I like how at the end you really zoom in unlike others on RUclips since you are so confident in your work. Kinda how like people who wrap cars, only show the car from afar.
TooSt3p sure do. There isn't anything wrong with that. Even my own videos on my other youtube channel that are more then 3 months old i consider an older video lol! Either way i meant what i said about the way mark did this video. He did a great job showing all details :)
Always great to see these tutorials and i love the extended versions i found. Thank-you for taking the time to explain the bits to us newbies learning. i am not new to routers but these bits and fitment tips are new. Thank you again. please don't stop. You have given me ideas and tips for other non car audio projects i would like to do. Again Mark a really big thankyou.
you all probably dont give a damn but does anybody know a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost my password. I would love any tricks you can give me!
@Karter Ignacio Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Very nicely done! Watched it all of the way through and you did a great job! No to nag, but for a cleaner and safer cut on the router, try and use a "Conventional" cut (against the direction of the rotation of the bit). This means for outside cuts, you'll turn the routed part Clockwise. For inside cuts to go against the router bit direction, you'll reverse and rotate the part CounterClockwise. Although it doesn't matter much in MDF (which has no grain), it IS a safety concern since a "Climb" cut (like you were using) could grab the part and fling it. In regular woods it's important to go in the proper direction to prevent chipout on your grain. Minor point but thought you'd like to hear it. Again, very nicely done!
This is so simple to do . . .you just use a set of templates that were made on a CNC and with some router experience and skill you got a box! How cool is that . . .
Love your attention to detail ... question on the plexi glass , if I attempt to make a beauty panel with a window cut out so you can see the amps and add plexi glass to the window should I worry about the amps over heating?
Old video I know but at about 8 minutes you're talking about talking about taking a 1/32th off for each piece of vinyl resulting in oversizing by 1/16th, I would think that since two pieces of vinyl need to go in each side of the middle piece that you would need to take of 4/32 or 1/8 off of the middle piece. What am I missing ?
Heya Mark! Huge fan, thanks so much for your time and effort in providing superior content!! I have a rather specific question, have you used or know about light weight materials useable to achieve equal quality for weight sensitive applications? Specifically, MDF is heavy, have you ever experimented with light weight wood such as balsa or even composites?
The only thing a bit annoying for us from Denmark and other country's is that you use iso ( inch and so on) and we use metric ( mm, cm and so on). Other than that, great videos :) Best regards
You're watching an American video by an American guy on an American website. Get over it. It's like me going to Copenhagen and complaining they don't use dollars as currency.
I watched a video this morning and it you use a octagon pattern mesh. I am needing some for the outside grill on my truck and can't find anywhere else. I am asking about it on here cause I think this trick would be cool behind it as well. Where can I find the mesh like that?
Hi Mark, I'll be making a view port in a sub box. The box is a small, flat enclosure only .75 cu ft and the window is going to be 11" in diameter. 12" woofer running max 400 W in an SQ system. I'm wondering what is the thinnest piece of plexi I can use in such a case? I'd like use this technique to gain just a little space behind the woofer, so I'd like to use 1/4" if possible. It's a small circle, 12" accounting for a half inch mounting lip, so I'm thinking 1/4" would suffice with minimal flex during woofer operation? You've worked with plexi quite a bit, what is your opinion?
hi what router are you using? and do you happen to know if mobile solutions would ship their products (templates and bits )outside US? thanks! jake - philippines

Do you use heat when wrapping your vinyl? And did you polish the outside of the plexi ring ? Your videos are a big help.
i like the jt shop googles!
Nice made
Quick question - How did you cut the 1/4 mdf template frame with such a nice inner and outer curve?

Most people who are concerned with Weight when constructing a Sub enclosure go with Birch instead of MDF.

Well most people who only use metric also show in inch, just for people who would rather use inch rather the the "norm"
1"=2.54cm=25.4mm the end
Google it

+caraudiofab I know this is old but where did you get the LED strips and how were they powered? I could use them for several applications.
What vinyl did you use???
Awesome job but what the hell is it?
If only I was rich I'd send you my car & let you build a system lol
