I have been eyeing either the 30 inch skag or the 30 inch FW 15 Ferris. I have the Toro 30 inch and love it but quality wise like pulleys, belt and a few other small issues like the gas tank has me looking for something well built by companies that love their product they build. Now I know my Toro Timemaster 30 cuts better than the FW 15 by ferris but quality wise Ferris made a solid product. Skag has really done well over the years on bigger commercial equipment so it would be safe to say they took the same approach to their mid to smaller products. Let me know what you think 😊
The Ferris has hydrostatic drive with reverse. Air tires in back and caster wheels in front. Also 10.2 hp Honda engine. Side discharge/rear bagging/mulching. This thing is loaded but expensive. And I'm a Scag man through and through.
OH had you have raised the front of that MOWER a little bit it would have not been so hard or slow on the MOWER it would have been able to kick some of the grass out on the sides of the MOWER I have a rear discharge WEED EATER MOWER that I don't have a BAG for I when I first got it MOWED with the shut door down it did great as long as I kicked the front up a little bit

Hey i had the scag 30 inch the first one. I just wish it had the swivel front wheels at the time but scag is a very good product.

Overall you recommend it over the toro? I’m waiting 3months before I buy it . Don’t want it to be like the Gen 1 30 inch toro.
I had the 30" i sold it after 1 month but i think scag got it right this time with the 21".
As far as speed with the toro 21 with kawa engine it was fast but is this 21 Scag slow ? Fast ? Or about the same ?
It's faster i have to keep it in turtle.

yes if i have it set at 3" i will put the rear at 3 1/2 no problems cutting with the 7hp

Yup, just got quoted $1967 (no Tax in MT) I'm going to trade in my SFC30 and a Honda 21" and pick up 2. Then comes the 36" stander.

An exmark 21 inch cut mower would do a better job. I owned one for 10 years.
i never had a exmark
The exmark has 3 hp less and only one speed drive. This has 7hp and 3 speeds of drive.

front was at 2 1/2 back at 2 grass just thick
Dude put the big one on the yard and get out.
I put the 36 in the backyard. Now if I’m not doing videos I put equipment to get me in and out and still make the yards look good.
Please do not use POV angle for the camera. it gives headache.
