- Alright - I know that Infinity Train Book 2 just ended, but I’m already dying to know what’s going to happen next season. I was pleasantly surprised by what they chose to expand on between seasons one and two, and I NEED to know which characters and throughlines they’ll choose to focus on next. I’m Whitney Van Laningham, and here’s what you can expect to see in Infinity Train Season 3.

Another question: when does the train decide to pick someone up? Like, some people get a really high number that piled up over time. But some people (like Jessie) are picked up pretty fast. Also, do people get PTSD from the train? It seems like a lot of people were on the train, so do people talk about it? Is there a group chat or support group for people who were on the train?
In a reddit AMA held right after book 2 finished airing Owen answered that people are picked up by the train when they've arrived at a "crossroads" aka a point in life where they're gonna head down a potentially bad path if their issue isn't fixed.
So for Tulip this was her wandering off into the wild in the winter for game-design camp and probably dying from hypothermia if she didn't turn back. Amelia seemed to be heading towards the university roof to jump off and commit suicide over her grief from Alrick's death and for Jesse potentially going as far as hurting people he cares about to fit in (not as immediately bad as Tulip's or Amelia's path but still bad in the long run)

I really hope season 3 explores the morality of the train as a concept in the first place. It seems like an exciting adventure, but you could really die on this or be doomed to a life of endless cars and never fix the issues that got you there in the first place. One-One is putting *children* in real danger in order to help solve their problems. I think they should really explore this.

@@orangemonks894 I mean unless the baby was with a parent or sibling, I don't see that happening. People end up on the train for emotional baggage, but an infant won't have emotional baggage. Unless the train has a way to know when someone has another human with them though, that could still possibly be an issue again with a parent or a sibling.

@@KalinTheZola The reason why a lot of people apply this theory or one similar is due to when both Tulip and Amelia were picked up by the train. Tulip was travelling on her own in the middle of winter, with little to no sign of shelter and not even fully dressed to handle the weather, which in itself isn't even a guarantee against the cold. She could've easily gotten pneumonia or froze to death, barring that something or someone else didn't get her first. We can even see her getting tired on the journey, travelling 300 miles on foot trying to reach the camp. Something would've happened to her during that time had the train not picked her up. In Amelia's case, people believe she might've been trying to commit suicide. This is because of the weight Alrick's death had on her and the fact that she's picked up from the roof of the university, which she may have been planning to throw herself off of. (Granted, she sees the rooftop disappear first before she goes up there.) It may be less of a purgatory situation and more of a case where people are close to ending/crossing a point of no return in their own lives, so the train picks them up before that happens--in the very least giving them a chance they wouldn't otherwise have.
Personally I liked to think season 3 starts with the Apex find a pod and "liberate" a person aka the new protagonist.
Maybe what's next is the protagonist warm up to them cos his/ her previous life was a bully but quickly change his/ her way upon seeing the Apex actions. Also maybe there is a member of the Apex that "wanted out" and may help the protagonist so he/ she doesn't fall into the same trap that person did!
Lastly I liked to think Alan Dracula could make cameo used to Oneone saying it is his greatest creation.

I think it would be kinda interesting if the next main character would be a perso born on the train (their parents being passengers, maybe one of those who dont know they have to lower their number), which would go well with the theme of the mc not always being a passenger, like I think this season it was MT
Was thinking what would happen if there was someone like that as it raises the question: would that child not have a number and would they be able to leave the train and go to earth to live a normal life or would they remain stuck on the train forever (probably by choice).
@@masc6287 I was thinking the same thing. And if her parents were part of the apex, they might resent her for not having a number, which would lead to her desperatly wanting a number just to get it really high.
Not sure apex is stable enough to have childern. Find lost kids and pull a Peter pan for sure... But realtionships? A group focused on raising their number which represents how many issues or how large their issues are?
Not sure anything healthy would come from that relationship even without questioning the born baby theory.
@@qwefg3 Really depends if the Apex is the only group of rogue passengers since it is a long train and there could be other people forming groups for their own reasons, like living on the train being easier than living in the real world due to real world problems making the train a more attractive home.

