Hop chambers are generally the most particular / specific part of an AEG. Saying that the Prowin hype has been around for the past 10 years, this is nothing new, lot better options out there now, Retro Arms, ZCI etc. I would say anyone looking to upgrade should first ask themselves, does it need upgrading? If not then don't bother.
prowin hop up chamber doesnt work well in krytac cause barrel diameter, stick to stock one or prometheus/laylax specific for krytac, other units lacks in sealing with barrel resulting compresion loss
I'm happy I've found this as I've had exactly the same issue!! I've got 3 hops with my specna arms m4 and I too haven't been able to get it to work. I found it liked to split the hop rubbers too
The newer iterations of the Prowin hop units really just don't like to work unfortunately and there's no point in putting money into something you need to modify straight out of the box
@@donotdisturb2995 I also have the specna arms co2 that my step son uses, its been turned into a dmr and is comfortably shooting .28 as straight as an arrow using the same hop unit as mentioned earliar {ics}using just a guarder 70 degree and nothing else, works a treat, parts were sourced from both firesupport and patrolbase. Hope this helps buddy
Mate I do have issues with my prowin in my Krytac that's why it sits in my parts bin. As for the lips they should stop the BB from entering the hop chamber by offering a small amount of resistance "not to much" and that does help somewhat wit the air seal 👍
I should mention that I did have it sitting perfectly with very little resistance but when I was having the issues I decided to take it right down and it still was shooting 0.5j so either way it wouldn't work
I watch negative airsoft and he says these are dogshit. He even says they're almost as bad as madbull which is the worst you can get. This video and the comment section confirms it.
Prowin hop hype comes from the brand name. I've found it often has fitment issues and feeding issues as a result. I'd honestly say don't bother with them and get a maxx hop unit. They're drop in fit in most guns and are far better designed.
Personally I've had so much problems with the Maxx, some my own fault, some who knows, but Prowin (now packaged in Dytac containers) was always plug and play for me.
@@dainiusvysniauskas2049 right it is not good at all but it is better than my stock hop up unit tho for the money it was an ok upgrade might upgrade to a prometheus or maxx hop up
Don't know what's the hype. Tolerance is all over thr place, nub arm is wobbly, rotary wheel looks shit on prowin... There is much better alternatives...it's not the worst...but I would say it's worth considering putting prowin hop into any replica
I have noticed on my pro win hip chamber that the nozzle doesnt sit all the way to the feed lips of the hop rubber i.e. creating an air leak through my mag well, has anybody got the same issue? I noticed when i shone a torch down the barrel and could see a 1mm gap to the feed tube.
Been have nothing else but trouble with the prowin hopup. Misfeeding low fps etc will be switching to maybe prometheus rotary hopup.
RIP the dream :(

The zci cnc hop is made after the prowin, do you think it would work better as it comes in a pack with other buckings and stuff

Prometheus rotory hop up unit specifically for krytac!!!! The hop up game for airsoft is very expensive and there's alot of head aches
i get the same problem with a madbul hopup chamber in my cyma m16

I also have a specna arms m4 and I need a hop up what do u recommend?
@@donotdisturb2995 ive found the madbull to be pretty decent, especially with using a r hop with the ICS garand works great! Hope this helps
Dale Flaherty yes this was helpful but if u don’t mind I have one more question. Did the hop up increase your fps at all?

I mean... any aftermarket part might require some modification or tinkering to work correctly.

Me too bud. That guy says it how it is. I often heed his advice.

Those orange Maxx LED units? They look so sexy
@@romeowhiskey2759 yep. Those are the ones. I run one in my Polarstar system, hops perfectly!

can i install with mblock?

would this be a good hop up unit paired with promy purple bucking?
It's not a good hop up unit period.

G&G green and an orange krytac so it's definitely not down to specific buckings
