I really appreciate exposure to one of my favorite aircraft. I believe for most of us sick in a purely recreational aircraft that this fills most of our needs and wants. It’s a trike with steerable know it’s real, it’s high wind was good for his ability, and it accepts a very economical power plant. All these arguments against two-stroke engines go nowhere if you’re only flying 50 to 100 hours a year. If you can tune in to RUclips you’ll see a video of some super hard landings and that gear seems to really be able to take it. I wish the video could’ve been longer and had a real good look at the construction. I know a lot of people think this is a copy of a challenger but I would have liked to see all the differences a little more closely. I wish this fella good luck with his sales and look forward to more videos how to cover a wide range of aircraft.Thank you
I think if I buy one with a 2 stroke ill go with the fuel injected being that I had lot of dirt bikes which were 2 stroke they were always sensitive to altitude. When I bought my bass boat it had an FI 200HP Merc never had any issues always ran perfect.
This was an excellent 'format' (?), with the expert simply providing details rather than viewers hearing questions being asked. Who knew? Very interesting business model, having a supermodel running production. I wish these good people, every success. Thank you Bryan, for introducing them to us.
It is a great experience each time we interview a Builder or Manufacturer in Aviation for sure. Everyone has something unique to offer. Thank you for commenting here today! :-)
Poor Nikki has to make everything. I’m wondering if it wouldn’t be more advantageous to have all the machined parts to be manufactured outside and free up Nikki to perform assembly functions instead of making the small parts? I’m wondering if Nikki performs all the TIG welding too?
@@macnudd - exactly! One person operation but I bet she has all the overtime she wants. She looks like she could use something to eat too. Working her to death!
😂 love it! Im quite the machine. I am head of production and do cover or oversee the majority of the functions around the shop.. would love to take all the credit but we do have a small crew we that is incredibly important to our team.. and do handle all the gusset making, tail sections and so forth I don't have time for💪😁
Yes!!!! Nikki is drop dead gorgeous! Need to see way more of her. I did cringe a little when he said that. In the current environment you can’t look sideways at a pretty girl without fear of accusations. Very interesting content.
Never going to fly a rear engined ultralight.... hit the ground nose first and you get and engine block travelling through you to the ground. look at some Kolb wreckage. no thanks!
Tom copied the challenger design and changed a few things. That airframe cannot safely support, and was not designed to support the weight of a four stroke four cylinder engine!
It appears they are selling mostly with these 2-stroke Hirth and Rotax options. I did NOT see a Rotax 912 present while onsite and I would also assume a completely different engine mount and some additional structure would be require to operate a heavier engine. Thanks for taking the time to engage here and for watching today!
Landing gear looks horrible with shock cord wrap, wont last overtime. Unsafe landing in fields or sand bars, or gross weight take off or landing ,i felt mistrust when I seen the cord Wrap, cost of replacing or damage an cant take off in remote location.
These factory tours are very interesting. Thank you for doing them.
You are very welcome! I enjoy them as well! Something new to learn every time!

That's a sweet little bird! 23 years in business says a lot about the people and the plane. Great job!
Thanks! I learn something new each episode as well. I enjoy these Factory Tours personally! Thank You for chiming in today!

33K is a bit much. I could buy a Grumman Cheetah, 4 place for less.
Super model?? Ummmm are you blind!! That’s what 30yrs of a crack addiction looks like!
The people you find making experimental aircraft is amazing. They look like they work hard in that shop turning out kits mostly made by hand.

This is the second interesting pusher design I've seen on this channel.
Another great and informative video. Thanks Brian!
It looks like a fun aircraft to tool around in on a summer's day.
Very good looking airplane and so simple to make. With the 51% build you can do you own inspections, that is very cool
Thanks for watching! Good to see you here! Are you planning to build something in the near future?
I like it! What a blast
neat...very cool
Thanks for watching today!
Very professional set up thanks for the education👍🏻👍🏻🤠
I’d like to see it with the aeromomentum 1.0 liter 3 cylider engine....and a set of amphib floats.
The Excalibur was designed to sit on floats and looks absolutely gorgeous on them!👍
Love you channel, can you do something on the Kolb Aircraft?
25 years of manufacturing is impressive. I expect it is fairly bug free.
looks like a beaver or chalenger from back in the day. looks like fun
Pretty sure I'm gonna start saving for this kit starting right .............now!
Resembles a Challenger 2. Like the flap option
Very similar for sure. Many differences however. Thanks for stopping by!
uffff nikiii
So it looks like Nikki does everything and no one else works there. Am I close to correct?

Nikki should have been the one to narrate the tour.

why are they milling in a chuck?
Nice , first comment.
Hah! Well Thanks! Good to have you here!
Lucky...make a wish😁👍
maybe add a bushing to the landing gear trailing arms?
Looks exactly like the Challenger.
Airplane!! What Airplane?
How much ???
I want to buy it .
Elvis is alive and well..and building airplanes...
Elvis? It's Reverend Jim Jones of "Drink the Kool-Aid" fame. Exactly.
Like the 2 seat concept but wish is was side-by-side, not tandem.
I’m happy to see that ex TV evangelist are able to find a new place to make a living in aviation.
I thought he was the incarnation of Jim Jones, don't drink the coolaid.
What ? Ex TV evangelist
looks just like the Chalenger2
Has, or would, Excalibur ever consider making a motor glider comparable to Pipistrel, or Sonex Xenos for those with glider certification?
35 yr + & Noth'in Nue ! YYZ , Mohawk-Planker ...
People love the term "aircraft grade". There really is no such thing. There is material specifiations and traceability. That's it.
looks like a chalenger
Sun glasses indoors.. ?
😂😂...we are in sunny Florida and unable to be seen adjacent from us are five 20-something foot bay doors wide open.☀💯
!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Roy Orbison and Ben Stein had a child who...
Hope we can get the FAA to get smart about 2-seater Part 103 nonsense..

For 33K, I could buy a Grumman
A Grumman canoe maybe.
copy of a challenger
Awkward.
Haha! :-P

No different than gear bungees on a piper cub.
