Jared, this morning I gave a Book of Mormon to my wife. It is undoubtedly the most important sharing the gospel moment of my life. I was re-awakened to the gospel in 2020, much to her chagrin, because she is an atheist, having grown up without any version of religion in her background. Anyway, that’s why this is an important one. God bless, keep doing the good work.

Jared, I thought I would add to the Kirtland Temple miracles that almost no one knows about. I used to work for BYU in the Physical Facilities department, and boy did I learn some cool things about the church infrastructure as a whole. Anyway, when the Kirtland temple was built, the subfloor floorboards were set horizontally. As most who have had any building experience at all know, this is far less stable and is not as strong or stable as placing the subfloor boards vertically. The LDS church has provided so much goodwill to the other restorational churches that at first it surprised me. It doesn't anymore. The LDS church, through BYU's construction department within the physical facilities department, went to Kirtland to shore up this unstable subfloor. Those I talked to who were part of the project were amazed that the building stood as well as it did simply because the subfloor shouldn't have been able to hold the pulpits.
While I've never been to Kirtland, it's a major bucket list item I hope to see within the next few years. Nauvoo is next, and I can't wait. My aunt and uncle live in Olathe, KS near Kansas City. They took us to Independence, Far West, Adam-ondi-Ahman, and Liberty Jail. On our next trip out there we will be going to Nauvoo where we have a lot of family history. This is all so very cool to watch unfold.
Edit: Another point, if I may. There have been no meetings at Adam-ondi-Ahmon, and there won't be until the Lord appears before the righteous. I'm very close to a couple of very good men, good enough to develop the circuit for seminary and institute. Since you have mentioned this before, I inquired with those I know who have worked on said curricula, one has written a book on Adam-ondi-Aman and has studied at great length what is to happen there, I can tell you with reasonable certainty that meetings there have not occurred. The Lord can present preparations and plans to the brethren within the existing framework of the current active temples and other properly dedicated spaces. The righteous saints will know when it's time, and the righteous saints are still around. The likely breakup of meetings will necessarily be training sessions in preparation for the Lord's return. It is and will be the job of the house of Ephraim to organize large numbers of new saints and the lost ten tribes. This is what the different meetings will be for; the Lord himself, a resurrected Joseph Smith - head of the dispensation of the fullness of times, and other glorified beings. It's going to be absolutely wonderful. Something far beyond our imagination.

I agree that the meeting has not happened in Adam-ondi-Ahman yet. My main reason is because it states that all those who have held keys will go and give an accounting. All the keys will be delivered back to Adam, who will give them back to Christ.
The keys are still on the earth.

That's so cool about the Kirtland Temple. I'm excited for you to go to Nauvoo (it will be my first time this year too) and Kirtland. Kirtland was amazing. You won't be disappointed. Thanks for sharing!
In regards to Adam-ondi-Ahman, nah, I would definitely disagree with your friends. I've collected all scriptures and other primary sources that I currently know about. A lot of people tend to privately interpret scriptures and put together elaborate theories based on their own learning, but I believe we should stick with what the prophets and apostles have actually said and how they interpret scripture. See my RUclips playlist called "Adam-ondi-Ahman" in which we review all these scriptures and primary sources. Also, see my spreadsheet called "Quotes:A-Z" topics: "Adam-ondi-Ahman," "Adam-ondi-Ahman, Appearances at," "Adam-ondi-Ahman, Hints".
      Thanks for the comment! 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

    Luke 15:20
“ his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.”
When we meet those in the city of Enoch - I don’t think it will be - “ hi Enoch, I am Patti. Nice to meet you.”
Just like the prodigal son was drawn to go to his father - his father was drawn to run to his son.
I think we will experience the love of knowing we are a family.
We will mourn, comfort, and rejoice together.
There won’t be any awkward, kissing how our limited understanding might picture - we will know what the pure love of Jesus Christ feels like, and we won’t want to withhold it from anyone.
    - my thoughts - great video - thank you 🕊❤️