Infinity Train does its job well. It answered questions but those answers lead to more questions. The technology is a bright point for me. Using analog video tapes to record memory, but cars that act like holodecks. And way can't passengers learn their lessons in their original car. In Book 1, I thought that's why the robot insisted Tulip return, that the solution to leaving the train was back in car one.
We also don't know if the denizens are train created or not. MT and the mirror police acted like they existed well beyond the Chrome Car. MT had memories of Tulip visiting places beyond the train. And Mace had a prime, but not anymore. Could the other denizens be lving beings and not just constructs?
In book 1, the Steward was controlled by Amelia, who is hostile towards all people. She doesn’t want anyone to interfere with her plans and so the steward would naturally say something like “Return to your seat” which would really mean “go back to where you came from and don’t interfere”
As for denizens, Lake, Sieve, and Mace probably did exist prior to the train, however their physical form was probably created by the train. Denizens are created by the train as seen in Book 1, but the origins of creating a denizen is still unknown.
There's no reason why you cant solve your problems in your starting cart but most of the time it would be easier to reflect on your decisions through different situations and people. I think this is somehow a part of how people get into the train, by remaining in the same place not changing to get better. In a way progressing through the train can be a goal for people like how tulip viewed it and through the constant change and challenges presented she was able to quickly reflect on her problems instead of staying in place for example I don't think she would've opened up to her parents if she didn't go to the chrome car or the crystal car
This show is a lot deeper than I thought it was
I want to see Lake adapting to her new life with Jesse but I also want to see more of Apex...maybe they will split their time between two different plot lines? I'd also love more lore on how the train works and whether it's a good or bad thing in general (because we have seen some questionable stuff). It's not what they've done before, but that doesn't mean they couldn't make it work. I get the sense that we'll move on to someone new, but I'll be sad if we never get to see Lake and Jesse again. There's so much left in their story to tell.
I don't think we need to have a plot centered around them, but maybe an episode centered on what all the passengers that left the train would be great. I imagine that they would do that as a series finale at least.
Yeah! I want to know how the heck Lake blends in with the rest of society- she's obviously not going to want to hide around in Jesse's basement or something, what is she going to do?
Maybe the next protagonist could be one of Jesses friends?
That way we could gather some intel on what Lake and Jesse are up to.
It would also work great with the Apex, as knowing that one of the "Nulls" escaped into the real world would probably prompt some interesting reactions from them, and having the protagonist know about the train beforehand could be interesting to watch.
I have so many questions about the Book 2 ending. Is Tulip gonna see MT (renamed Lake) or how will Mt fit in the real world?
Assuming Tulip exists in the same world of course. I suspect that the Infinity Train could potentially connect to infinite realities to help people. As for how she fits in, I dunno if exploring Lake's story would be a good idea here. Since it'd take focus away from the titular Infinity Train and its many passengers, denizens and weird cars.
@@tonts5329 , I agree that it would be a bad idea to focus the book around that, but there are still other ways to explore what happens to them. Maybe someone who has seen them appears on the train
I know this sounds crazy but hear me out. What if Amelia finds the old man that we saw when Lake took his pod? Maybe they both suffered from a loss and they can help each other get out of the train!
Owen Denis has stated that if Amelia encountered any other passengers she be hostile if not then passive aggressive towards everyone. She wants to do her own thing on her own. (This actually may be her problem tho - so maybe they would find some common ground)

That discussion question at the end about the supposed captivity of the train’s inhabitants, I honestly feel they aren’t TRULY captive.
I mean, the train is a collection of universes for them to live in. They are free to do as they please and go to whatever cars they want. Like The Cat, she has gone to various cars, and she’s a pretty big asshole 80% of the time she’s on screen.
One-One may not be completely perfect, and had an existential crisis when Lake wanted to leave (for all we know, she was probably the first denizen of the train to desire leaving), but he isn’t a monster.
Even if Lake was the first denizen who ever wanted to leave, One-One was pretty callous toward her. Also, did he design every car on the train? Including the one where you have to kick the toad to leave?

