Growing up in the Vancouver area, I have to say, Victoria is such an underrated city. It doesn't have the same amenities as Vancouver, obviously, but it's still a beautiful, somewhat old school city. I remember when I came here 3 years ago, I was told not to go down to Pandora Avenue because it was supposedly, in parts, like the equivalent of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. As someone who worked down there, Victoria's "skid row" is nothing compared to the mainland. It's at least somewhat clean and while there are street people, it's not even close to the same extent as Vancouver. If anything, it's East Van. Nothing particularly dirty or scary.
I'm a Kings fan living in Metro Vancouver. I've been the biggest Canucks critic forever, but I honestly believe that Quinn has been the best captain by far this season.
Not sure if this is the best example of a good game by the Canucks. They've had a few games like this this season. At the point where Hughes gets mad, they're getting outshot 21-11. The ended up getting outshot and outworked heavily to the tune of almost 50-20, but capitalizing on the chances they had. The Canucks are a great and well rounded team, but this game is a good example of what the haters think of when they say what they think the Canucks are about this year.
I agree a little bit but what you're missing is that this is also a team that bends sometimes but almost always when they really need to they clutch up and get it done. No matter who they are playing. A lot of teams maybe even most would have lost that game the way things were going but instead they find a way. And this happens enough times to show it isn't an anomaly.
Leafs stacked 14 shots at the end with a 6-4 and 6-3. It wouldnt have been much a difference. Canucks stop shooting when they are up by 2 or more goals because they can play the defence for that
coming from a leafs fan myself This team Dosent look like a stanley cup Contender Vancouver Edmonton and Winnipeg have a better chance of contending for the cup than Toronto. Unfortunately
I attended this game lower bowl seats and I am going to say you got it wrong. Quinn showing emotion and being angry on the bench was because Domi cross checked him hard in the corner. Quinn went straight to the bench and was mad because he was in pain I'm guessing. Also Leafs tied the game 3-3 and then 5 mins later Quinn got mad on the bench right after Domi's cross check to his arm. So in a way your video might be wrong.
I gotta be that guy for a sec... But we all know that if one of the Leafs top players did something like this everyone would be ranting about how unhinged and unprofessional they are regardless of the circumstances. I agree, I love when players wear their heart on their sleeve for a bit, but I just find that little bit of context funny.
Sheldon, no time out but your counterpart thought it was warranted, losing a 3 goal lead. Funny happened after that the Vancouver Canucks scored 3 more goals yes allowed the Leafs to score another goal. But they scored two more after that and won the game. Even killed a penalty against 6 players !! Leafs in 6 games in which they squandered the leads never were able to come back and win any of those games. Quinn emotional display on the bench was very different than Travares Mathews Marner Riellys . Look at the tablet or score board head down look out into space
Good on the Canucks for not folding after the Leafs rallied. I think during the 2nd intermission, someone reminded the Canucks players that the Leafs really aren’t very good.
I always think it's funny when people say something "isn't a Picasso" like his paintings look conventionally beautiful instead of like a bunch of bent up, jumbled, chaotic nightmare fuel.
If Rick Tochet doesn't win coach of the year it's rigged. He's the only really big change on the Canucks and they have gone from a mess to the absolute powerhouse of the league. It's one of the most unbelievable turnarounds I've ever seen.
I wouldn't say there haven't been big changes to the roster and management, bringing in Foote and Gonchar as Assistant Coaches, basically an entirely revamped d core and bottom 6 and not to mention solid backup goaltending. Like a cooking, it takes a good chef to put all the ingredients together and make them work, which is where Tocchet shines. He is a good communicator and is able to get his point across in a way the team can understand and buy into, that is huge
What's impressive is that these are not easy wins. The Canucks have been earning them and not just cruising. Everyone knows the Canucks are the measuring stick and wanna knock them down a peg. So there won't be any easy wins.

Nothing particularly dirty or scary.
and full of tree hugging liberals ruining canada
I'm a Kings fan living in Metro Vancouver. I've been the biggest Canucks critic forever, but I honestly believe that Quinn has been the best captain by far this season.
i was at this game, electric i was a leafs fan and u heard more go leafs go than vancouver cheering
Canucks stop shooting when they are up by 2 or more goals because they can play the defence for that
Toronto vs Vancouver in the cup final, come on man!
As a leafs fan there is no way this team is getting past the first round unless we make some major changes by the deadline
The leafs are not a cup contender
coming from a leafs fan myself This team Dosent look like a stanley cup Contender Vancouver Edmonton and Winnipeg have a better chance of contending for the cup than Toronto. Unfortunately
@TheSpiggle33 I think you guys just need a couple more 5 year, 10 mil per contracts and then you'll be good
@bronzeandsteel3344 there's a goalie in my beer league and a couple dmen available
Love this video!!! #gocanucksGOOO
The Hughes fam are captains Quinn’s a captain and Jack is an alternate captain and Luke’s a future captaincy role.
If we somehow don’t sign petey I’ll be crushed
Petey for Bedard
Baby stop everything Johnny Hawkey uploaded
As a leafs fan we need to play better This year gg vancover fans
"i love the celebration stick twirl and holster... so smooth". i don't think a g4yer thing has ever been said about a sporting event.
Hughes is a culture changer
Something Horvat never did and needed to. Hughes is another level Captain then what we have had in the past.
i loved it.
Yea that garland celly was off the hook
Can the Canucks just make that their permanent jersey? It’s so good and I’m a Hawks fan.
Oh, Captain, my Captain! #43
I always think it's funny when people say something "isn't a Picasso" like his paintings look conventionally beautiful instead of like a bunch of bent up, jumbled, chaotic nightmare fuel.
48-21 shots holy shit
Gotta love sports reporting, if the Canucks blew that game EVERYONE would be shitting on Hughes today.
Hoglander is such good bang for the buck. Scores every once in awhile and only cost a million.
I wish the leafs showed this much passion
Leafs players don’t show that emotion or care enough in the first place and that’s why this Toronto team will never win a Stanley cup.
Ngl I prefer those red, yellow, and black jerseys over the Canucks' current ones.
Actually this was a Picasso… messed up looking but still a work of art. lol.
1:53 When Nylander scores, Leafs are 13-1-3. I suppose he picked a bad day to score?
I want emotion back like Scott Stevens. I’m scared to even write his name 😅
Goat Hughes
She Quinn show he hates to lose. Leafs unfortunately lose and then state how good they played
Well to be fair Demko was also lights out AGAIN in this one!
Jets Canucks conference Final
Who cares if Hughes got mad, he’s a class act player.
He is a good communicator and is able to get his point across in a way the team can understand and buy into, that is huge
are you going to talk about the oilers and flames game?
Why? This is a video about Hughes and the canucks.
@@finneganfly he's a flames fan so i was wondering
What's impressive is that these are not easy wins. The Canucks have been earning them and not just cruising. Everyone knows the Canucks are the measuring stick and wanna knock them down a peg. So there won't be any easy wins.
