Overall nice work. I would suggest doing some reading on speaker an amplifier ratings and also on box (port, passive radiator) tuning. I like the glossy acrylic, I have made numerous wood and and mdf Bluetooth speakers and have been thinking about an acrylic one.
Hi, it is awasome! But, how you are using pasive radiators, if you use 3 way speakers, and they have an open cone for the tweeters, there is no air presion. How they work?
a beautiful build. Gave me some ideas, thank you but that box needs more integrity. I would think you're getting some additional resident harmonics off of the box and you should use some kind of polyfill instead of that shipping foam weird stuff
Nice build! Thanks for sharing, I have a nice jbl center surround speaker that might be a great candidate to add a Bluetooth amp too?.. Maybe....?? Hmmmm
this is not the good foam for speaker, they are closed cells, you need open cells like polyurethan foam or the best is melamin foam for sound damping ;) you can use some wool too like polyester wool to breaks up standing waves
El_Taiito , agreed, polyfil works well also, I used an old pillow stuffing and some stuffing from stuffed animals from my dogs chew toys of all things, lol
Completely agree with El_Taiito: This kind of foam is more likely killing your bass due too decreasing the available volume than the other way around. It has more use to put an old wool sweater inside. ;-)
Nice work, nice music, usefull and at the top, GOOD SOUND!!! I have a Logitech bluetooth boombox, but yours is excellent, Thanks for showing ur work, waiting for more, Cheers !
Not really. This is a horrible design. Tweeters should always be close together. He'll have comb-filtering. I.E. his driver placement is such that he has created noise cancellation of his own sound. FACEPALM!!! It's ok, if you're going for a weird atmospheric sound where tweeters are on different planes (different sides of the box), but never configure this set up for a center channel or how he did it. EPIC FAILURE!!!
There are so many things wrong with how the enclosure is built. Wrapping excess wire around the speaker basket? Cool project using the Acrylic and the passives, but that's not a high quality build.
There are few good reasons why this amplifier is attached outside the box. One reason is, the amp can cool down in no time at peak power. The other reason is that I could easily hook up a different set of speakers to it plus, I can access other options like an audio line in, headphones, etc.
Excellent stuff...and very well made..how about adding couple of neodymium tweeters, one 5'' Passive radiator and more Polly fill ? does that make sense ?
...adding tweeters to a build that already has them? That's a bit pointless. This whole project needs revising! The box is pretty.. but that's where it ends. Theres so many thing wrong with this project that adding more parts just wont cure
Do YOU know what comb-filtering is? This is a stereo set up... signals to each speaker/tweeter will be essentially different, so no lobes and nulls because of that here... just better staging.
Why would anyone have a stereo setup with less than 6 inches between the two channels??? I guess if one loves the sound of a muddled stereo that will essentially sound like a hot mess mono channel, then have at it. You'll still have comb-filtering but it will be incidental and random. What a mess.

