please show me slowly becase i am 60 years old iwant to learn from you
As a 61 year old ... I cannot tell you how much I am enjoying watching your videos. I can "read" music (Melody and some chord knowledge :) ), to some extent having learned organ as a very young girl... then self taught piano - having major problems in trying to get my hands independent and mostly play in a style - I think it is called stride? Challenging myself to expand my playing and I am truly inspired! Thank you Thank you!!
That is awesome to hear Solly! Keep at it. Will continue to give my best for the channel :)

I am happy you're teaching left hand patterns. You're a great teacher.
Awesome Dorette. More on the Left Hand here: www.nathanielschool.com/free-lessons/tags/lh-patterns
I’ve played piano my entire life (45 years now, classically trained). I just recently joined a classic rock band as a keyboardist. Learning to read chords and turning those into music has been a steep learning curve for me. I’m pushing myself to take it further and just become comfortable with improvising more. You are a MASTER at it. I have been cruising through your lessons. I love your passion. The way you teach is so clear and informative. Thank you so much for being so generous with your talent and knowledge.
Thanks a ton for being a part of our channel Lorie!
Same here
Thank U I enjoy the lesson I,m a starter
Glad i read this comment. I've been teaching myself to play for about 5 years. Knowing that a classically trained musician finds chording and inprov to be challenging is encouraging. Teachers like Jason help tremendously!!
THIS WAS BY FAR THE BEST LESSON IVE WATCHED ON RUclips WHAT A GREAT TEACHER LIKE THE WORM AND WHAT A WAY TO LEARN BOTH HANDS GREAT STUFF

Im looking to use the base part, also with synth sounds in a new band we start....by the way ,the famous dr.dre riff sounds amazing with 3steps loop in the left hand,i practice it all the time....greetings from Germany ❤

I went to musical school for 5 years but i can't improvise or accompany songs. Now I'm learning it from your videos! Im so happy because no other videos on RUclips are like yours. Yours are perfect for learning. Im so happy and thankful for your work! If i start improvising and accompany songs, do i start from learning the rhythm patterns ?
Thanks!
Thank you soo much! I am really glad that my videos are helping you out..!!😇🤘
One thing is for sure: Jason always inspire me.
I'm happy that you've me more knowledge about playing piano. I am 75 yrs. Old .
Awesome Ely! Go for it!
Wow...this has been so fun! Thank you for simplifying things for the left hand! I only play by ear and I am probably a pre bveginner, but this is making sense and I need so much left hand practice/theory that it is very daunting. Boy do I wish I had stuck with my piano lessons as a child, but oh well...I am 61 now and much to late to start over. But I do have a very good ear. I luv bass. I am a drummer and a singer, but always want to try everything on the piano and want to improve a bit just for my own entertainment. I appreciate what you are sharing very much. It is a big help! Lil hugs xo
Hi Jason. Always enjoy your lessons’
Glad you liked it!😊

@@nathanielschool I’m honored that you responded back to me I’m a singer songwriter and your ability to simplify the process has helped me so much …Your the real deal….A true teacher ..I send you blessings …Sweet dreams..
Jason, at first I thought this was yet another video urging students to play full piano. I'm glad you raised the issue of not really doing solo gigs. Most of us will never become good solo pianists, and many students will flounder at home playing the same old ten songs badly, forever.
If I've understood you correctly, you're offering students more tools, so that they can breakout and form collaborations with other musicians in which they can develop their playing without the strain of playing solo. These bass things you're teaching might work alongside a drummer or guitarist or singer, for example, but logically not so well with a bassist. Ideally, there would be at least one instrument (or a drum machine) to share the burden of holding the rhythm on the more challenging pieces.
PS I watch my LH more than my RH, but that's just me.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks Mike 🙏🏽
