  • We may have missed out on the really cold temps, but we did make it out for a sub zero (c) camp!
Johnny, Dave and I along with two dogs head out for a brief yet enjoyable overnighter. This one was super close to home yet we were able to get into the proper wilderness and away from it all.
Since it was such a short trip, we settled for military style ration packs for supper, but went all out on breakfast.
I had quite a few pieces of new gear to try out.. .nothing outlandish or expensive, but sometimes the little things make a big impact. I had carved a new wood cup and this was it's first voyage as well as first pour of coffee!
I hope you enjoy this one, we all sure did.

Very sorry for yours and your family’s loss Kris. Great way to get away from the ‘everydays’ even if it was for one night to spend some time in the woods. Thanks for taking the time to video and share…

Yes indeed... I was able to get out for day hikes a lot of the days, but an overnight adds that extra bit of escapism. Thanks for watching!