    Jared,
Thank you for staying on the topic of the Kirtland Temple. Many years ago I was led by the spirit to a spectacular book written by Karl Ricks Anderson, "The Savior in Kirtland". This book brought me to a higher level of spirituality. It increased my love for & testimony of the Prophet Joseph Smith.
There are many recorded heavenly manifestations contained in this book.
While Brother Anderson was giving a tour of Kirtland to Elder Neil A Maxwell, Brother Anderson was asked by Elder Maxwell to compile the stories. Elder Maxwell indicated that most of the members of the Church had never heard these stories.
I am grateful for your diligence in your research.
    Just Chris

"Stoop shouldered" had a different connotation 200 years ago. Yes, it means bent or hunched over like it does today, but not necessarily due to poor posture or a disease. It could be a sign of descending or lowering oneself from a position of rank, dignity, or superiority; to condescend (see Websters Dictionary 1828 or Collins Dictionary). Believed to be derived from Old English stupan; related to Middle Dutch stupen to bow.

I can’t help but think of Moses and the “burning bush” when you read about the cloven tongues of fire. Not really on fire, but that was the best way to describe to a mortal person what it actually looked like. I also don’t think it had to do with worthiness, rather the different spiritual gifts we each receive. Overall, what an amazing experience! Thank you for sharing the account with us 🙏🏻❤️

Stoop shoulders in the Webster dictionary in the late 1800. Means to descend from one's level of dignity. That is what I found in the Webster's dictionary.

Cloven tongue is in reference to serpent (in a good way) the power to prophesy and testify with power and fire. Like a Seraphim, it gives hint of fire or burning power of the Holy Ghost and testimony. I thought it was mentioned in D&C 109.

Having hunched shoulders is one of the most common musculoskeletal disorders. Instead of an upright posture with a straight spine, hunched shoulders are consistently in an “upward” position. People often group this condition with rounded shoulders, another common disorder of the upper spine.

I would think that some seeing and some not may not have had so much to do with worthiness but with the fact that not all are given the same gifts. We are all given different gifts, one of those I would think is to see angels and other visions. Then others are given the gift of prophecy, other gift of tongues, others interpretation of tongues, etc. ❤ Thank you, I really enjoy these videos where you go through these writings.

I tend to think that if unworthy people (who lied in their recommends interviews) were present in the congregation, the miracles wouldn't have happened.
See the story of the three witnesses for an example. It was not until Martin left that the others received the manifestation, and he was later able to receive it as well.
As to the reasons why some are ministered to, while some only see the ministration, and others only feel it, I can only guess that it has to do with the gifts of the Spirit, which are given to each in different measure, to the sensitivity of the person, or to the purposes of God.

I had thought while ponder on the words "great love" for them. Consider that great love for each. The kissing is not like the mouth to mouth that we all think about. But consider that of French and Italians members might greet each other when meeting one another. Consider what a meeting between two individuals might be like when "love" is un-restrained and the thoughts and feelings of heart are known without words. That great love might cause one to fall upon the earth at meeting or seeing the savior realizing who he is but fully understanding the sacrifice.

So glad I got to go...my son & his family live in London,Ohio (2 1/2 hrs south)...it is amazing how Lake Erie has such an affect on the WEATHER up there...winds off the lake affect their weather hours south even...I imagined how church members having to leave due to violence against them left in similar weather conditions (please watch the march 26, 1820 movie on RUclips if you like further insight in church history) we went through Joseph & Emma's house there too...I feel a greater insight into their lives I didn't previously have...the DAYS of the original dedication were such that people did not want to LEAVE...that's how I've felt with temple attendance, just wishing I could STAY...(to "go no more out" 🙂)...imagine: WE will meet SO many of those same individuals , angels, Joseph & Emma...lots of our brothers & sisters from previous eras...(& ultimately, our LORD & SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST)...it feels SO CLOSE...especially after being in Kirtland...my next goal: NAUVOO...never been there!...🌿🌸🌿😮

My feeling is that perhaps he was leaning forward? It seems incongruent that a person would be resurrected with a physical malady. Jmo

Everyone talks about the Kirtland Temple dedication and the restoration of all the priesthood authority to the Church. I was told about the talk given by Elder M. Russell Ballard at a BYU devotional in the 1990s. I found it fascinating telling how many times Heavenly Father was seen with His son, Jesus Christ. He also spoke of the ancient prophets restoring each of the needed ordinances for celestial life. It is pretty amazing to think these prophets had to wait so long to restore these ordinances.

