@@MrOznek10 They work fine with the Kessil controller but they have to be manually setup. Nicrew released a HyperReef controller a few months ago that basically copied the Kessil controller, is 1/2 the price and doesn't require an external power supply.
Hello, I recently set up a Marineland 5 gallon nano for a reef setup with a Nicrew 30w ; I have it placed on the lid. What brightness do you recommend? I also got the Nicrew timer.
I was thinking the same as I am getting back into reef tanks. I know you can turn the intensity down with the controller and this light can grow with you if you upgrade to a bigger tank.
I would go with the 100 watt if you have the budget, you can just run them on lower settings and you will get better spread. And you will never have to upgrade your lighting if you wanna keep hard corals in the future.
Hello, i do highly recommend these lights budget friendly, great par, and they are very quiet. You can slightly hear the fans but it's not loud by anymeans
@@BCInnovate I found their site. Looks like that’s the only one they make anymore. I really liked how you can adjust those lights. Might be ordering one for my 20 gal soon!
There's much more to "light" than just par measurements, Corals do best when there's proper mixing of lights to create natural environment, that's why big brands charge so much.. they're using lenses and different color Led's to creat the natural light for reefs.. check out any reef tank on RUclips using big brand light vs cheap Amazon light and you'll see what I mean. Corals will have better spread and look healthier with proper lighting
I agree, but as many reefers are on a budget initially getting into the hobby is expensive. I didn't get paid for doing a review or anything in return from the company, but for the price of these lights my corals are doing great and these lights are over 2 years old.
You'll also see people spending 1000s on lights with all the bells and whistles and then only using the blue channel.... You're going to have a hard time convincing a lot of people that big brand lights somehow have a better version of blue.
This Nicrew Hyperreef light has “blue” & “white” channels… The “white” channel has a red, green, and yellow LED, as well as all of the cooler white LED’s. In other words, it has the full spectrum of lights. Your higher cost lamps might have UV LED’s, which will produce less growth and more coloration. This is because you are literally giving the corals sunburn. Just like human skin, the added coloration is produced as a way to protect itself from the damaging UV. If you want colorful, but slower growing corals… pay more. If you want better growth, but less color… pay less. I have my red, yellow, and green LED’s blacked out. White contains all the colors of the rainbow, so my corals get full spectrum… but those colors don’t “muddy” up my tank color. I like the blues and crisp white only, which gives a slightly less chance of growing algae.
Just bought these 150s wow I didn’t know they were so powerful. I see so many people bad mouthing them. I bought them and they are amazing. Thanks.
I've had them over two years and they are great!
I was actually considering getting this light and was worried it wouldn't be enough. Thank you for putting my mind at ease. :)
This helps so much. I have these lights and have softies. THANK YOU!
Thanks for the info I'm going to try these lights out.
Mine are still going strong!
Super helpful just picked up 2 100w on a kessil spectral controller. Beautiful tank
does it work well with the kessil spectral controller ? considering buying one

Saw your video and ordered a 150 for my 80 gallon tank
I just order a 150 for my 75, how's the lights on it bruh
Extremely helpful, thank you!
This is awesome, I do wish the camera man backed up so we could see the tank depth and length a lil better but still good
Thank you for your feedback, I did measure or say the depth and length in the video
How many and what lights would you use in a 40g breeder I was thinking 2 50w or a 100 and 50 or one 150 not to sure ?

They make the corals have a nice color pop! I'm impressed. Do you have an updated video of coral growth from the light?
I actually just recorded a video it will be live this week!
@@BCInnovate Awesome!
Hi, i have. 50x50x50 tank and one 50 w nicrew lamp. How high above the water should i mount it, or how far from coral pls?
Nice video I've two 150 lights was always curious on the par output. What controller do you use?
I'm using the reef angel controller
Would you use one 150w on a 20g long?
I'm my opinion that is overkill. I would say a 100 watt or 2 50 watt is plenty
I am considering putting a 150 on my 20 gallon long as well because I know I will be upgrading later. Did you ever get a 150w for your 20 gallon long?
I was thinking the same as I am getting back into reef tanks. I know you can turn the intensity down with the controller and this light can grow with you if you upgrade to a bigger tank.
Any updated video on the growth from the lights?
Hello Eric growth is great I've had to trim my tank a few times now and the lights are still solid!
@@BCInnovate Thats awesome. Good to know as I have one now on my tank as well.
U think one 50w would be good enough for soft and some lps corals in a fiji cube 14x18 display area 22.4 gallons

How loud are the fans? Can you put this in the Living Room?
Not to loud at all, i don't even notice them. I feel like my jebao power heads are louder
@@BCInnovate wow really? Thanks I will get these
Very helpful. Thank you
Hey, would you recommend these lights? Are they loud??
Hello, i do highly recommend these lights budget friendly, great par, and they are very quiet. You can slightly hear the fans but it's not loud by anymeans
How is the shimmer?
I’m curious about your controller. Which one is it and how do you have it on a tablet(assuming).
Yes so the user app is just a web site that you log into so it's only a 50 dollar tablet from Walmart and mine is the reef angel star
@@BCInnovate I found their site. Looks like that’s the only one they make anymore. I really liked how you can adjust those lights. Might be ordering one for my 20 gal soon!
I was thinking of getting 2 50w for my 55 to keep just softies and LPS. Should I get the 100w instead? Nice vdo btw
I would do 2 50w you'll get more spread vs 1. My lights are now over a year old and haven't missed a beat
@@BCInnovate cool thanks, thinking about getting them too
How did you mount it to the ceiling like what mount did you use
I just used a ring screw from homedepot
What controller is that?
It's a reef angel star!
I just looked into up online so you use your own tablet/PC to operate all the modules?
For a 36 in L x 12 in W x 15 in H tank What would be better the 100 W or 150 W
150w cause you can always run them lower.
You should’ve done readings with it turned up more 80-90% daylight and 100% attinic.
How long is this tank?
5 feet wide
Keren gan 👍
I'm getting 2 or 3 for my 180 .super stoked to get them. No sense in paying 300 400 bucks for other lights. When I can pay 150 and get these bad boys
👊
