    I've never been sure which little balls were slug eggs. Thanks! I am also in 8b on Western Washington.

      Hi Donna!! 👋👋 It can be hard sometimes to find them and they can be covered under the very top layer of soil. Slugs are crafty. That's great you are a Western Washingtonian, too! West-siders, right!?! Thank you for watching and for commenting! 😉😃

    What about the yellow ones?, I have a bonsai tree and when I originally got it it had fertilizer, but recently I was checking on it and placing it where it usually goes and I noticed that where the roots where it had yellow like eggs?, but when you squeeze them a clear substance pops out, kinda worried bc my other bonsai tree doesn’t have this, it just thrives off of water

    Could it be a good source of food for hedgehogs 🦔 to let them hatch. I’ve got hundreds of them in my garden. Hard tiny white cream balls on soil

    Can eggs be hard and powdery

    • @SpokenGarden
      @SpokenGarden  Год назад

      Hi @annacirronis1847! 👋🏼👋🏼 Good question. Usually slug eggs are translucent and kinda sticky, having a more rubbery-feel and firm. So, yes on the "hard" or firm, but not sure about the powdery part. The eggs are almost perfect little spheres and don't have any jagged or angles to their surface. Hope that helps and definitely keep on patrol for those slug eggs. 😮😊
