  • The allegations about David Cameron, the Oxford dining society, and what may or may not have found its way into a pigs head have been called "pretty low rent" by friends of the PM today. Certainly, it's not hard to see the claims, in a new unauthorised biography of the Prime Minister, as motivated by the bitterness of someone who gave the Tories millions, and didn't get the job he dreamt of in return. Lord Ashcroft, for his part, has said that his book is "not about settling scores".
