I'm sorry to hear that. Sometimes you have to be patient, sometimes you can do things in the mean time like types of exercises and stuff that will prepare your body for parkour. Also I you could always see if your dad would like to talk to me to help him understand it more and how to do it safely.
Ronnie you understand the whole thing! Very nice video! Easy to understand but also very deep and inspiring! Good job! I love your video. I learned a lot from you.
I'm a person who actually loves to exercise. Main problem? Regular running and going to gyms bore the crap out of me. I need to get somewhere, hence the reason I fell in love with Parkour. (Through your video with Devin about AC in real life actually) I love your work, and your family's work! Please keep it up :3
Ronnie, Ive wanted to master the complex art of parkour for years but my father never approved of it and is taking away my passion and dream. What would you recomend I do? Thanks
This gives me hope. I've always thought that countrymen like me are screwed because we have nothing really elaborate and big to jump around with, but now I can just run in any direction and go up the trees, yaaay. Also, love how you do an epic 3 minute speech about parkour and then end the video by walking down a little hill...
My friend, Parkour is a lot about progression. You don't progress if you don't start somewhere. I started a Parkour Training Program with my friends, where we trained at a public park. For the first few practices we had at that park, people showed absolutely no interest as we had just started out. As time went on, we improved and so did our techniques. People came to notice and now whenever we go to this park...people remembered us and we gained a new found respect through our progression.
Hi Ronnie, if you don't have a local parkour club, what should you do? I know that I watch all of your videos but I am a little too shy to train outside in front of people! Can you please give me some advice? Thanks
Ronnie I am having the same problem as jarretnahm5 what should I do ? my dad knows that its what I want to do. He thinks that I will end up getting hurt. All I simply started with was learning the simple roll but he thought THE ROLL was dangerous! help? Thank You
friend since you do not mind your not taking into account that people will watch or mock these proving to be mature and you want to learn and that is the first step I believe to be a parkour it call mentality.... truth ronnie
I have always loved parkour in nature alot better than in the city. it feels better to me. Even when i was younger before i knew what parkour was. I always climbed trees and rock walls. i use to jump to rock to rock. doing it now brings me back to when i was a kid
Australia, actually, but very much the same I suppose! Not a lot of big trees to jump around in. There are mediumish forests outside of town that I could practice in, but the rocky landscape and occasional gorge of this area seem promising :) In town its basically the same thing too. Maybe get to the roof of the local mall and you'd be the highest you can be. And with cops so scarce here... I guess there's really nowhere you'd not be able to go. :) I definitely feel your pain though.
75% desert but if your near Perth its just big thick dense bush, near Banbury its forrest. i live close to the wheat belt so i just see lost of open grass lands and thick bush :/ and trust me you and me both know that you don't want to do parkour in the bush because of snakes and the density XD
Find a training budy, when I began doing parkour I also felt a little silly but after a few weeks the feeling goes away. Doing this is easier with a friend. Don´t hold your dreams, fight for them.
your lucky, im from the country my self but where i live the trees are very small and thick then i have stupid grass lands that offer me nothing the only place i can do it is very small town where there are basket ball courts out side. Im guessing your from America id love to have that kind of natural environment! :(
You are awesome i also thinking that the human lost the connection of nature and movement i am 13 years old and i started doing parkour like a monotheïstische ago and i can already climb and do alot of things only here in the netherlands it is kinda hard to find good spots and stuff
I would really appreciate if someone suggested places that I could train parkour in coz there aren't places that I could that I know I could around me. Thanks in advance
after i watch this, now i have the understanding of parkour because first i thought it was just an urban extreme sports but now, its like "be one with the nature" thanks ronnie, this helps me realize the "parkour" *thumbs up
Hahahahaha yeah, no joke :D Went for a jog on the outskirts of town one morning and managed to dodge 4 snakes in my path in the span of ten seconds. Just though, "nope", got in the car and drove away ;) Perhaps theres some cliffy kind of areas around you? :O At any rate, living that close to a city is lucky enough. The city lessons are a big help.
Kind of in the same situation it seems then :) In relativity to a city at least, never been out in WA and know nothing about the terrain. Maybe, desert comes to mind? D:

You are absolutely right... and inspiring....
I didn't mention this in the video, but animals are a great example of how the nature of parkour works.
Ronnie you understand the whole thing! Very nice video! Easy to understand but also very deep and inspiring! Good job! I love your video. I learned a lot from you.

The beautiful thing about humans and all other living organisms is our mutual ability to adapt.