Though it is a little hard to speculate on his morality since One-One has two different personalities.
@@rodrickgoldberg2324 Interesting; your theory about the toad car never occurred to me before. It might be cool to see One-One get a number and be forced to grow as a person (if that's the right word) from the train. Are you familiar with "Dungeons & Dragons"? Perhaps One-One is what that game would call "Lawful Neutral" or "Lawful Neutral/Lawful Evil" (meaning Lawful Neutral with evil tendencies).
I think I just realized something. Remember that easter egg at the beginning of season 1, when Tulip wakes up. We basically see the conductor's head (or Amelia's mech suit if you prefer) hiding behind a tree. What if that wasn't the mech suit but rather just the pod that brought Tulip on the train ? That means she waked up after the pod leaved her, without One-One in command there's no one to tell you the rules. I feel like there are still a lot of mysteries to uncover about the train, I hope season 3 will bring more answers ! Overall, season 2 was as good as the first season, which was kinda unexpected considering the contrasts between the two arcs.

Book Three : Take Back The Train (focuses on The Apex and Amelia)
Book Four : In Control (focuses on a passenger with a Jekyll & Hyde sorta problem)
Book Five : Truth Be Told (focuses on the story of the train)

The main antagonist could probably be a result of Apex's actions on the train and it will catch up with them in Book 3. As Mordo from Doctor Strange said, "The bill comes due always."
I do like this idea. One-One designing a creature to essentially give these kids a kick in the pants and to grow up and progress. Doling out some form of karmic retribution for their treatment of the denizens.

I wanna know where the moledog cockroach things- why would the train have something that kinda kills people? Are they natural? Maybe they're just to make sure people don't dwell in the wastelands

My idea
For Book 3 it should be about one of the Apex Kids who’ll be the main character wanting to leave the train but then he or she runs into two passengers that are twins and they work together to get out
I think the Old man will be the main focus, mostly as the 'Missing Passenger', his backstory probably wont be the main focus so much as him interacting with other passengers will be. I can see him staying with Lizard girl so as to not leave a child on her own and then running into the Apex who would view his 'numberless' hand and think he is a 'null' and try to convince lizard girl he isn't a real person. It could be a sobering moment for many of the Apex if they found out they harmed an actual human and questioning their actions so far, and while I don't think they can take down Apex in one season I think they can rescue some of them and get them back on the right track.

I think I have a theory
I think Amiliea is going to be the main character, and instead of just one passenger, we are having two passengers. One that is part of the Apex that is a newbi that found their "conductor" but notices she isn't what they made her out to be and learn that the way the Apex is doing is wrong, similar to like Samurai Jack with Ashi. The two will have a mother and daughter/son relationship and the two begin to learn to grow and help one another in some sort of way. The deer may be coming into play or we might have new or no companions, but we have to wait and see.
Fingers crossed we get Book 4 and see the mother-child thing play out.
I still wondering what life will be like now for MT (Lake) and Jesse, that I hope be explored more.

I think Book 3 will center around a new passenger "a course" or probably will be about one of the members of the Apex from The Mall Cart wanting to leave the group and the train, I'm hoping for Alan Dracula to return in Book 3.
I think nearly all the denizens are okay with being on the train, only wanting a car change at most, like the road. The reason being they don't know about the earth at all. Lake had memories of life on earth because she was with tulip since tulip was born so she shared experiences.
Book 3 will definitely focus more on the origins of Grace and the Apex. Also, can we say that the season two finale was downright shocking?

One crazy theory - In season 2 episode 9, Oneone said that "the Tape Car is the only car where the universe is projected on the outside". If the Tape Car is the only car where the universe is projected on the outside, does that mean that the wasteland itself is the projection of the Tape Car.
This is an interesting proposal actually. It would also explain why denizens can’t go too far outside the bounds of the Wasteland.
I personally would like it better if the wasteland were left as independent of the train and keeping it as symbolic as desolation, but your theory holds up

it could be based on how far you are away from solving your problem rather than the severity of the problem tho.
Infinity Train book 3 could be about a new passenger, Tulips life after escaping, or Mirror tulip after escaping.

