EDFs dont unload on the air that much. So its gonna be pretty high amp draw. But what this tells me is that 7s is a good compromise!! Thanks for always pushing the envelope!!
@@ghoustanable thanks for the answer... i`m courious because you got amazing results with the freewing on 80mm vs FMS and looks 90mm on freewing might be something
@daniel alessandrini it's possible. However, if I was going to do any testing, if I were you, go up one cell at a time and measure the temperature of the windings in the motor and the amp difference as you go up each cell.
I've tested that 3748 1390kv inrunner on 8s, and let me tell you, I wish I left it in my V2 Eurofighter and ran 8s. Output was static 3.4kg @ 3000watts with 31 volts. Sewn as high as 3200watts on 31volts. So a fully charged battery in sure it'll do even better. So I'm sure the 4075 inrunner would do better.
Hey guys, recently tested FMS 80mm 6S with 4665 kv2000 in runner, it gave me 3.6Kg of trust on fresh battery w/ aerostar wife 130A esc, just need change timing to 26 degree
What do you think is a good EDF unit for my 90mm jets I tried the 1390kv 8s had the same speed as the 6cell 1900kv only difference was it climbed faster but it did have the same or less speed any idea on something better for a 8s system for my 90mm f22,f16 and f4
Hands down the FMS 90mm 1500 KV 8s fan. I have run it on 8, 9 and 10s and it's rock solid. Just use a castle ESC 160amp and you will be fine. Thanks Houstan! Gotta give you credit for figuring out this setup. It is so much fun!
Have you tested the stock Freewing 90mm 12-Blade EDF 8S Power System w/ 4075-1390Kv on 10s?
No sorry I haven't.

Interesting test. What thrust testing stand is that and where’d you get it?
Cyclone power RCCastle.com.

does the motor support 8s power ?
Yes as per the video it does
Is it the stock edf from the Motion rc site?😮
@@danielalessandrini2299 yes it is.
@@ghoustanable how do u know the motor can handle that high volt and wont burn it?
@@IanChen-m1o I've been running it like this for about 2 years now the motor can handle it no problem.

130
I have also try this on 8S but the motor begins to smoke , maybe on 7S
Make sure that the timing is set to low on your ESC.
