I'm a huge CJ Stroud guy. He may have a bit of a struggle in 2023 but that says more about the team and situation than it does about Stroud. He is going to be a great NFL quarterback and fairly soon. With that said, mentioning Joe Burrow as being in the same situation based on his receivers doesn't seem accurate, considering Burrow has won an SEC Championship, a national championship and the Heisman Trophy. If you look at the overall productivity and numbers CJ Stroud is not quite up to par with Joe Burrow, even with the weapons at both of their disposals. That "comparison" seemed like using stats or information to make a narrative fit. This is coming from a big CJ Stroud fan. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Burrow.

The dude bombed the S2 cognition test lol everyone who has done well on that test has had success in the NFL. You need to be able to make adjustments and read defensive coverages as an NFL QB. @@anti-classist injury prone? He missed like 2 games his entire career lol. NFL is catering to QBs with the new rules so he’s rarely going to get hurt and yes the test matters.. the only player to score as high as Bryce did is Josh Allen, Joe Burrow and Pat Mahomes. You need to be insanely intelligent to be a successful NFL QB. CJ can’t read a defense which is why he scored so low on that test.

@@TechPanther7 that test just measures how good you take that test... that's it... Bryce Young getting hurt in college it's inly going to increase at the next level, and he'll have problems getting the ball over the o and d line. Young is overrated...
You listed those 3 QBs and left off iq wise the one of the smartest of the QBs in Justin Herbert... as I said the test only tests how well you take a test. These bull shit tests don't measure anything really. That's why I hate standardized tests... they are dedicated to certain class and type of person every time.
I think Stroud is more raw than Young... but that's because he is self taught something Young had a leg up on... I think it's obvious who has more grit... in Stroud as he already had far more to overcome. If you never been to the area he's from it's pretty rough.
Injury wise size wise... and his style of play... he ain't built to last. Sorry but all Bama QBs are overrated... don't worry I usually feel that way about OSU QBs too.... I think Stroud is a little different based on what he had to overcome historically.

i'll say the same thing when he walked out of the tunnel for his first start - stroud's not the guy. he was barely tested and struggled in almost every scenario he was tested. we all forgetting he had the most talented offense in the country and struggled against a bottom 100 struggle. georgia played their worst game against him in year two and wasn't enough because he wasn't the guy. michigan dumped on him twice and wasn't a very good team. we forget that week #1 he rolled out to a overranked and b tier notre dame team and struggled....that team lost to marshal a week later. we forget that maryland's offense struggled and still that game came down to a late 4th and down int by the defense. maryland. he's a jv hero. he has a beautiful throw and when the play goes as planned he can point and click drop it where it needs to go. if they're in shorts and shoulder pads playing 5v3 and everyone's going 70% he's a god. but he has no grit. he does not will his way to winning. idk if he faced any dominate defenses in his entire leauge schedule. dude flakes. receiving core was god tier. see y'all in 4 years when he's playing arena ball and y'all say sheeeesh i never said he was good. will probably make a great mechanics coach or qb coach one day.

Ehhhh, define "arm talent." Little known fact (to casuals): Stroud's arm is a lot stronger than Young's and he's actually more accurate. Yes, Bryce's release and field vision are tremendous. But it's not like across the board "Young is better, but he's just really small." His arm strength is actually really mid- at best for the NFL and it will probably limit him (at least somewhat) in the NFL against bigger, better, faster DBs.
