Any advice for how one could adjust their insulin intake when using Ryzodeg 70/30? I have to eat before any long activity, I also surf with a gel in case I have any lows in the water. Exercising allows me to take a much lower dosage and I do not take it before I exercise but this is only possible if I am exercising/surfing in the morning so it can be frustrating if I want to go for an afternoon surf or run but have too much insulin onboard.

Honestly, I would ask your doctor to switch to a non-mixed insulin strategy! There's no reason you should be on a mixed insulin if you're athletic and capable of managing multiple types of insulin!

@@DiabetesNerd I have considered this, just means I need to learn all over again as I was only diagnosed just over a year ago and have only ever been on Ryzodeg. I will have a chat with my doctor though. Appreciate your videos as someone relatively new to all of this they are helpful!

@@MattLitkie It's worth it! The learning curve with T1D is endless anyway. Getting off that mixed insulin will make life easier, I promise.

As a type 2 diabetic without medication, I get dizzy and never feed my workout. I'm afraid of falling. I tested and my drop is significant. I can drop into the 80s. It seems to drop quickly. I get the most dizzy on the treadmill. So now walk on the track.

@@susandevinenapoli7649 HI dear! Sounds like there's some other things going on! If you take insulin, you also might be taking too much or timing your exercise for when you have a lot of insulin on board. I teach this in my book! www.amazon.com/dp/B0BYGNFQ47