    Cloven Tongues -
A cloven tongue refers to a phenomenon described in the Bible, specifically in the book of Acts, where the disciples of Jesus Christ were filled with the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. The description states that there appeared unto them “cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them” (Acts 2:3).
The word “cloven” means “divided” or “separated”, and it is believed to refer to the appearance of tongues that seemed to part or divide, as if they were distributed among the disciples. The tongues were not actual flames, but rather a manifestation of the Holy Spirit’s presence, symbolizing the gift of languages that the disciples received.
In this context, the cloven tongues represented the ability of the disciples to speak in different languages, breaking down the barrier of language and allowing them to communicate with people from various nations and cultures. This event marked the beginning of the spread of Christianity beyond its Jewish roots, as the disciples were empowered to share the Gospel with a wider audience.
The gospel was being restored so the gift of tongues (the ability to speak other languages and understand other languages) needed to be restored.

There are many descriptions of Abraham Lincoln, as having stooped shoulders. He was said to have had Marfan syndrome or strabismus, but I wouldn't know if an angel would have exhibited the effects of his/her earth life.

Wow. So inspiring. Thought: The tall man may be Abel? First to die. His parents were very tall. He may be the being who accepts the dedications of the houses of the Lord.

Heber C.Kimball was one of the greatest prophets in the church. He was tall, but his voice was high pitched. He made many prophecies, all of which came true. As for the angel with stooped shoulders, the only person it matched in scripture is Adam: “And Adam stood up in the midst of the congregation; and, notwithstanding he was bowed down with age....”
Is this a clue? Certainly resurrected beings don't have poor posture. And in a resurrected state, their eyes, like the Lord's, be as flames of fire, not black. So if Adam was appearing as he did while on Earth, he might have white hair, black eyes and be stooped-shouldered. And if the angel was there to accept the dedication of the temple, it would certainly be appropriate as he held all the priesthood keys. It's not the best clue. In fact, it's lame, but it's the only one I can think of.

Stoop shouldered means bent forward and drooping. Usually due to a spinal scoliosis, an imperfection. I wonder why an angelic being would not have a perfect body.

Sounds like he may not have been a resurrected being. Perhaps he was one of those asked to stay behind to prepare a people. John the Beloved or a Nephite or another we're not aware of. His difference in personage doesn't sound as resurrected, but more like those partially/temporarily transfigured.

    Jared,
This thought is relating to temples.
I was looking at the temple map & noticed 1 interesting thing.
In the United States there are temples in each state or territory, except one. South Dakota. There is not one temple in South Dakota. Interesting? I wonder why?
    Your thoughts?
When I zoomed into the state, I noticed it is primarily Indian reservations.
    Any significance?
I'm not trying to make this a big deal. I just found this hole in the United States where there is no temple interesting.
I wonder why the Lord's not placed a temple in that state.
    Spiritual reason?
    Church membership reason?
    Active members reason?
    Priesthood holders reason?
    Full tithe payers reason?
    Leadership reason?
    Logistic reason?
Just wondering. Doesn't affect my testimony. Not pertinent to my testimony. Just an observation.
    Any thoughts?

Once upon a time, part of the church determination for a temple was local tithe payers, as this was a material and statistical indication of those saints who are living the law of consecration. In the 21st century, because of the wealth of the church, I wonder if the determination might be different due to the hastening of the work for salvation.

"Stoop shouldered" if you walk or stand "with a stoop" it means that your back is hunched forward so that your head and neck project somewhat forward of your shoulders. It means that he didn't stand erect and straight but was "stooped" or bent at the neck. I find that interesting because you would think as a resurrected being he would stand erect and "perfect". This suggests a very individulistic state still exists in a resurrected state...