The train appears to those who are running away from their problems, I hope the apex is set straight. I love this premise of a time loop parallel where carts are made with things to help you. (I totally believe the golden block room with the floaty water guy was specifically for Jessie.) I understand why someone would want to stay but not in the “apex” way but like live in the “Italy” car and just help people and feel fulfilled. Oneone should punish the flecs though, they were tearing apart trains and in the tape car.
I would like to see new characters helping the train like a ticket master that is a new introduction to the train or a train engineer or firemen( the guy who puts coal in old trains)
Yeah, it would be cool if Oneone or his creators decided to outsource these roles to ex passengers who understood the train and it's function.
MASC the ticket master will act like a tutorial and help passages though there first car. The engineer builds the new cars, the fireman fuels everything

I think we might see Jesse and Lake again or at least Lake because I'm not sure she'll be able to get away with tricking One-One like that.
One I think will happen is approaching the idea that your number isn’t some kind of compass. Jesse sometimes used the number as the only metric as what was right and wrong, but eventually stopped. So, that might be explored: people who use the number as the only metric, without ever learning.

I'd really like to see the main characters from the first two seasons re-introduced to the story in some way at some point. This gives us a peek into how their lives have been since the train, and gives us the chance to see how they would interact. What would happen if Tulip saw Lake wandering about in her world?
Honestly what I am expecting is that one-one realizes that the apex will be planning to over throw him and so he contacts his old friends and passengers, Tulip, MT, Jesse and Allan Dracula to come help him maintain the order of the train and try to convince them to learn and return back to their families. Honestly that would be a great and very interesting season
I agree with your theory that The Apex may be the new villains of Season 3. Like you said, they pretty much believe that everyone and everything on that train that doesn't have a number like them is a waste of space and that they can do whatever they want. Plus, it won't be long before they try to overthrow One-One themselves just like Amelia!

I think maybe in the third season it’ll have siblings where they’re into there because of a huge dispute, I don’t know of what but let’s say the two got into a really heated fight that caused them to get into an actual real fight, which has happened many times throughout their life, if you’re reading this I hope you get what I mean and can see where Im going with this, while one of the siblings sees being with The Apex is better and the other sees that The Apex are wrong and tries to go off on their own, as the episodes go on we alternate between the two eventually getting to the end where unfortunately only one sibling ends up getting out while the other is stuck on the train and doesn’t know how to get off
One small correction: The Apex doesn't actually seem to know about Amelia as a person and about her number, since Grace remarks that she herself has the highest number and never speaks about Amelia as a passenger, neither does she call her by name. And there was probably no formal exile PSA so to the Apex it likely just looked like some random robot started calling himself the Conductor and that the, to them, REAL Conductor was gone. And because Amelia likely gave zero fucks about actually teaching anyone anything, Grace had to have no idea what the numbers mean and just somehow figured that a high number means being set in one's ways and thus strong.
I thought of something interesting they could do for book 3. Maybe, there's two different passengers who meet each other on the train and they try to help each other lower their number. Then, part way through the season, the find out their issues are connected in some way (whether directly or indirectly).