I wish I could, but most links will eventually expire over time and I do not like sending viewers over to a 404. The best way to look for the items in this video is to copy and paste them in Google search engine. That way, the search is done properly for your country or, region with the correct cost and availability.
the subwoofers have reverse polarity... so they flex alternatively for each beat. check for it in the slo mo. May be the camera might be playing trick here
bababaphotri that's what I was thinking, either it's the camera, or those woofers are out of phase with each other lol in essence, one is canceling out the other
Did any one of you actually watch the wide? Both "woofers" are passive radiaters. A passive radiator is just an cone that resonates at a given frequency instead of an port. So there is no coil, no magnet and no power connected to them. The out of phase problem in close to all speaker videos is a result of the shutterspeed in a camera. But it's still possible that the 3.5 coaxials is out of phase with each other even tho it's unlikely because he shows us exactly how everything is connected in the video.
passive radiator, like all ports, have a resonating frequency, so if they go really lower or higher of it, they will be out of phase and will not produce bass (or they can cancel the bass of the speakers. thats why they need to be CALCUTALED like bass reflex port But most of time they look out of phase, this is normal
, the only thing I saw wrong was the foam behind the passive radiators was too thick. way too thick. air volume space is how a speaker generates it's tone qualities and base. other than that, it's still better than anything you can buy and a lot cheaper. you can add Tang band subwoofer and LED lights, only limits is your imagination, great job, looks good and I bet it sounds good. the class T and class D amplifiers love to be @ 4 Ohms so car speakers are great to use. next time use more power and a 2.1 amp with a subwoofer and a set of component car speakers
or just disconnect one channel , If you get more bass= out of phase. You can check it with an AA or any battery and just watch the cone. if the cone moves out when the battery + to speaker wire + then its all good, if not, then one is wired backwards
It's possible. . . both sides should come already covered but I've always add an extra layer of tape to the cutting edges. You don't have too, it's just a habit of mine when cutting such materials but try cutting a scrape piece of acrylic with your circular saw first. . .
Very Impressive video. Perfect building.
I loved to watch.Thank you.
Finally someone that shows and explains the whole process about building a speaker box. Awesome build man!
Thank you.
Except drilling/cutting method for speaker holes through the acrylic.
Nice ! Would be nice to get that fully mobile and pack all the stuff inside
U r a thorough professional person with 100% perfection n neat n clean in your work.
Nice looking speaker
Overall nice work. I would suggest doing some reading on speaker an amplifier ratings and also on box (port, passive radiator) tuning. I like the glossy acrylic, I have made numerous wood and and mdf Bluetooth speakers and have been thinking about an acrylic one.
You can't have ports if you use a passive radiator because passives need a sealed enclosure to work properly.
Benjamin Bloedorn , agreed, I would have screwed the speakers instead of glueing them and the back panel as well for tuning and replacement purposes
Great sound very good and powerful
Good craftsmanship! 😀👍🏽
Hi, it is awasome! But, how you are using pasive radiators, if you use 3 way speakers, and they have an open cone for the tweeters, there is no air presion. How they work?
How thick is the acrylic plastic? How about a component list of what you used? We can see but a list with costs?
Nice DIY build! But what other opinion can one do besides glueing the last top on? Say if you need to replace or improve speakers?
Unique setup!
a beautiful build. Gave me some ideas, thank you but that box needs more integrity. I would think you're getting some additional resident harmonics off of the box and you should use some kind of polyfill instead of that shipping foam weird stuff
Woofer looks like beoplay s3 from B&o
Great job

Очень круто получилось!
Буду себе такую же делать)))

Nice build. Good video too. But never twist wires.
Nice job on the soddering. Really good. Hey I'm working with parts from TV's and transformers MISC Speakers and I have casting device
Nice work, nice music, usefull and at the top, GOOD SOUND!!!
I have a Logitech bluetooth boombox, but yours is excellent,
Thanks for showing ur work, waiting for more,

I am working on a HUGE project...
100w 122 cm tall about half a meter wide speaker
One word.
Wow!
awesome.. looks great
Better than the boombox
Una pregunta porque se le pone esponja o esa espuma dentro del cajón??????? Gracias buen vídeo
Doesn't the foam you used greatly reduce your effective volume since air can't pass through it?
alexermerson , he used passive radiators, sealed enclosure, didn't you watch the video. doesn't work that way with a sealed enclosure.
Cool speaker

very nice video
also das absichtliche Gewackel am Anfang hättest du dir auch sparen können
Can someone plz tell why there are no cables to the passive radiators.. newbie here
There are so many things wrong with how the enclosure is built.
Wrapping excess wire around the speaker basket?
Cool project using the Acrylic and the passives, but that's not a high quality build.
JsmekG ockh -95
Cool
how do you have figured out the dimension of the box? without simulation software with TS parameter?
that makes the box unrepairable
You should start making speakers with the amplifier inside the box and make them wireless
Elevier Beltran i made one but i have not posted mine yet it uses the same amp but in an ammunition box. But mine does not look that good
If you can build one in an ammunition box, I would love to watch it :)
There are few good reasons why this amplifier is attached outside the box. One reason is, the amp can cool down in no time at peak power. The other reason is that I could easily hook up a different set of speakers to it plus, I can access other options like an audio line in, headphones, etc.
BookProX ohhh ok nice speaker doe
james villalobos I subscribed to your RUclips channel and I will be waiting to watch ur ammunition box speakers 👍

