Fuse F 13 chassis module, freightliner, fuel water separator heater failure

- Truck had light issues and fuse for chassis module in PDM kept blowing when ignition turned on. Found melted wiring on rear tail light and replaced chassis module. Lights began working, but fuse F 13 was still popping. Traced bulkhead and chassis module connectors and pins on diagram and found the fuel water separator heater causing the chassis module fuse to pop.

You ever figure it out? Same problem right now with fuse 13 and 19. Vbat1 and 3 shorted to ground

Not sure if there is one. I’d have to look at your particular fuse box. Don’t think I can give you an answer without looking at it. Bring it to me and I’ll figure it out for you.

My freightliner m2 2013 tail light not working and i did check all the fuses are working. What could be the issue? Any suggestions helpful.
Did you check if you are getting power at the light? Could be a bad light?
It’s probably the connector at the chassis Module. I’ve dealt with this many times there is one connector that is always loose on it. Tug on all your connectors and see if one just falls out. Can’t remember what number the connector is. Good luck! Chassis module is under the cab. Above the def tank if your m2 is a tractor. If it’s a bomb tail it’s the module above the batteries.

Did that completely fix the issues
On this occasion the chassis module had gone bad as well. So, I had to replace the chassis module and the fuel water separator heater as well, but I have had this issue again and just replacing the heater solved it.

I am having the same problem stop light not coming on when step on the break. Also, the cruise control doesn’t go off when u stop on the break while driving
Sounds like probably a brake switch issue. What year and make is your truck?
Im having a issue with my rear light. When i step on the brake it does nothing. Left works. When i put on the right turn signal, it does nothing, left side does work. Light is good. Turns on woth the running lights. But thats it.
