As a boxer, this fight is not bad at all from a realism point of view. You can definitely tell it’s choreographed by how “clean” the moves are, but the moves themselves are spot on.
The scene also describes the great thing about Rocky Balboa's character that he went to check out opponent fighter who lost the fight. It's a privilege to have someone like him around. Donnie's a lucky guy (in the film.)
@@MiguelRodriguez-dk2ds he means the craft of the film itself is the reason why it's one of the better scenes. Who cares if the main protag loses at something lol
When his girl said said,, you didn't say you had hands like that.. gave him a extra boost of confidence... Like yea I impressed my woman too who next type shit 🤣💪🏾💪🏾
Not only was this a one-take, which is already impressive enough, but they had to add in a cut over Adonis’ eye. At 1:08 it’s CGI, but later during the scene, while he’s off camera, makeup artists applied the cut practically. This scene is an extremely impressive feat of filmmaking.
This is great, they’ve worked it into the narrative and overcome the limitations of doing a long take. Bad long takes are distracting and awkward. The Northman for example
Choreography is better in this movie than in the second and third movies. I saw creed three yesterday, and I was laughing at how crazy it looked. It was like watching one of those kung fu movies were suddenly everybody starts flying around and doing kung fu on the treetops are off the side of buildings.
Yeah, there were times when Dame was blocking his body that it looked like he was doing Muay Thai. I guess they wanted to have him do unorthodox moves, but it looked strange.
How fuckin cool a follow up movie trilogy apologies trialed rocky to return to rhe ring to smart Mt t face now to remember one of rocks hardest challenges and to remember his best freand apologies creed by training his son 😀
tbf it is a movie and a more realistic fight wouldnt be as entertaining. but yeah i watched this then went to watch some actual boxing fights and thought everyone was shit lmao
@@benrobbo2902 this is so unrelated but u should check out the raid redemption. A completely different way of fighting (not boxing) but has my fav fight scenes from any movie bc of how well they were done. If ur not sure, just check out a clip on RUclips or smth.
This scene is pretty good as far as realism goes. Its a bit too clean and the fighters heads fly back whenever they get punched but other than that, the choreography is impressive.
Cheorgraphy was straight. I mean it's way better than many, but I think they should've went for a more traditional cinematic vibes too. The chronograph just looks too rehearsed and not natural... plus it wad monotone. They should have shot the scene with highlight moments here and there to add more dynamic, instead of again this monotone flow of a fight. Plus I think MBJ acting sucks. He act like he's acting lol. Edit: just watched the final fight in Creed 2. That's what I've talking about. Dynamic, highlight moments and dramatic as a film should be. Only bad thing is MBJs acting was still cringe and he put on a ridiculous amount unnecessary muscle, a bit of a poser in that way. Them full 3D delta just looked weird. But it didn't seem to affect his punching tho. 2nd Edit: Just finally watched Creed3 fights (havent watched neither the full movie of 2 or 3 yet). Strictly reviewing the fights MBJ continous to get seriously better in his ability to deliver a good fight scene. Seriously all 3 of these creed fights have been the best in all of cinema history. What i enjoyed this time around with this 3rd one is the focus on Adonis being a little more slick, such as the slow down moments when he slips a shot and sees an opening to liver. His overall boxers body language looked a lot better, such as feinting, head pull backs, anticipating shots, etc. His fight with professional boxer Tony Bellew was the best. The final fight agaist actor Majors wasn't bad at all neither, but with him not being a pro boxer it really showed. His use of the Philly shield looked really awkward, and he definitely is not as experienced as MJB. I must say even though im probably still not a fan of MBJs acting, you can count on him to make one hell of a boxing scene, best in the game.

2:45 Love Rocky's off-screen line to Adonis: "Your old man did that to me. It worked."
I agree it’s a very nice little touch to the scene.
God this scene is amazing, this is real acting. One long uncut scene, like a freaking play.
One of the best parts in the movie!

The fact that this was all in one shot was just incredible. One shot scenes are very hard to pull off in movies.

Shoutout to the cameraman who was dripping with sweat and filming for hours on end to get this.

This was such a great scene to watch in IMAX. It felt immersive.
The whole movie especially this scene is phenomenal. One camera uncut. Feel so real 🔥💪🙌
Cinematic long takes are the best form of visual storytelling. Change my mind.

That's why Stanley Kubrick is my favorite Film maker
@I drink your milkshake One film in particular where he uses long takes is Barry Lyndon, which might be my favorite he directed .
@I drink your milkshake I completely agree what a saga

It's so rare to see one take fights like this
What a great way to show boxing
“There is no tomorrow” love that call back
This fight in surround sound is amazing.
"WE got one."
Mah man.
Giving props to the man who helped him.
3:23 I loved how he led him in with the jab, circled the head, and landed a clean shot. The choreography was fantastic in the first Creed.
Rocky was like a father for Adonis ❤
this so much better than creed 3 fight, keeping it simple, actual boxing
I love the music throughout this fight
Creed’s famous words let’s go boy
Or come on
Fantastic filmmaking right here. Phenomenal.
this scene makes new sense to me today
He looks like a beast
My toxic trait is thinking i can move like that
Truly magnificent!
Trying to find a cut in this scene but can't...If it was truly a one-take, that's impressive.
wow i love creed so much hes my favorite boxer maybe aside from canelo, thank you for the video DK MC
Great fight scene
"Your old man did that to me. It worked out".
I wanna see creed vs Dixon

even that guy bet against balboa like wtf after all he did for your family
Blake Griffin put up a decent fight against Adonis

It's a lot more realistic than the Rocky movies lol

I noticed the refs in these movies get better is they go on. You look at the ones from the 80s and the refs are a joke.
