IMO the price probably going to get cut way down because of how close the price of this is compared to the g14. They’re basically the same laptop, the TUF A14 just doesn’t have the OLED display or the all metal chassis.
I get nearly the exact same TimeSpy scores on my Legion Slim 7 (7840HS-32gb-4060). I was expecting this to be a bit higher given the new Ryzen chip. I do know however, that the new 890m iGPU is much improved from the 780m in mine. I cannot wait until this chip starts showing up in GPD, ONEx, and Minisforum products. Not to mention, the next round of handhelds. Be it, SD2, rALLY2, LeGO2, etc. Solid review, tons of stats.
It depends on what you want. You're picking between an OLED screen and IPS screen, full metal vs partial metal build, silver versus black color, and a Zen 4 CPU vs a Zen 5 CPU. G14 is flashier and sleeker, but the A14 is more powerful and understated. Most importantly, its cheaper. If it was up to me, I'd pick the A14 top spec. Next to the G14, the A14 isn't as pretty but looks good enough. And it beats the G14 in value and performance.
@BNnnen you made a great observation and as of the time of this comment and video, the G14 has the OLED display and the Slash light strip on top cover with ability to go to RTX 4070 but else the A14 looks mighty good but I got to say I do perfer the new Ryzen in the A14, just remember that the G14 came out much earlier this year in February.
just bought the tuf a14 but when it comes to battery life, windows states it lasts around 3-4 hours at 100%. do u think there might be an issue when i got it or is windows just hella innacurate with saying how long it last?
I have it too. It depends on what mode you are in. If you switch the power mode to 'silent' , have the GPU on 'optimised' or 'eco' and turn 'energy saver' on windows 11 you can get 9-11 hours for light tasks.
Just to let you know I left the GPU in standard mode and set to Windows mode which was set to Best Battery Efficiency in windows power scheme because this is the mode I run for all my laptop test to keep it all consistent relative to my battery life test results on this channel.
I got my g14 2024 w/ rtox 4070 for 1,600 - I'm debating on returning it for this one just because of the CPU. I really want the AI 370 but unsure if it's worth the trade offs of the quality and going to a 4060. What do you think?
My advice is don't do it, some people are saying that the new Ryzen 370 hx is too powerful for the 4060 that is paired with on A14 and the Ryzen 7 8845 is a better option with a 4060 (there is also A14 with 8845 on the market ) , i like the new A14 but i think i will always keep a 4070 G14 .
Welcome ! Can you advise me? I want a laptop for studying and gaming I like the Dell Precision 5550 very much, but there is thermal throttling in it What do you advise me? Thank you
Thanks @whitecomet25, I am trying to find time to play since the filming haven't booted it back up have too many projects going on but I am hoping this weekend maybe slot in an hour to play =). I hope the PS5 version is just as good, I am expecting it to be better since consoles are limited controlled hardware and makes easier for the developers.
👍 Great video!! Fk this laptop costing this much 😡 what is the point of budget tuf series when it will compete on price with full fat Rog zephyrus g14 line. They could have easily shredded some extra goodies to make this a nice budget laptop but the didn't.
Wishing that it doesn't cost so much in Australia - $2599 AUD from ASUS website. There's also a 2nd M2 SSD slot free if you want to expand.
I do like the small form factor and light weight making it very portable.
IMO the price probably going to get cut way down because of how close the price of this is compared to the g14. They’re basically the same laptop, the TUF A14 just doesn’t have the OLED display or the all metal chassis.
The TUF also tends to get better battery life with the LCD display instead of the OLED
You made a mistake on the material of the palm area. It is plastic, not aluminum.
Just purchase one for my son for when he goes to uni for working and gaming, portable and powerful
Since when 2000 dollars became ultimate budget laptop 💀
since it is 1400€ the best configuration in other countries
Who told you the A14 was 2k dolls?
It’s 1800 CAD which is in US around 1300$ to 1400$
@@ikennaonwunli5072 it is over $2K in southeast asia
It's like 1600 us

Asus Tuf A14 Good Budget Laptop for Machine Learning and Deep learning.
What's the difference between Asus TUF A14 and Asus TUF A16???
one is 14 inch the other is 16 inch, and the TUF A16 can go up to a RTX 4070. The TUF A14 only has a RTX 4060 version
@@jayden8584 I bought the Asus TUF A16, did not get the chance to explore and use it. Now, it’s on Asus for repair. WTH!!!
I want someone to compare it to Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 2024
Same
You can compare the exact models of both the laptops on Nano Review website

I'm curious. What is the real difference between this and the G14? Apart from the OLED screen, it seems pretty much the same and it's so much cheaper.

@@BsianTech Of course. Thanks
reviewers say that g14 also has much better speakers
Everything is nice until you said its budget gaming laptop. In my country this cost around 2400 $

Ultimate budget? This laptop cost 1900 euro…
Guys help me choose between this and asus zenbook pro 14 for gaming...
Zenbook doesnt have graphic card dgpu afaik. Only igpu. So if you are not a heavy gamer,go for zenbook, and get a14 tuf if you are a casual gamer
is the ram upgradable or is it soldered ?
soldered
Is the ram upgrable ?
No. It on board, so make sure you pick what you need at the time of purchase
display color accuracy is very disappointing i would loved of it covered at least 80% adobe

Appreciate the comment and feedback @PoiseMuncher, feedback to Asus will hopefully help with the re-analysing the market for the TUF series.
