Looking for Food at Home
When the kids get hungry, they look for food.
They go to the kitchen and look around.
They often ask some questions.
They want to know what food there is.
Where are the cherries?
Someone ate them all.
Where are the bananas?
We ran out yesterday.
Where are the peaches?
They were so sweet we had them all.
The hungry child keeps looking for something sweet to eat.
Mom knows her children need to eat so many things.
She cooks and cooks what is good for them.
She knows they need some meat.
She also makes vegetables.
They like carrots, lettuce, tomatoes, and beets.
They even eat some cucumber and like the squash she cooks.