Perhaps the villain is the creator of the Train, who might be a "Complete Monster".
there is a possibility the third season will focus more on world building about the train,the train got damaged during the last episode,so maybe we will see the train from the perspective of a technician,also there may be other "cops"in the train who enforce the rules.
after all we know that rules in the train exist but we don't know who is making them.
i doubt if one-one is the maker of the rules,he does not seem inteligent enough to create rules.
i wonder if there are other people in the train that hold some kind of power like one-one does.
In season 3, I wish that the story of tulip and mirror tulip continue
I think book 3 could focus on tulip and lake meeting in the same world then some imbalance happens when they touch which takes them back to the infinity train.There we will meet Amelia who by now made progress and emotionally grew so yeah she will try to convince the apecks that what they are doing is wrong and we will probably know why they are doing this and obviously one one will be making more appearances and so will Atticus plus Allen Dracula could be in one episode cause Jesse will tag along and I don’t think the creators will add that much characters to the season 3 team
I actually think that One-One will never get ripped out again. He doesn’t stay in the control panel, he just stays in the Stewart.
I wanted to know the implications of lake being sent to the real world similarly how I wondered how tulip lacking a reflection would be. Do you think they’ll get together again and have meet ups or something?
I really strongly believe the main protaganist is gonna be Grace sorta as an antihero until she realizes her misconceptions about the train. She was on the train with no help from anyone like One-one's video and the only path to follow was Amelia, the conductor. She was shown to still be really kind and sympathetic in the 2nd season with a lot of other attributes for a really interesting main character, she is simply just misguided. Im pretty sure the 3rd books gonna focus on her journey to correct the apex group she made and it has so much potential and ways it could go aaaaaaa
You got your wish. How do you feel?
Another few questions:
1- What happens if passengers clears their number but decides to stay on the train;
2- What would happen if two passengers had a child on the train, would that child not have a number and would they be able to leave the train an return to earth and live a normal life or would they remain on the train forever;
3- How much time passes in the train when compared to the outside would and does it act like a time machine and return passengers roughly around the time they boarded the train;
4- Since the exit that returns them is some sort of teleporter that deconstructs then reconstructs passengers going to and from the train, would they return at the age they boarded the train or return at the age they left the train.
5- Why does the Steward and front of the train have guns; does that mean that there is stuff outside or on the train besides passengers that create the need for these weapons and who are they meant to defend against.
1. they just stay and their portal stay open on the cart they got to zero on, we saw tullip do that in season 1
2. people don't age on the train from what we've seen so its unlikely they would be able to have a child
3. I'm pretty sure its a 1:1 based off what we've seen with Jessie at the end of season 2
4. pretty sure they don't age on the train
5. The demon-dogs and it could be an invention of the bad guy from season 1 who made those to control her place on the train
Simon correction - people DO age on the train - the mother/baby question has been asked in the ama and it’s been confirmed that the baby would have no number but would probably get a 0 from one-one
Time passes the same in the real world as the train, you return as old as you are on the train
Also the ghoms (the evil cockroach things) were not created by Amelia - they are the natural inhabitants of the Wasteland
Also, you have a good point. If Mirror Tulip wanted to be her own person and leave the train with Jesse (which she succeeded in doing), then it's quite possible other native inhabitants of the Infinity Train will want and try to do the same as well. If that happens, I have a feeling The Cat might end up being one of them. Besides, even though they were created by the train, they all clearly are living beings with feelings too.
The way I think of it, MT/Lake was a special case, the denizens of the train were probably basically coded not to want to leave, however Lake already existed, the train was just the only way to free her, she already had different ambitions than other denizens, the only denizen who crossed cars was The Cat, whos been hinted to know more than we’ve seen
My take on it is that the Mirror people have a different form of sentience or awareness that other denizens don't have seeing as the reflections follow the beings they reflect wherever they go. Their existence goes beyond that of the train and thus they have another dimension to their character that other denizens don't have. Just my take on it :)
Why not book 3 we have no new protagist but a team up of lake, jesse tuilup atticus and a.d. to stop apex from contolling the train when that attack one one. A short 6 episode run then a 8 episode run of three new characters of on a new adventure.

Honestly, I would really like to see Tulip find some reason to get back on the train. Perhaps one of her friends has some kind of problem and finds themselves boarding the train. Tulip know that their friend has a problem and seeing them get on motivates her to also hop aboard, but she would have to find them first once she wakes up. I just want more Tulip in my life.
Sorry - this is an anthology series. No more tulip, lake, or Jesse as a protagonist (maybe some cameos as like pictures)

