Proud owner of a GBxCart Mini RW v1.0 ! Dumped my original Pokémon Crystal, my old Bootlegged Yellow, every old multi cart i have. Sadly Inside Gadgets stopped shipping to my country. But i very recommend getting stuff from them ! They are very cool ! Read the manuals as well !
GBxCart v1.4a Pro is the best cart reader so far, I just purchase it couple month ago, it works very well the only reason I purchase original one is because the shipping cost to Indonesia is kinda cheap I understand why people (me also) still buy clone one, nothing to blame... peace✌
The problem with original "products" becomes clear to those who do not live in the USA. Some countries do not ship them, or the postage costs as much as three gadgets.
I mean, the original is shipped from Australia, not the US, so this point isn't really relevant here. It's also a really poor attitude to have towards creators trying to sell their original works.
I'm not sure if there's any official UK resellers, but There's Australia and USA shops, so one of them should be able to ship to you without too much cost.
Yeah. Living outside the 'main' countries makes it evident that sometimes you just can't buy the original products, no matter how much you want it. Maybe you want to enjoy games, while still eating at the same time. And it's no exaggeration.
I never got this argument. If you had a car, would you rather be driving around on Michelin/Firestone/reputable-brand tires that cost more but gives you a warranty and after-sales support, or would you buy a set of Tiger Paws/Ling Longs because they were $20 cheaper per tire, but proceeds to hydroplane into the nearest tree when the sky thinks about raining? Likewise, if you're buying a dumper to dump your ROMs and save files to keep forever, why would you cheap out? It might cost ~$30 more, but iG makes quality products, stands by their items, AND you will more than likely receive something that works out of the box, versus what Makho received with this clone. So when all is said and done, not only will you have spent ~$40 on a clone that doesn't work, you now have the choice of spending an additional ~$40 + months waiting on another clone that hopefully arrives working, or you spend the ~$50 it costs for a real GBx. Would you rather spend ~$50 upfront once to get the GBx, or spend ~$40 for a clone + ~$50 for a GBx = ~$90 in total, because you wanted to save a few bucks? If you have time to waste and money to burn, clones are great fun. If you want something that works properly reliably, they are nightmares. Also as a reminder, it's technically illegal to label items you buy as $1 gifts. (Aka how Chinese sellers get around customs' taxes.)
The principal problem is shipping costs. If I buy a original one i pay around 35 dollars only in shipping and clone a lot of options are free shipping. That's the only difference I see
IIRC that purple USB cable is a knockoff of Huawei's old fast charging cables. I had a Mate 20 Pro that came with a similar-looking purple cable, haven't seen any non-Huawei cables with purple internals since (other than this video lol.)
Curious to know what your thoughts were on epilogues product? If you talked about it before forgive me and show me where I can find your comments on it.
Also not Makho, but I have the GB Operator and have yet to have an issue with it. Not sure exactly how important the software having a built in emulator actually is in the grand scheme of things, but it's neat. The hardware looks good and the software is easy to use. No complaints at all from me. Dumped well over 100 carts without issue if the cart was clean.
What is hotswapping? I had no idea that button was important I totally forgot about it and covered it with a clear shell😂 I always just disconnect then unplug the gbxcart before I remove a cartridge from it
Makho I need help. Working on my first slate kit. My childhood gameboy needed a battery replacement so I used the battery kit you make. I was unable to get the gameboy to switch on before and after. I cleaned the power switch and their is no noticeable corrosion. I cleaned the ports for charging. I am not able to get consistent charging and I can’t get it to turn on. The green light will turn on if I have the switch on and have it plugged it but then will cut off after a second. This is my gameboy i have owned since it was new and has never suffered water damage and is in relatively great condition. I tested the battery with a voltmeter so I know it’s good and the PCB it’s soldered too is good. Really not sure what to do. Any help is greatly appreciated
Did you check the fuses with the voltmeter and make sure they're good? I've heard you can fry one if you plug in the battery backwards. There's 2 fuses on the SP's board I believe, make sure both are working
@@inclinerd checked both of those and had no problem. I just uploaded a RUclips short showing the problem off. Very weird. I can only get the console to boot with it plugged in at a specific angle. Will turn off if I remove cord. Full battery with green light
@@youdontknowenough9059 Hmm. You probably already tried this but does the Makho battery work in another SP? And vice versa, does a working OEM battery work in your problem SP? I would also try using a microscope/your phone's zoom to inspect around the motherboard, power switch, and charging port to look for anything out of place (like solder bridges or knocked off capacitors), especially around the areas that have been soldered. Maybe you could post a RUclips short of the front + back of the board (and if you assembled the Makho battery yourself instead of buying a pre-built, I'd include that too).
gbxcart compatibility is heaps better and it's a lot cheaper. It does everything the GBO does and then some except come in a plastic injection molded housing.

the ''original'' clone of the GBXCart called the ''flash boy cyclone'' has a onboard physical switch to switch between GBA and GBC carts, personally i been using it for some time now becuase i don't want to pay custom fees to get the original GBXCart, custom fees + taxes in Europe make the GBXcart almost double the price.
Its funny I always say when I buy the real product before I get it I say, ahh I spent too much and when I get it I say how do they make any money off this is better quality then what I paid for. Take for example I bought two Slate kits when they first launched with the anticipation of selling one of them. It was just too nice of a thing I keeped both of them at the end.
Well i think from a functional perspective mine works fine. (Could Dump all my GB games from original Gameboy to GBA.). It had a much cheaper device case (Just some pvc standoffs with a clear acrylic sheet about 2mm thick and a sticker on the inner side.) I think the hardware it self works ok but for real the stm32 based are much faster since they don't have to bit/byte bang everything. (The stm32 has a free configurable parralell interface to wich is perfect to interface with the cartridges. The MCU used in this has multiple 8 bit gpio units. (You can write 8bit at once to one unit.)

Removing or inserting the cart while powered. The button powers off the cart but so too does just unplugging the whole unit.

With a legit GBxCart RW, yes, you can read and write saves from and to any GBA cart.
