will do. It’s worked pretty good so far.
How about compacting that sand to ensure stability.. I don't know much about pool prep so I'm hust guessing .
Yes, that’s a great idea. Because this is year 2 this area is compacted pretty well. But compacting the sand is a good idea.
What do you think all the weight from the water in the pool is doing?
Does the rain deterrent work? Pool looks good 😊
Thanks! And yes it’s worked so far. But we will see as the summer goes on. Thanks for watching!
