- Today I'm roasting 1lb of Mexico single-origin coffee. I'll take you through my whole process from start to finished product. I am so grateful to learn on this machine. And I can't wait to put this knowledge to the next level with our new roaster coming soon!
My batch size: 140g x 4 = little more than 1lbs. ~17oz roasted coffee at the end.
Charge: 380F

Andy advice on how to find the Right Profile for each Bean Types / origins?
Even in the pro space. Nothing replaces the cupping table!
the switch in the apron pocket is a glorious touch
That Mexican bean is a great cup in the end. Nice technique and a great finished product.
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing video,
Did u use background profile with pid controller?
Hmm not for this one.
its really great and very helpful video thanks a lot
what about the smoke, is it annoying when I rost inside the home?
other things...
what's your advice I am confused between two choices (Hottop and the Aillio Bullet R1)
which one is better?
Best Regards
Thank you so much, looking forward to more video from you... cheers
Thanks so much for sharing this! Can’t wait to see the new setup :)
Me too!! Thanks for watching
would you mind sharing your roast profile on this? i know you've upgraded to a 1kg roaster but for us new 2k+ users who are learning, i am trying to maintain a decent RoR and wish to see other roast profiles.
“Now take a look at this goddamned beautiful data.” 😂🤣😂
Hi, thanks for sharing this video. It appears you had the heat at zero when you charged, and then raised to 100% at the turning point. Just curious as to the reason for that.
That's called a soak.
Hey. Great videos. I ended up going for a bullet. Do you find turning the heat off for the first min works well on these smaller roasters as well as the bigger ones like your MCR.
Can’t say since I’ve never roasted on a bullet. But I think it’s industry practice for 1-3kg machines. Since it’s smaller drum.
silly question what kind of coffee canister is that? i would not mind doing that trade system for my friends to sample my roasts
just a snap top metal canister. pretty cheap on amazon
Awesome videos..... I'm actually roasting with a mod popcorn but the batch is too small (3 oz), I'm looking to upgrade to hottop, is still your little hottop on sale??
Sorry sold a while back
Question: This roaster usually runs at 250g / batch. Why do you use 140g?
It’s recommended to run it at 70% capacity.
Does this program work with Mac? And thank you so freaking much for posting this!
Np:) I didn’t work for my Mac once artisan upgraded to 2.0 had to use my pc
Hi there, I am considering purchasing this roaster too, and been researching a bit about it. One thing I cannot be perfectly sure of this roaster is what kind of heat source it utilizes. Is it from hot air blower or from heating the drum electrically? Thanks in advance!
It’s a hot coil inside powered by electricity.
When do you hit charge? Right after you drop bean?
Yes
The artisan program comes with the machine or you need to buy it separately?
Artisan is free, just need to download it to your computer:)
Where did you get the adjustable table? Thanks
Home Depot!
eating the roasted bean has no problem at all to the body? haha, i've always wanted to eat what i roasted because they smell so good roasted.
Haha naw, just a little crunchy!
Which is this machines Name ??
Terrible sound quality couldn't understand much of what you were saying.
It would have helped if the camera gave clear shots of the profile.