What I think would make season 3 great is if it does something that could affect the train as a whole: what if we get a character that's a direct descendant of the conductor of the infinity train with each episode dealing with the themes of moving on from the past and changing things in order make them better for everyone with the finale leading up to the train stopping at its destination? I feel like something like that would be a great way to end the series or to set up a TV movie prequel that explains who founded/ built the Infinity train.
I love the fact that One-One is basically GLaDOS/Wheatley now.
While im not sure about Season 3, I do hope they touch on people after they leave the train. we already had 'The Train Documentaries' between seasons 1&2, it would be cool to have something similar for the real world, like the aftermaths of Tulip and Jesse first getting home, or Lake calling Tulip to say she got off the train.
It could even be done sorta men-in-black style, with the government monitoring those they suspect of coming back from the train. I mean, with how many people we saw 'in process' at the end of book 2, the amount of people the train takes would be noticeable, especially when those who go missing suddenly reappear all talking about being on an impossible train.
I also want to know who created the train and One-One. Is Book 3 confirmed?
Maybe next season will focus on learning to let toxic freinds go and forcing people to respect your boundaries no matter what. And before anyone says this, no this was not jesses problem, jesse was a people pleaser who needed to learn to care for himself. Anyway, I think this problem will be shown with our new protagonist meeting grace, maybe their pod was damaged and one-ones video message about how the train works didnt play for them. Protag meets Grace, who provides answers to them and Protag trusts them and sees them as a friend after a friendly display from grace. Our Protag becomes one of the apex, not exactly feeling right about what their doing to denisens but grace over and over again will reassure to them that what they are doing is right and the nulls dont have feelings anyway, not acknowledging the protag feels uncomfortable by this and wants to stop. Protag would befriend a null eventually, maybe in a situation where they are seperated from the apex, and learns that nulls are just like them and have feelings too. They also learn that grace lied to them about the numbers, maybe even grace was the one who screwed up the pod. It would then focus on Protag returning to the apex and in a final confrontation telling grace that what she did was wrong and that they werent comfortable with what they were being forced to do, Protag wasnt shown respect when they showed discomfort and learns that grace isnt a good friend and cuts her off. This would reduce protags number to zero and they would get to go home
Other questions I want answered are will the new protagonist be someone completely new and will the final book bring all of the protagonists of each book together?

what if dead lizard girl is Grace's sister? if book 3 does focus on Grace, maybe a combination of Amelia's disapproval and Grace trying to convert her sister to the Apex (which i feel like wouldn't work) could help her come to her senses? Then maybe Amelia, Grace, and LizardSister could be the new crew?
You were pretty close with this prediction.
Honestly, I wouldn't even be mad if we didn't see the train at all in book 3. I would love to spend some time exploring the ramifications of Lake entering the real world, and how she deals with life in general.
Lake's exit also raises a question, however; will other denizens try to leave the train? If so, will one-one let them go, or will they have to fight for it like Lake did? Will they find other work-arounds in the system to let them leave?
Also, I'd really like to see Lake get back on the train as a passenger and have to get her number down, because I strongly believe that her character arc isn't quite finished yet. I mean, she did kill Mace (not sure if Sieve's death counts, since that was technically Alan Dracula's doing), so she probably still has some stuff to work on. She also may not immediately adjust to life outside the train, and start resisting change, as many passengers do; which results in her being picked up by the train as a passenger.
But that's just my thoughts.
Fun video: I would like to know more about who or what created this train in the first place and, because I'm a sucker for 'Third Party Villains' or 'Bigger Bads', see what happens if a non-human threat from outside the train enters it, like some alien villain wanting the train's amazing technology for him / her / itself. Also, the barley seen Business Father whose number from quite high: I think he might make for a good supporting character like a Scrooge type figure seeking redemption.
One thing I hope they explore is when lake went to the maker car (where people get their number) One-One mentions that the Maker car is the only car that projects its universe on the out side. If that’s true then the train its self and the world it is located in is its own train car. So where is this train car located?
I wonder what's up with the desert outside the train. If someone disembarked and walked through the desert far enough, could they eventually find a whole other world of people out there? Are there other terrain types beyond the desert and/or entire cities out there somewhere, or is it just empty desert forever?
Also, are all the passengers from the same world as Tulip, or is there an entire multiverse with people from all over it stepping into the train?
I'm also curious about the mirror police. Do they have a society of their own, or do they chase down rogue reflections like Lake 24/7? Are there primes who choose to live in the mirror world and if so, do the mirror cops go after them as well? Do any mirror cops decide to go rogue because they don't want to do that job anymore?

I hope that we see Jesse, his little brother Alan, and MT (Lake) again in season 3. Why does Grace and Amelia numbers keep going up? Do they want to stay on the train? Will we find out more about Grace background for season 3?
I feel like in the next season the main character is gonna be the girl with a dead lizard. And Apex gang are gonna bring her number up to a really high score. But at the end thins gang is gonna realise that they were doing it all wrong and, also, we are gonna know the story of that girl with number sleeve
compleing theroy but there was one thing at the end of season 2 that should also also be explored more and could be a compleing theme for a final episode, when one-one was contemplin how to get Jesse off the train the train started falling apart showing that one-one is connected to the train physically, this should be a detail explored more in depth
Also where did Atticus go after season 1 they never showed him going back to his car
And what is the deal with the wasteland in the wasteland episode it showed you can only go so far before you are stopped by an invisable force meaning you can't just jump off the train and leave

People are blaming One-one for things happened in the train. One-one may even be a denizen. Think him like a boss of a place. But not the owner of the place. When Jesse returned the train he(or they) stucked in a loop. Which means he has to follow some procedures in order to train get the job done. Having a program/purpose means there is something greater than you and that is the one who gives your purpose to you. Conductor is also a denizen I think, we can just blame the creater of the train for all this.

