I just picked up a C-Series as I can't justify the price difference. It's a grill... let's all be honest with ourselves, 95% of what we cook is burgers, dogs, steak, and chicken. We don't need all the bells and whistles.

Thanks for your comment James! I think you bring up a good point, for most people that aren't going to use the additional features, it wouldn't make sense to jump up to S-Series. This really comes down to how advanced your cooking style is and how you intend to use the grill in order to extract the value out of an S-Series.
We hope you enjoy your new grill and thank you for watching the video!

    1. What is the function of the upper grate part, the one that is above the main ones and toward the back?
    2. What is the IR Burner and does it come with the 36" C-Series (C2C36 Model)?

Thanks for video. Do the ceramic bkqts in the S-series pose a frustrating maintenance issue? Can they be changed out for the flame tamers/blockers?

Hi Jason, thank you for the question! To clean off the ceramic briquettes, they just need to be flipped over and burned off to clean.
Yes, they can be changed out for the standard flame tamers
Thank you for watching this video! Feel free tor reach out with any further questions.

@@laurenconrad3286 wish they did what other manufactures are doing where the briquettes are from both sides where you fliped them right before cooking.

@@laurenconrad3286 I'm so close to purchasing the s series, but really not interested in the maintenance of the ceramic briquettes. I called a Coyote number, and I was told traditional stainless flame tamers were not available. Any idea where I would fine stainless tamers for the Coyote S 36?

Is there an S series without the searer and all regular burners? You would lose grilling footprint - 25% if quite a bit; then if I get a C, I don't get the ceramic bqts or the rotisserie

Hi Rico. Thanks for reaching out! That's a great question, and it's kind of a one-or-the-other type situation with the S-series vs. C-series. You can add ceramic briquettes to the C; however, if you add the rotisserie, you won't have the back infrared burner so it would essentially be useless. And with the S-series, if you swap the infrared burner with the infinity burner, the grill won't work properly because it's designed for the infrared. If you have any other questions to help you make a decision, please let us know.
