This is so painfully beautiful. My Mother fought an 11 year battle with lung cancer and the day before she passed away, she sang this song to me. The second I started listening to this, I burst into tears. This is the power of music. I got goosebumps. I could hear my heartbeat as if it was beating right outside my chest. Thank you for this ❤
I dont mean to recall your sorrow, but I also learned about this song in my darkest days. So this song is intrinsically a sad song to me too. Nevertheless, this song also brings toughness to my character as well. The melody seems to imply that you have to be tough to get over your trouble.
This is our song - my husband and I played beautiful music together as friends and eventually lovers. Accompanying him on the piano while he sang this song one October afternoon during our teens four decades ago was a special, special moment I will never forget. . It has been several years now since his passing and this song never fails to make me stop and long for him even more.
The harmonica performance moved me to tears. Beautiful composition by Henry Mancini for the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's. It won him an Oscar for best soundtrack in 1961.
Everything is energy…it never dies. It merely transforms. Physics shows this. Our loved ones who have transitioned to another form are still with us, here…ether-really
this song has meaning for me as well.... lost my sweet love of some 32+ years and in some way this arrangement drought sadness mixed with sweet memories.
As a teenager, I grew up with my favorite aunt, who always listened to easy listening music. She was like a second mother to me. I'm now 64 years old and I still love instrumental easy listening music. I miss my aunt, Mima, short for Domenica. This rendition of a classic, Moon River, is beyond compare. My heartfelt thanks for your hard work and effort!
I recognized this song back when I was a kid. Every morning before we go to school, my father will turn on the radio and this song will play. Even in such a young age, I felt that there's something beautiful about this song because until today whenever I hear this, I get a flashback from when I first heard this song. Now I'm all grown-up and still listening to every version of this. It's very beautiful and calming. I can listen to this all day.
Oh, Henry Mancini...the only composer whose songs make me happy and sad at the same time. His songs, eternal, the crescendos so beautiful. And with Moon River...don't think I've ever heard it in any form without crying somewhere in the song. It is so beautiful...as are all of Mancini's. Thank you London FILMharmonic Orchestra...that was an elegantly beautiful performance.
Thank you so much. It was a lot of hard work but it paid off in the end. There will be three more videos to come. One summer's day (spirited away) There's no place like home (lost) and Nobody's Side (chess the musical)
Bravo, bravo! Thank you London FILMharmonic for your rapturous version of Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer's timeless ballad "Moon River" from BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S starring Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard. Today's so called "pop" composers could learn a lesson or two in writing the kind of pure and deceptively simple melody that Mancini could create, one that floods you with emotion and lingers in your memory forever.
An exceptionally gifted and magnificently moving performance of a beautiful song. I had never thought of an harmonica as an orchestral instrument, that is until I heard the soulful yet flawless performance highlighted in this gorgeously arranged musical moment. Raphael great job, kudos to the orchestra and especially the harmonica player.
This rendition is SENSATIONAL. There is so much talent in this arrangement... I have a special attachment to this song (the original one) and this version has me in tears. Amazingly done!
Absolutely beautiful! It envelopes you and doesn't let you go until is done. The harmonica solo captured the true feeling of the song wonderfully. This was a nice slice of heaven. Thank you.
Warning: this is so painfully beautiful that one, at least with a soul, must emotionally prepare themselves for listening to this beforehand. Perhaps some previously viewed videos of abused animals might callus the listener enough to make it through this without coming to tears, otherwise it's hopeless----I say in whole hearted love for this video (and animals).
47 year old man here with tears in my eyes. From the start with the ever beautiful and soulful harmonica to the powerful yet heart rendering full orchestra, with this heart warming forever memorable song. Just absolutely beautiful.
Unbelievably wonderful rendition of one of my favorite tunes. I adore symphonies and orchestra. I spent years listening to the Boston pops. Sophisticated and classy
I remember this tune. My mother always played it and my Aunt all through out her house when she had it on speakers. I was a little girl at the age of 10 when I first heard this tune. Since then, every time I hear it, it brings me to tears and makes me think back when I first heard it because back then most people in the world were sane and life was good.
All of you musicians are so talented!! I cannot express the respect I have for you after listening to this piece!! Keep up the good work. Lots of love and best wish for a happy new year☺!!!

beautiful song . brings back some memories of my father who favorite am radio station would plat this . I remember a particlar cold fall night when he and i went to a hs football game and this played on the radio . Always loved this song. I would sing it to my dog Simon,he would close his eyes and relax . miss him greatly. song ALWAYS BRINGS BACK MEMORIES AND TEARS
I know I'm not the only one who develops a severe case of goosebumps when listening to this song. I can just see Audrey and George kissing in the rain.
Thank you so much Neil. It was a lot of hard work but it paid off in the end. There will be three more videos to come. One summer's day (spirited away) There's no place like home (lost) and Nobody's Side (chess the musical)
I shared this with my future daughter in-law due to the beautiful rendition, our shared love of breakfast at Tiffani’s and the chills it gave me. To my surprise and delight she walked down the aisle to this🤍 not a dry eye in the place!!!
Just gorgeous. May be the best arrangement of a classic movie theme I’ve ever heard. Wonderful intro, and I appreciate that the arrangement ends with the airy coda from the film. Beautiful, haunting harmonica. The harp’s 3-notes (minor 6th?) against the harmonica’s melody at 0 :55 is ingenious. The cellos’ spare, tender, entrance at 1 :11 is lovely. The shimmering passing chord at 1 :34 made me cry. Ravishing.
This song is a standard for studying the effects of nostalgia of human memory. No wonder all the comments are about people reminiscing about some of their most intense memories.
Escuchar esta obra de arte a la 1:16 am y disfrutar en la oscuridad de mi habitación de la belleza de la luna iluminándome desde mi ventana ...simplemente no tiene precio!!! Me siento bendecida!!!

Harmonica was my first instrument.
Poor little boy couldnt afford a guitar!
And a well-deserved Oscar it was.
The most beautiful version of this classic song ever. Thank you LFO, and thank you Henry Mancini, rest in peace.
I am in tears. Memories of my Wife and Son who are in Heaven.

One of those songs that lend itself beautifully to a harmonica.
Thank you so much. It was a lot of hard work but it paid off in the end. There will be three more videos to come. One summer's day (spirited away) There's no place like home (lost) and Nobody's Side (chess the musical)

C'est absolument merveilleux... Et ce titre ramène à si loin, le temps d'une vie....
Wonderful!
There's only one word to use in this case: beautiful.
I DID learn it when I was a kid... but not from my Grandad... though from a special man who was a bit of a granpa figure to us kids... so spot on! ;-)
I have loved this song ever since it came out. It is s a very emotional tune.