Did it seem odd to anyone else that Tulip's dad couldn't take her to camp before she got on the train but then did when she got back? Also she assumed at one point that she'd missed camp from being on the train so long. Can the train drop you off at an earlier point in the normal world's timeline than the point you left? And if so, is there any limit to how far out of time it could drop you off? Like could someone potentially step into the train in 2020 and then come back home in 2019, for example? Or can they only go back a few days or weeks?

Here's a thought, if one-one's mother is the train then who is the father? Also I believe there is more to the girl and her pet lizard since Lake did in kind of mess up the tape which might have reveal more about her. Also I noticed that passengers woke up in a pod, but what's surprising about it is that Tulip didn't wake up in one like the rest so where did go exactly?
My current theory is that the train exists in a possible future, created by scientists as a last-ditch means of averting the apocalyptic Wasteland by changing the past with the most advanced therapy imaginable. People are abducted from the present as an effort to improve their lives and steer humanity towards a better fate.
I think having Amelia return in Book 3 would set up an interesting dynamic with Grace.
This probably is the best comparison: But Grace could worship Amelia the same way Kylo Ren worshiped Darth Vader. And like Ren, Grace chooses to remain ignorant to all but one aspect of Amelia; the aspect that shouldn't be praised.

i have this story idea where jesses little brother Nate goes onto the train and the apex corrupt him with their ideas or whatever. then the apex team up with the (new) slivers and basically use Nate as ransom for Lake, as a last ditch effort to arrest lake. not gonna be canon, but something i really want to write or draw :o)
I’m sad that we probably won’t get to see more of MT because she’s off the train.
When MT/ Lake didn’t go through the portal, I thought she was going to take off the pocket sized mirror that Tulip gave her and give it to Jesse so she can get in it and they would go out the portal. I’m so excited for Book 3!

My fantasy: The Cat, Atticus, One-One, and Alan Dracula work together to overthrow the threat that Grace and the Apex pose against the passengers and the train’s inhabitants. But if it’s just The Cat that has a main or recurring role in the third season, I won’t complain. :)
So weird thought or whatever, Lake said herself that she came from the chrome car as a reflection of Tulip right? So I would assume all reflections come from the Chrome Car, but that would mean the Train and Real World are more connected than we think, we can even tell this by the end of Book One when Tulip doesn't have a reflection in the real world, so all reflections are real and come from the train? If so...... Wouldn’t the train world have existed before reflections where even discovered in the real world. It’s a very messy theory but like... WHO KNOWS

No, the pod he was in was on its way to the tape car. So either this man is dead or walking around the train without a number...which is obviously a bad situation to be in!

After seeing the Apex in season 2 now I really want to see Amelia again in season 3. And it’s a shame we never see her in the second season. More over, how did they even meet her in the first place?
And of corse the more of The Cat there is the better.
The apex never met Amelia - grace believes she has the highest number on the train.
She does know that the old conductor (Amelia) was thrown out of power, but she doesn’t actually know who it is.
Book 3: I’ll give you that and then some.
To be honest, I’m not a fan of how the show progressed past Book 1. The original short (and even the first few episodes) got me excited for a mystery. There were so many questions, like what is this train, who runs it, where is the train, et cetera. I remember when the Conductor (Amelia) was revealed, I thought that it was early for the Big Bad to be announced. And then the entire train was demystified by the end of the season. So when season 2 started, the show had morphed into something completely different. All of the workings of the train, minus its origin and location, have been explained to us. They’ve pulled the curtain back on the Wizard of Oz.
Mystery shows don’t work once there’s no mystery.