Where are the link for the things that you use here
que componentes trae este sistema excelente puedes pasarme los componentes por favor
30x30=900 watts, sounds extreme :P
True. Let me correct that :D
Hahaha, sorry for beeing a dick :P I just had to do it :))
Do you know what comb-filtering is? Your tweeters should be close.
You've created a device that will cancel out the high frequencies.
Do YOU know what comb-filtering is? This is a stereo set up... signals to each speaker/tweeter will be essentially different, so no lobes and nulls because of that here... just better staging.

What a mess.
Where have you bought the acrilic bars? On the Internet? What are their specs? Is the glue specific for it?
Hi. How much did it cost to make?
Hello, please tell me where can I buy such boards already ready can feed
Parabéns pelo belo trabalho...
After 45 seconds, I have up. i'd like information, not just video of drivers moving.
From Where to arrange all items ?
I was the one making 399 likes to 400.Lol😂😂😂.Great job bro..Keep it up
Why would you put fome in your speaker? It decreases the volume of your box
好nice box

BookProX due to the site of the passive radiators you probably only needed one of them
All in all a good speaker but you could put 2 more of those active full ranges and not even harm those radiators
Your drivers are out of phase
Cool design. But he overdid it with power. This amplifier plays with 12.5W power per channel.
Sis daiktas man patinka.👍
Why not make one with Google Assistant via parts from Google Mini?!
I want this
What are you using for the glue?
Ótimo trabalho, acabamento de primeira!! Like e inscrito
Excelente
battery is inserted into the bluetooth amp?
Nice 😎
Onde eu compo o amplificador e os falantes ???
where did you calculate the internal dimensions?
I went to this website: the12volt.com as seen in my other video ruclips.net/video/JaPPaGLpv7A/видео.html ;)
Mantaf sub. ,politron,...aku pernnah make
This have good bass ? Bass is low ?
Share buying link of parts
im new to the cement glue you used in the video, how well does it holds the box and speaker, will the glue got off if it gets pressure or bump ?
cement glue is very strong its completely bonded
It work for me
is this can be placed with TDA7492P ?
Can you link all of the items used for easy purchase?

BookProX thanks for the reply.
Any time. Thanks for being awesome :)
Whats both the song u used?
Is there a link to the amplifier?
You can find it on amazon
Nice.
It's online
Hey bro what speaker is this
and where is the sound test?
Total expense?
the subwoofers have reverse polarity... so they flex alternatively for each beat. check for it in the slo mo. May be the camera might be playing trick here
bababaphotri that's what I was thinking, either it's the camera, or those woofers are out of phase with each other lol in essence, one is canceling out the other
magruder94 yes. seems like it.
Yeah, it's out of phase

bdbase The woofers are passive radiators

Bro should u sell it?
What was the total price to build it?
About $110-130
Run a bass tone from youtube on example 80hz. Push one speaker inwards. Will it be more bass you have put + - wrong between speakers!
or just disconnect one channel , If you get more bass= out of phase. You can check it with an AA or any battery and just watch the cone. if the cone moves out when the battery + to speaker wire + then its all good, if not, then one is wired backwards
The sub have reverse polarity!
Where is its battery?
Why used class d amplifier... should used AB class ..for speakers..overall ok
Which material you use to this speaker
1/4 inch opaque black acrylic sheet
BookProX thank
I build a 50x50 and its so loud
How did you cut the acrylic?
+Teun Van de Voorde, You can cut it on a table saw I'm sure. . .
SouthboundTP Is it also possible to cut it with a circular saw because it don't have a table saw..
It's possible. . . both sides should come already covered but I've always add an extra layer of tape to the cutting edges. You don't have too, it's just a habit of mine when cutting such materials but try cutting a scrape piece of acrylic with your circular saw first. . .
Ok, Thanks for your help.. I really appreciate it!
can u build one of those for me and sell me
