For RDR2 the best thing to do is as soon as you can free roam go out and do all of the hunting you can and upgrade everything. Then go back to base and make a save file. That way when you want to play again you have a save to skip those 40 hours of hunting
I seriously questioned whether or not this would be good revisiting a game so soon covered before.... 2 minutes in I am wrong :) and you guys did an amazing job that we actually liked even more then the first take on this game. Kudos to you both.

Game wasn’t a great experience personally since the actual movement and combat were so bad. Story wasn’t delivered well enough to make up for it either. Cool premise that wasn’t taken proper advantage of or captivating enough and got old well before it was over.
It is insane how much this channel grew. I subbed day one with that Red Dead video, and still find myself listening to them in the background as I play games. You guys found a niche and really nailed it.
I never played the first game but I have to say... I was surprised by how little I enjoyed this game. It's so tedious, there is so little freedom in how you approach missions, and there are so many weird quirks like the ones you pointed out at the end of the video that get in the way of a good time.
I was unimpressed by the combat being exactly the same as the last game. Hide behind cover, pop out and shoot until you're damaged, wait until your COD health automatically replenishes, rinse and repeat. Enemies don't flank or do anything interesting. They just stay behind the same cover until you eventually kill them. The only enemies that were any fun to fight were the skinners because some of them come at you with machetes.
I am new to this channel, just discovered it a few days ago but it is AWESOME. So comical and refreshing. I only have one suggestion. Just like every James Bond movie has the lines "Bond, James Bond" and "a martini, shaken not stirred" everyone of your videos has to have "hol up a minute". Cracks me up. Great channel.

(Seriously have never owned a game console till that video- Rockstar should sponsor you lol) PSA: I own 9 horses and had heard about this game from friends and the interwebs, but your RDR2 review convinced me and another horse friend each to buy consoles for the sole reason of playing this ONE game. *owns 9 horses. For a game to be impactful narrativity as most films and story focused games is phenomenal due to the fact it's also got the best open world environment. There's something so beautiful about camping in the wild like a Survival roleplay Experience for hours on end, and to realize 4 Hours later; Oh yeah this has a campaign, and tons of other stuff to feel the time. It's a gift to be honest, by far the best and most underrated game to hit this generation.
This was my most played game of 2019 438 hours, I beat the story twice once honorable and then dishonorable. I also got the platinum trophy which is the main reason for all those hours, and I’m also rank 122 online!! This is currently my favorite game of all time, I just can’t put it down.
Duh, it's Rockstar, alot of people, including me, are even still playing GTA San Andreas, a game as old as me, their quality of story telling, gameplay, environments, and immersion never disappointed

7:46 That pissed me off a lot too. I figured after a while that if you close the map with index option on, it bugs when you open it again. So you need to close the it with that option turned off, then open it again. This "fixes" the map.

gotta say, the first vid I ever saw on this channel was the OG Red Dead 2 review, and it put me off the content bc I felt as though the video game wasn't quite understood as a medium as a whole with some of the criticisms. The part about expecting the dialogue in RDR2 to be normal in games: I had the exact same experience. After playing through RDR2 twice, I went back and replayed the Witcher 3 for the first time in several years. W3 is still a fantastic game overall, but MAN the dialogue just wasn't as good as I remembered it being, and I put that squarely down to Red Dead 2. In the Witcher 3, there's a lot of dialogue that reads perfectly well as text, but when translated into voice, comes off as awkward and unnatural, whereas in RDR2 the characters talk to eachother the way humans really communicate. It's amazing.

Please review Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice. It's a rival to the GOW storytelling and it's a short playthrough. No sidequests just pure epic story.

I like how she went from "the game was beautiful and immersive and the story and Arthur were just the greatest and stole my heart" to "the game gets boring and murder sprees are fun (in game) and I still love this game and had fun that time we kidnapped an old lady and put her in the train tracks"

7:46 That pissed me off a lot too. I figured after a while that if you close the map with index option on, it bugs when you open it again. So you need to close the it with that option turned off, then open it again. This "fixes" the map.
It makes me wonder what is wrong with Rockstar? GTA V didn't have this mess. AFAIK both are built on the RAGE engine.

@@Jerzzylo I didn't play the others 1st. UC4 came with my PS4 and it was a great game to finally get me away from my PS3. UC4 is a great game and epic! Definitely in my top 10 of all time and I've been gaming for 38 years!
gotta say, the first vid I ever saw on this channel was the OG Red Dead 2 review, and it put me off the content bc I felt as though the video game wasn't quite understood as a medium as a whole with some of the criticisms. After seeing this tonight, I have subbed and binged your content bc the appreciation and understanding of the medium is so well represented, especially from the perspective of the one not playing. It is nice to see these beloved games from a different POV. Also appreciate how you point this out yourself in multiple "revisiting" videos

The part about expecting the dialogue in RDR2 to be normal in games: I had the exact same experience. After playing through RDR2 twice, I went back and replayed the Witcher 3 for the first time in several years. W3 is still a fantastic game overall, but MAN the dialogue just wasn't as good as I remembered it being, and I put that squarely down to Red Dead 2. In the Witcher 3, there's a lot of dialogue that reads perfectly well as text, but when translated into voice, comes off as awkward and unnatural, whereas in RDR2 the characters talk to eachother the way humans really communicate. It's amazing.
My gf is playing zbotw for almost a year now. Sometimes when I am chillin, I can hear this sound...in my mind. Pls send help 😣
