Well, the weights (empty and total) are actually not that different from a regular A330, MTOW is actually lower for the Beluga XL. This thing is specialised in moving extremely big items, not so much extra-heavy payload.
Great video i must say.Come to think of it now it is the new competitor of the Dreamlifter and also it is made from tha A330 imagine if it was powered by PW4000.Then it would be two different planes competing but with the same engines as the LCF is powered by PW4000s. I see this video also features the original beluga. If you look closely at the beluga then the BelugaXL you can see the difference in size.
